I've been here a handful of times and they're always delicious. Small restaurant with a small parking lot right on route 1 next to a Dunkin. The restaurant owns a Turkish supermarket next door. All of the food is delicious. Warm bread and sauces are included (the red sauce is DELICIOUS but super spicy, the white sauce is minty and tart). Get the Mucver!!!! I haven't tried other appetizers but the Mucver stole the show. It's a zucchini vegetable fried pancake. If a latke was made of zucchini. Super flavorful. Not greasy at all. The chicken Adana is my favorite. It's a ground chicken well seasoned with herbs and grilled. My husband had the mixed grill of gyro (beef), lamb, and grilled chicken. Came here for a Saturday lunch. I have only ordered from here on Uber Eats so i was shocked at how big this place is. The staff is soo incredibly nice and sweet. It just a table for 2 but we wanted a little more space so they immediately gave us the table for 4 so we can we comfortable. They brought out their fresh bread and couple dips. I loved the red dip and should have asked what it was. They actually brought us a few rounds of bread. Then we got be chicken bbq pieces and the kebab. Huge portion but i have to say the pieces were soo juicy. I will order that next time. Overall, i will be visiting more often since dining in is such a nice vibe. Also visited the market next door. We decided to give this place a try after seeing some pics on IG. I'm so glad we did. The atmosphere was casual and I loved the decor . Staff were nice and helpful. Everything we ordered was delicious and decent size portions for certain items . We started off with Sheppard salad and cold mixed plate ( had hummus, baba ghanush, egg plant salad and few other items ) My husband had ordered Lahmacun which was delicious they were little flat pizza that were covered with meat and served with salad to put in middle and roll them. Very delicious! I ordered the grilled mixed plate which had gyro, grilled chicken kebab and lamb kebab rice and salad . My daughter ordered the Manti ( Turkish mini dumplings) I will admit this dish fell short in the flavor department but was tasty . My daughter's friend and ordered the gyro platter which was a hearty size portion. We were unfortunately too full to grab dessert but i definitely intend to come back to try some of those other delicious dishes. So I would definitely consider driving out of the way to give this place a try . read more

Tonight and the previous time I've come here, I wasn't impressed, more disappointed. I'm saddened because I really used to love this place. The food hasn't been right lately, and the prices are getting higher.. For the price, I at least expect consistency with the taste. Chicken was missing flavor, beef kabobs had too much seasoning and the gyro meat was dry with a weird after taste .. tasted as if the meat was not fresh .. Regular water tasted terrible, sparkling water was some weird off brand for $7 (I thought it would be at least Pelegrino), and the only highlight of it all was a small piece of Tres Leche, which later I found out after ordering 2 of them was $22! ! ! Sadly, this will be my last visit. Staff is always welcoming and friendly and the environment is solid which is why I give 2 stars. The food is always priority, sorry. read more

A little Mediterranean paradise in a New Jersey strip mall. Food was great. Grilled octopus and cold appetizer platter were must order items. The yogurt entree (so embarrassed we got hungry and ate before the camera) was good but I would try out the main entrees if I were to come again. "That was really delicious, guys" repeated multiple times throughout dinner and after. Desserts were decent and beautifully presented but nothing to write home about. First off, there's this magical dish that looks like a pizza but has eggs, cheese, and herbs on pillowy dough sent straight from the carb gods. Honestly, it may have just ruined regular pizza for us.it was deliciously finger-licking! The gyro platter? Solid. Respectable. The fries stole the show on this platter. Crispy little golden treasures. And that "egg pizza thing"? We're still dreaming about it. I ordered the Cheese Rolls & Feta Cheese appetizers and there was complimentary pita bread with absolutely delectable dipping sauces -- a spicy & savory sauce & then a light sauce to cool it off. I devoured both. I washed it all down with a Sour Cherry soda which had a light, crisp, sparkling, refreshing flavor. Last but certainly not least, I ordered the baklava to go which was deliciously sweet, sticky & scrumptious -- just the way I like it! Truly authentic Mediterranean cuisine. The staff was nice and cordial! The restaurant was clean and inviting! Started with Grape leaves! They are served cold here and were good! I sampled the hummus and it was good enough to order! Fresh and prepared well! I ventured out and had the manti! We think they put too much yogurt on it as my guest who frequent there often stated it was a lot! The mixed pickles were good as well!! My only challenge would be the prices of the items. Some were very over priced and I hope they reconsider! $10 for the mixed pickles? Cmon! They were good but the quantity was not $10 good! I will certainly go back! Great customer service and excellent food, been going to them for years and it's our favorite place

