Service was amazing, server was running her tail off. Now…read morethe food was pretty bad ! Chicken must have been par cooked as it wasn't hot it was dry, green beans were limp and tasteless, mashed potatoes had a crust from sitting out too long Beer was good though, Spouse with the crab cake special , unimpressed had to ask for tartare sauce and was given a weird look, also had to ask for the coleslaw that was part of the meal. Since it was a coupon for birthday wasn't a total loss Tipped at the full rate. $58.00 marked down to $28.69 plus a 20% tip Took the leftovers home and the chicken, beans and potatoes went in the trash

We chose to visit the National Cemetery next door to pay respects to my father whose ashes are interred there. For brunch we chose Snitz Creek and were both surprised that it was a brewery open for breakfast on a Sunday. The Annville location was busy but not chaotic. The interior was clean and stocked full of merch as well as ample supplies of their crafted beverages. We were seated and served immediately by friendly staff. Young Krugaar and I sat together and I shared stories of his grandfather's adventures in the Blavatskian Art of Spiritualism, particularly his efforts to conjure the spirit of Georges Fauntli (the 18th century wizard responsible for preventing the Great Cataclysm of 1749 and rescuing Pope Clement XIII from Malebolgian insurrectionists.) Father was successful in extricating the sacred word from Fauntli confirming their connection across the void. Krugaar was also shocked to learn of father's role in recovering the sacred Ark from the German Army in Somalia in 1943 and its restoration to its secret location. Krugaar shared his success in taming the energies of the recent solar surge to enchant his mighty battle axe which he has dubbed 'Gorm Gudbruund'. Its power is only felt by supernatural creatures so he has yet to test his new weapon in combat against the dark forces. The Snitz Creek Special omelet was my order, in honor of father who would celebrate Father's Day with a plate of chipped beef on toast and scrambled eggs. My mother would pile the plate high to his delight. By comparison, this fat, delicious omelet represented something father would have adored - packed with potatoes, cheese, and crispy chipped beef and so flavorful. The Texas toast came covered in melted butter with just the perfect browning. I look forward to trying their special recipe for Creamed Chipped Beef next time. The turnaround in the kitchen was impressive based on the quality and quantity produced. Krugaar indulged in the meat lover omelet which he said was not greasy for something with so much ham, sausage, and bacon. He enjoyed it. He did not smash his coffee mug to the floor in praise, however, showing he has acclimated to this normative culture. The beer choices were intriguing and I was delighted to see the affordable growler options for their tapped selection. I took something home based entirely on the name - "The Smelly Smell That Smells Smelly" which boldly boasted anchovies as part of its ingredients. I gifted this to our lab technician, Ivor.

The waitress did a great job kept our drinks full and checked in on us at appropriate times. My wife had the California cheeseburger with fries. She said everything was good and prepared the way she wanted. Now for my meal. I ordered the black diamond steak with baked sweet potato and coleslaw. The coleslaw was the only thing that was good. The steak was a very small portion and extremely chewy. The baked sweet potato was cold I couldn't even get the butter to melt on it. The potato was only a small piece of a potato. I would guess about 1/3 of the whole potato. I have never ordered a baked sweet potato and only received a portion of the potato. I have always got a whole sweet potato. I will probably give Esther's one more try because my wife's food was very good.

While the ranch isn't homemade and my daughter's sweet tea was disappointing the food was really good! I got the loaded chicken salad melt and fries and my daughter the jalapeño chicken melt with fries also. The portion looked small but we both left overfull. The chicken salad was really good and the bread used for the melts was wonderful. Definitely a place to take the family especially older relatives who love a good meal. The restaurant is a throw back to restaurants I frequented as a child -clean and sweet with an old timey feel. The ABSOLUTE BEST was the cost. It was sooo affordable 24.38 was the total and we again were completely full and satisfied.
