I didn't care for the buffalo chicken slice - it was way to saucy. But the bacon and ranch was REALLY good. I liked that this spot has a variety of single slice topping options cause I like to try them and a lot if places only do them by the pie. The service was friendly and the spot was family friendly . We just ordered delivery. We are in town for the night and didn't feel like trying to find a place to eat. They delivered to our hotel. Oh gosh that pizza was so good! Pizza tastes decent but the jalapeños tasted very off and not on part with the rest of the toppings. Staff was very friendly and service was swift and efficient. The restaurant looked clean and nice and had good lining decorations such as neon lights which upgraded the overall aesthetic of the restaurant. Overall a 4/5 imo read more

Burnt the crust of a pepperoni pizza. I called them. They told me they pretty much agreed that it got overcooked. Instead of just flat out replacing it since he already admitted they screwed up. They did not replace the pizza. Since they don't really have control of what's going on in their ovens, I definitely would not recommend it. If you're looking for tasty pizza, I would steer clear for sure. Professionalism and integrity are key factors to me especially at a place claiming such good food. If you screw up make it right immediately Their pizza is not a $4.99 pizza as it cost way more. You have been warned, be your own judge. read more

They say the pizza gets better the closer you are to NY and now that I live in SoJo there might be some truth in that theory. NJ pizza can take NY pizza any day but that's not for this review. Thin crust , delicious tomato sauce on the mushroom slice. Buffalo chicken slice had the right flavor and ratios of Buffalo sauce and blue cheese however the fried cutlet pieces were too tiny. I found this place online while working in the area. I had 2 margarita slices. I found them to be surprisingly decent. Good flavor but the crust was way to crunchy. It didn't seem like pizza dough but more like Stella Doro breadsticks. That's the best I can describe. That may just be on that style. I would return. read more

Ordered a pizza at Capriccio Pizza on Sunday afternoon. An okay pie, but expect some flaws with the sauce and crust. Quality: Capriccio Pizza is a decent pizza shop in central New Jersey. We ordered a Large Extra Cheese Pizza, and it got the job done. The crust is a bit thick and with the extra cheese it got messy towards the center. The sauce is fine, but could have used a bit more. It is a pizza that everyone will eat without complaint, but not one you need to rush out for. Quantity: A standard size pizza, they did load up the extra cheese as requested. Value: $16 for a Large Pizza. Ambiance: Capriccio Pizza is located in a large strip mall in Dayton, New Jersey. It sits at the end of the mall and has a pretty large space. All the way to the right is the ordering area, with pizzas on display as well as the ovens. Then they have a row of more casual tables, for folks looking to eat quick. They have a wall that separates this area from the main dining space, which is still casual, but definitely set-up more as a sit down restaurant. Crowd: I was the only customer early on Sunday. Service: Pizza just out of the oven when I arrived. Parking: Large shared parking lot. read more

I used to go to Capriccio all the time prior to being diagnosed with a gluten allergy. Recently I called back to see if they carry gluten free pizzas and they do. They are delicious! What sets them apart though is that with the pizza, they gave you your own plastic packaged pizza cutter so that your pizza has no cross contamination! Besides this - everyone is always smiling and it feels like a true family owned restaurant read more

Ordered 2 subs from here and they were horrible. First of all the heros were not cut in half but not a problem, i just cut myself but the bread they use is to soft and the sauce just soaks through and end up having to eat with a fork. Then the cheese was barely melted and the sauce is horrible . I definetly miss Italian food in N.Y. read more

Giving a one-star rating because Yelp says I have to. Would have given no stars if allowed. Had a horrible experience doing takeout from this restaurant. Ordered a veal dish and requested no peppers be included. The person on the phone repeated the order back to me correctly. The dish was chock full of peppers and tasted like the veal had been boiled. Spinach that should have been sautéed also tasted boiled. Dish that should have been in a wine sauce was in spinach water instead. Called to complain that the dish was awful and asked for a refund of the one dish. Owner refused. I will not be back. read more

I'm really sad that they had to close down for now due to being short staffed during covid. Pros: huge portion sizes, amazing customer service, great delivery guys, fast order processing, gives complementary huge roll of bread which is delicious, pasta dishes: great selection with huge variety, they have never disappointed me with that, pasta is cooked perfectly as per my liking with amazing sauces with the right balance of flavor. Stromboli: love it! Would highly recommend the buffalo chicken, but you can't go wrong with either. Sandwiches: huge and will not disappoint. Chicken parm side orders: great bank for your buck! Looking to cut carbs, this is the option to go with. Appetizers: great selection and flavorful, highly recommend calamari, wings, and bruschetta Cons: the only thing that I could think of was pizza. Usually I order the works or the meat lovers but everytime I have ordered them and asked them to be well done, they always come out soggy in the middle of the pie. I am astounded when Italian pizzerias and restaurants do this. The good news? The sauce on the pizza was fabulous. The bad news? $16.00 for this mess. And no refill offered on the soda.

Had a house salad with it and it too was good . Crispy lettuce. Good tomatoes and an oil an vinegar! Restrooms were clean and the evening was fun

Update (Feb 2026)…read more Stopped in to Alfonso's after visiting Princeton NJ, for a late lunch/ early Dinner. Decided to get the Stromboli (Med) ($15). A packed pocket of delicious goodness. Pro tip: get the Medium, it will feed you for Days !!! It's huge ! Service has always been great, and today was no exception. The dinning room was quiet, casual and chill.
