We had an excellent meal this evening. Sat at the bar, Jasmine was awesome. Great wine selection, $9 options were very good. Had no idea they had such fantastic Happy Hour drink and appetizer offerings. Skipped appetizers and ordered dinner, house salad with Italian Parmesan dressing was delicious and fresh, Italian Parmesan dressing was excellent. Shrimp and scallop linguine was very good, chicken herbed linguine nice, sauces not too heavy. And the fresh baked bread and dipping sauce was totally insane!!! Upon entering the restaurant, I was escorted to my table by a tall young man with long red hair that extended down to his eyes. Unfortunately, his overall appearance was quite disheveled, which did not make a particularly good first impression. After waiting a few minutes, I was warmly greeted by Jasmine B. I ordered a 9-ounce glass of Blackberry Sangria, the Toscana Filet and Shrimp, and, for dessert, a John Cole. The pasta was served hot; however, both the meat and shrimp were only lukewarm. The John Cole, consisting of ice cream and cake, had already melted by the time it reached my table. While I cannot say for certain, the temperature of the food may have been related to the workload Jasmine was handling. Jasmine was serving a large party of ten, several other tables in the booths, guests seated on the outside patio, and she was also responsible for the bar. That is an enormous amount of responsibility for one server. Despite being stretched in so many directions, Jasmine handled everything professionally and remained attentive and courteous throughout my meal. She certainly deserves credit for doing an excellent job under very demanding circumstances. There was, however, another issue that should not be overlooked: the menu itself had food particles on it. Menus should be clean and presentable, particularly in a restaurant where guests are preparing to dine. Overall, while Jasmine provided professional and attentive service under difficult circumstances, the lukewarm food, melted dessert, and unclean menu detracted considerably from the dining experience. read more

If I remembered I'd been here I never would have returned. (Two stars! Whoa!). But a lot has changed in a decade and the restaurant really shaped up. I mentioned this to the managing partner who checked in on us. Despite a packed house on Mothers Day, the restaurant was well staffed and ran pleasantly and efficiently. (We had the best server who said, "you're my favorite customers all night!" And I think she meant it.) Dinner was what I've come to expect from Carrabba's: really good! Per usual I ordered chicken Marsala with extra mushrooms, and angel hair pasta with garlic and olive oil. Wine has gone up a bit in price, but cab still comes in at less than $40 a bottle. I don't usually feel the need to write reviews for chain restaurants, but after a recent visit to Carrabba's Italian Grill in Fredericksburg, I felt compelled to share our experience, especially because of the outstanding service we received from CJ on Saturday evening. Despite a busy Saturday evening, CJ stood out with friendly, attentive service. He greeted us promptly, explained the Happy Hour options, and made sure we got our drink orders in on time. He went above and beyond throughout our entire visit, and it made a difference. (I'll flag that the waitress who also stopped by our table in the same section was very kind, attentive, and helpful as well). The hostess who took our name was also great, even though she seemed a bit stressed, she clearly communicated our wait time and set expectations well. (I didn't get her name). The food was solid, as always. While Carrabba's isn't the most authentic or best Italian in the area, it's consistent and satisfying, with a good selection of appetizers and drinks. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Additionally, the ambiance is relaxed, not overly romantic, but comfortable enough for a casual date night or family dinner.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Overall: Carrabba's might not be on everyone's list, but based on our experiences, and the level of service we've consistently received, I'd say it's absolutely worth a visit. My husband and I haven't dined at a Carrabba's for about 20 years but it was close to our hotel so we stopped in. So glad we did. The staff was friendly and courteous. The decor was warm and sophisticated and definitely Italian. Kaitlynn, our waitress, was smiling and bubbly, just a friendly person who makes you smile. She took good care of us without interrupting our meal. First a delicious warm bread with olive oil dipping sauce was brought out and we devoured it. We were very happy with the Caesar salad and Pollo Rosa with mashed potatoes. All three were well seasoned and delicious. We shared the meal and had plenty to satisfy us both. Carrabba's is truly stepping up its game! Mackenzie was our server, and her service was absolutely impeccable; she was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. We kicked things off with the Merry Berry Martini and the Wood-Fired Old Fashioned. The martini was bursting with flavor and honestly deserves a permanent spot on the menu; it's a martini masterpiece. We had the Lentil and Sausage soup, and it was deliciously hearty. For our meals, we ordered the Fettuccine Weesie with gluten-free pasta and the Meezaluna, and both dishes were outstanding. The sauces were rich, perfectly balanced, and completely irresistible. We got dinner at Carrabba's here in Fredericksburg; pasta is my hubby's favorite dish! And we were celebrating his birthday! We used to frequently dine at the Carrabba's in Fairfax, when we lived in Northern Virginia, but this was our first time at this location. Naturally we rarely eat pasta anymore, with it only (normally) being on special occasions. My husband ordered the Spaghetti Carbonara with no shrimp, but double chicken. He got the sausage lentil soup with his entree. I ordered the Pollo Rosa Maria, which is wood grilled chicken, stuffed with fontina cheese and prosciutto, topped with mushrooms, and a lemon basil butter sauce with a side of fettuccine Alfredo. I also got a garden salad with balsamic vinaigrette. For dessert we ordered a pumpkin spice bread pudding to split. It was pumpkin custard-soaked brioche bread, topped with vanilla ice cream, and drizzled with salted caramel sauce. Everything was amazing! The bread was hot, the soup was hot, the vegetables in the salad were fresh. My Pollo Rosa Maria was heavenly. Restaurant was clean. And our service from Mackenzie was terrific! We have so much leftover! We got a second Pollo Rosa Maria to go for just $10! So dinner here tomorrow; possibly enough for the next day too! Next time we won't wait so long to go back. read more

