Just tried to order a chocolate shake at the drive through and the lady tried to sell me cookies instead of the shake telling me it would cost more to buy the shake. Why would I want to buy cookies when I'm trying to buy a shake and what point was there in telling me the shake is more expensive than the cookies? It seems almost quaint now but back in the day the argument over which of the two burger giants made the best tasting patty seemed relevant and compelling. I'm a char-broil guy so my thumb always went up for Burger King. Sure, McDonald's had the tastiest fries and the best marketing hypnosis with Ronald, Mayor McCheese and the Hamburgler putting you in a morbid obesity trance hundreds of times a day courtesy of your boob tube but... in my lizard brain... Burger King just tasted better. Today I have learned to put away childish things and very rarely respond to the siren song of fast food but nearby, there exists a u-turn on US1 that has both franchises literally side-by-side and the differences could not be more stark or revealing. Although the menu hasn't improved much with Ronald now enjoying semi-retirement in Boca, McDonald's still gleams with a brightness and cleanliness that all but taunts you to come in and forget everything you have ever learned about health and nutrition. On the other side of the road sits Burger King, dark and defeated smelling of ammonia, grease and Whoppers past. Burger King is but a shell of itself and every shortcoming is on vivid display at this single location. Haven't been to Burger King for a while so on Apr 28, at 145 we pulled in here. We told the dive in employee to hold on. She persisted then told us to go inside. Said she'd only give us one minute. We looked behind and no line and 2 cars in the lot so what's her hurry? Asked if the fiery chicken was breaded and she "no breaded". I got it. It was breaded. And not fiery by a long shot. This restaurant is a severe disappointment to the Burger King name and I hope that someone either tries to fix them or shuts them down. How can 'a restaurant' serve cold and burnt food to good paying customers? I uploaded a picture of the burnt and disgusting sausage egg and cheese breakfast sandwich I received. The sweet tea tasted like flat coca cola and the hash browns were nearly done. The other breakfast sandwich we purchased was ice cold but thank goodness the simply orange orange juice was ingestible. When I came in to confront the issues I was accused of swapping the orders to get more food, I literally do not want what they gave me it's a nasty mayoed up chicken sandwich and I wanted the burger i paid for. there was a nice girl they had sweeping who understood the issue and really should be the manager instead cause she can at least keep the calm in the restraint better than the current. Service is slow, this fad food is over priced and Burger King food in general is mid.

The fries were mushy and translucent. Tasted like someone dropped floor cleaner in the deep frier. I ate one and dumped the rest. Still got sick. Health dept should shut this BK down. read more

DO NOT GO TO THIS BURGER KING. I have gotten food poisoning from this place THREE TIMES. They put rotting, old nasty ingredients on their food. In the first instance I felt something slimy in my wrap so I opened it to find BLACK lettuce that was clearly rotting. I complained to them and they did not offer me a refund or even apologize. They said I can come back and get a replacement. WHY would I want more of their food when their food made me sick! I have stopped at this Burger King a number of times because it is on Rt. 1. Usually they get my order right but I am very put off tonight because 1. My drive-through order was short by one item, and 2. they literally would not allow me to use the bathroom! There are not many choices on route one for bathrooms, so I found this to be more than inconvenient. While the young lady was very nice, the manager actually turned me away callously. Shocked! - We were on our way back home from Dad's (South Jersey) - Ended up on the "Dreaded" - Route 1; Starving - We pulled into this location - Only to be told "No Burgers" - They had posted some "Makeshift" Sign on the Drive Thru - Order Area; I thought it was a joke; that this couldn't be true. I stop by here on my way to get groceries just about every Sunday, and service is always pretty fast. The food is about the same as at any other Burger King but the fries are very crispy and portions pretty generous They are also great about taking my free value size fries coupons and actually giving me a decent amount, which is greatly appreciated. This by far is the worst Burger King anyone could go to. It's sad because my family loves Burger King and we live less than 1 mile away. At least 50% of the time they get our order wrong. We learned not to pull away until we make sure all of the items we purchased were in the bag. My family asked me to go today because it is national cheeseburger day. I hesitated but decided to go anyway. I checked the order before I pulled away from the window and the items that I purchased were all there. I get home with the food my family starts to eat and sure enough there was a problem with the food. We got the whoppers that we wanted, but they were slathered in barbecue sauce not ketchup. Whoppers don't have barbecue sauce on them. We were unable to eat the food. I tried to call the store no answer as usual. Wow, what a big disappointment my brother and I experienced when we went to Burger King on April 30th 2017. In terms of the service, the staff messed up our order through the drive-through by forgetting a meal that we ordered thus only giving us half of what we ordered. In terms of the meal, the Whopper was exceptional as always; Burger King would be dead without it. The fries were not so pleasant being big and unattractive compared to other fast food joints. With them not being so tasty I continued onto the 10 pc. nuggets which were not any better. They held little flavor and not the mention the sweet and sour sauce I requested with them did not help to make me satisfied. Overall I would rate these guys on Route 1 a 2/5 with poor service and a not so satisfying meal. read more