I'd been to Kapadokya a few times years ago when I live in NJ and the place was a shack on route 1. But I don't live near there anymore and thought the place had closed My son was organizing a little get together and I was shocked when he said Kapadokya. He said the shack was gone and they moved to a real restaurant a little south but still on route 1. I was shocked. First by how nice the new location is and then how good the expanded menu is. I had the lamb adana kebab. An ample portion, with the meat juicy an just a hint of spice. Delicious! My son had the lamb shish kebab, which he enjoyed very much. I don't recall the name of my wife's dish (pictured below) but she said it was really good. The rest of the group we were with all enjoyed their food as well. We were all stuffed at the end but our server recommended a Kunefe for dessert. It's a crispy "pie" stuffed with a sweet cheese. So glad he recommended it. So good. Note: they also have a Mediterranean/Turkish market next door. Make sure you go in there too after you've eaten. read more

Came to pick up a small falafel plate (with fries and feta cheese) for dinner recently. It was supposed to take 20 minutes, but it was ready in less than 15 minutes, which was a good sign. Unfortunately, traffic along Route 1 is awful and I ended up arriving around the original time. Parking is there, but not being there in the nighttime made me forget that additional parking exists on the side. Therefore, I ended up sandwiching my car between a tight space not realizing there's more space. Just one thing to keep in mind. I received 4 falafel balls, which was more than plenty for me. The tahini was plentiful and the pepper dip had enough of a pizzazz to add to the flavor. There was plenty of feta cheese (on the side above the salad), which I was generally able to mix in easily. There is some kick at the bottom with the pepper, so be mindful of that and mix the feta and tahini in there wisely. The fries itself weren't as memorable, but I thought I'd say the same with the rice, so I opted for the former. I was surprised to receive a pita as I had anticipated to warm up some pita bread at home. It wasn't necessarily warm, but it was soft and fresh. For $18 (additional $3 for the feta), it's pricey, but at least the food is quite good. I've always been curious for a proper vegetarian option here and I think the falafel does it for me. read more

This is our favorite Mediterranean restaurant in the area. We've been here a couple of times, and the food has always been delicious. If you're planning a dinner for two, I highly recommend ordering the Mixed Grill Plate along with one of their appetizers. The portions are very generous, making it perfect for sharing. We've also tried the Mixed Cold Appetizers Plate, and every appetizer was flavorful and paired wonderfully with the grilled meats. They also offer a selection of desserts, which you can enjoy at the restaurant or take to go. If you're craving tasty baklava and Turkish tea, this place is a must-visit. read more

I'm from Greece and have been to Turkey many times, had food there and one thing I have to tell you is this place IS authentic!!! Turkish natives operate it, the plates are even imported from there. I had the lamb kebab and my partner had chicken gyro, that was from the spit!!! Delicious, aromatic it was incredible. I can't wait to come back. The restaurant is simple but elegant, with the brick walls being adorned with elaborate artwork. A shelf on the leftmost wall has "cubbies" filled with cultural items and beautiful sconces line the brick wall in the dining area as well. Above the restaurant hangs an absolutely gorgeous chandelier too. We ordered the following: Small mixed cold appetizers- this was a mix of all the cold appetizers on the menu. We liked it a lot and thought it was a nice touch because we got to try everything on the menu for that section. Mixed grill - this was a combination of lamb shish kebab, gyro and grilled chicken. It also came with a side of rice. This was delicious as well. IM usually not a fan of lamb but this was delicious and not gamey. Gyro was nice and the chicken was surprisingly soft even though it was white meat. Usually, I'm disappointed with the chicken because white meat is usually tough but this place knew how to keep their chicken soft and juicy! Lastly, we had the grilled octopus and this blew us away! It was herby and delicious ! This was surprising soft as well. We were bummed that there wasn't more when we were done. Daughter and I also ordered unsweetened iced tea leaf. I was a little disappointed at being given a bottle of Pure Leaf unsweetened iced tea. I was hoping that it was freshly made but it didn't damper my mood. Everything was delicious and freshly made. Really great food! Genuinely loved the taste and quality of everything. I got the chicken breast over rice and it was juice and tasteful. The rice was excellent. My friend got the falafel and it was crispy on the outside, tender in the inside. Hard to do with falafel! Service was also very good and it was quick. We were started with the pita slices with tzatziki sauce and some kind of pepper sauce; pepper was just a bit spicy, which was nice. The falafel had a good crunchy outside but seemed a little too dense and maybe undercooked inside. My son's small chicken gyro platter could've used more flavor but chicken was soft. I had a small chicken over shepherds salad. The chicken was soft, warm and lemony but the salad part could've used more salt or some dressing. Desserts we're good, we shared the coconut pudding which had a too mild coconut flavor but kids liked the milky taste. The creme brûlée was good too. Service could've been quicker but everyone was really friendly. I though it was pricey but you are getting fresh food. Even though we probably wouldn't get the same items again, I'd consider coming back to try new things.