Eat here at least once a week!!! Very good !!!! When they have specials with five course meals with wine. The food was wonderful But I'm not a wine drinker of more than one glass and they have included a different wine for each course so that part wasted. Food outstanding usually for the Special it runs around $60 but remember you get four or five courses from appetizer down to dessert and good portions and wine with each different section which was very good but like I said, I don't drink more than the first one so if you have somebody with you that likes wine and they can drink yours, that's good. I told the waitress she could take it home. I didn't touch it put it in the side and she could drink it when she gets off just joking, but you know it is a waste so therefore I didn't get that part of it but it does come with the mail when the person host that special Knight very good explains about the wines and the food is really a very entertaining evening with perfect food so never hesitate to join up when they have those evenings [[HIGHLIGHT]]Ambience was wonderful lovely restaurant when you come in for those special evenings all the tables are all set up with the glasses of wine, seasonal decorations, waitress, and waiter.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Staff excellent host very good too can't get better than that. read more

14 of us went to Carrabba's for the feast of the seven fishes. It was a fixed price meal and every course was paired with wine for $60. That is just an unbelievable price and very good value for money. It was a Wednesday evening and the place was packed. It was a little bit concerning but we were seated right away, and the waitstaff was phenomenal. They were Johnny on the spot in every way. As we finished a glass of wine, the glass was removed from the table as were dishes. Every one of the waitstaff had a bright smile on their face and were truly happy, which made for a very enjoyable experience. We liked most of the courses and most of the wine pairings. The only disappointing meals were the lobster ravioli, which tasted doughy and the linguine, which was relatively flavorless. The last wine that went with the strawberry cheesecake was not very pleasant. All in all, I still give this meal a five star review and I highly recommend these wine dinners. It has been a while since I've visited Carrabba's. After yesterday, I'm going back more often. The food was really good. We enjoyed the calamari, stuffed mushrooms, mozzarella sticks, ravioli and rigatoni. Each dish came out hot and fresh. Oh and the bread was so soft and delicious. My only complaint is about our waitress. She didn't check on us and we felt rushed. The restaurant was not busy, so don't know why she was not attentive. Now, the manager provided exceptional service. She was bringing out the food to all of the tables and she had time to check on guest. Kiddos to her! The restaurant was clean. However, the restroom was not. Only one toilet was operational. I plan to visit again and hopefully the toilets are fixed and waitresses are trained on how to serve customers with a smile and how to provide great service. read more

This place has been one of my favorite places in Fredericksburg so when I spend $8.49 on fettuccine Alfredo and get enough to fill a Dixie cup I'm shocked. I wish that I'd have gotten a picture of the rest of our food. The meatballs and ricotta consisted of two tiny meatballs. The Mezzulana was $23. and it wasn't enough to feed a toddler like five pieces of pasta. The "Chocolate Dream" cake was 1/4 the normal sized piece. I just don't get it.
