And I did like the fact that the food was cooked to order so it was very fresh. I did not visit the restroom so I can't speak to the status of the cleanliness. The soda fountain could have been a little cleaner. Everything was very sticky, and the tray was overflowing. The tables and around the tables were clean.. The hush puppies, biscuits, and the macaroni and cheese were the best I've ever had from a fast food restaurant. As for the chicken, it smelled amazing. Unfortunately, from my taste, I found it very salty and greasy. The chicken was well flavored, but it was just way too salty for me I also tried their banana pudding and unfortunately, once again, at least from my taste, it was lacking the right flavors. I did try their honey butter chicken biscuit sandwich I found that to be delicious So for that alone, it's totally worth a trip. I did forget to take a picture of banana pudding and the honey butter biscuit sandwich

Mannnn ... I tell you, I am glad I walked through the doors of this establishment called Basilico…read morelocated on Harrison Rd. It's located between Homemade and Mr. Tire. As I walked in, I was mesmerized by the decorations of Little Italy. There's a light blue and white vintage micro pick up truck parked in the front, to the left are display of variety of gelato, pastries, cakes; in the center is ordering station and to the right are self serve beverages and dining area throughout the building. Their menu has so many features from panini, sandwiches, pizzas, wraps, salads, soups and appetizers. Once you place your order, it's self seating and you will be given a number and the food will be walked to you or you can pick it up. I ordered 3 items: 1) Arancini 2) Eggplant and Tomato Panini 3) Bruschetta Pizza. The panini has eggplant, roasted tomatoes, fresh mozzarella and basil pesto sauce. I thought I ordered a panini but the fresh mozzarella wasn't even melted. The skin of the eggplant was very chewy, a little tough. and the whole sandwich had great flavor. The panini also came with one side which you have variety of selections but I chose their mac n cheese. I'm surprised that they use cavatappi instead of the proper pasta. The pasta didnt really coat or absorb the flavors but ran away. My eyebrows lifted when the meat, peas and potatoes arancini arrive to the table because I wasn't expecting for them to be bigger than normal. I wouldn't say they are appetizer size but more like entree style because it can feed up to two people with generous portions that lies on top of marinara sauce. It was delicious but very heavy. They offer 15 varieties of pizzas and I order their bruschetta pizza which was topped with fresh tomatoes, garlic, basil, olive oil, Parmesan cheese and drizzle with balsamic glaze. The pizza was amazing but the under carriage was too soft and not crispy for me. Before i left, I had to get some gelato: coconut and their peanut butter chocolate which both of them were simply amazing. I also purchased their limoncello cake and peach raspberry strudel. I was excited about the limoncello cake, one of my favorites but unfortunately it fell flat for me. I didn't taste any lemon flavors and the cake itself was very dense. On the other hand, the strudel was delicious. The restaurant was clean, comfortable, light music and offer outside seating. I had immaculate service from Joshua, Chyna, Kayla and other staff members, they had great team work, friendly, attentive and very knowledgeable. I would make another visit to try other items on their menu.

Whoever was on the register (a young man) stood out. They treated us very well. Others made sure to address us on the way out and say goodbye. The restaurant was clean and the food was really good. My kids generally eat very healthy and normally hate chicken tenders. They won't eat frozen chicken tenders at all because they are usually overly breaded and just kinda gross. These are NOT that. I had a leftover tender from my daughter and it was sooo good. The kids loved them and my son was impressed. I honestly was so impressed with the service that we want to come back on Sunday for a mommy/son date we have with our friends. You have gained a lifelong customer!

There stood a cheerful young lady with a tablet beside the speaker box, hustling orders with the urgency of an air traffic controller at Reagan National. Now I will give them this -- they move people through faster than a tax refund disappears in Washington. I ordered three chicken finger baskets and repeated "unsweetened tea" enough times that it should have become part of the permanent record. Reconfirmed it at the second window too. We were in and out in four minutes flat, carrying enough Styrofoam and paper sacks to feed a Little League team. Six minutes later at home, the first sip of tea hit like liquified hummingbird feeder. That "unsweetened" tea had enough sugar in it to put the city of Fredericksburg on insulin monitoring. Somewhere in that kitchen a man clearly believes every Southerner measures tea sweetness by whether the spoon can stand upright in the cup. Then came the fries. Lord help us. These were pale, limp crinkle fries that looked less "fresh fried" and more "recently thawed beside a space heater." Not a hint of crispness. No golden-brown glory. Just soft potato strips lying in the tray like they had accepted defeat long before reaching the fryer. The chicken itself? Tiny little one-inch strips hiding under enough crunchy batter to qualify as exterior siding. Crispy, yes. Generous, no. More breading than bird. The Texas toast arrived soggy enough to make you wonder if it had been steamed instead of toasted. Calling that "Texas toast" is an insult to a state that once fought a war over standards. The lone survivor in this culinary rodeo was the sauce. That special sauce is carrying the entire franchise on its back like a weary mule climbing Pike's Peak. I finally asked my grandson if he had eaten there before. He admitted he had not. He'd simply been told it was great and figured nobody could really mess up chicken fingers and fries. Well. Humanity continues to innovate. Strike Raising Cane's from the regular rotation unless it is 2:00 in the morning, every other restaurant in Virginia is dark, and your soul is screaming for fried chicken through the fog of poor decisions.
