I've been here a handful of times and they're always delicious. Small restaurant with a small parking lot right on route 1 next to a Dunkin. The restaurant owns a Turkish supermarket next door. All of the food is delicious. Warm bread and sauces are included (the red sauce is DELICIOUS but super spicy, the white sauce is minty and tart). Get the Mucver!!!! I haven't tried other appetizers but the Mucver stole the show. It's a zucchini vegetable fried pancake. If a latke was made of zucchini. Super flavorful. Not greasy at all. The chicken Adana is my favorite. It's a ground chicken well seasoned with herbs and grilled. My husband had the mixed grill of gyro (beef), lamb, and grilled chicken. The grilled chicken was delicious. Both are served with a salad and rice. Very good service.

We decided to give this place a try after seeing some pics on IG. I'm so glad we did. The atmosphere was casual and I loved the decor . Staff were nice and helpful. Everything we ordered was delicious and decent size portions for certain items . We started off with Sheppard salad and cold mixed plate ( had hummus, baba ghanush, egg plant salad and few other items ) My husband had ordered Lahmacun which was delicious they were little flat pizza that were covered with meat and served with salad to put in middle and roll them. Very delicious! I ordered the grilled mixed plate which had gyro, grilled chicken kebab and lamb kebab rice and salad . My daughter ordered the Manti ( Turkish mini dumplings) I will admit this dish fell short in the flavor department but was tasty . My daughter's friend and ordered the gyro platter which was a hearty size portion. We were unfortunately too full to grab dessert but i definitely intend to come back to try some of those other delicious dishes. So I would definitely consider driving out of the way to give this place a try .

Tonight and the previous time I've come here, I wasn't impressed, more disappointed. I'm saddened because I really used to love this place. The food hasn't been right lately, and the prices are getting higher.. For the price, I at least expect consistency with the taste. Chicken was missing flavor, beef kabobs had too much seasoning and the gyro meat was dry with a weird after taste .. tasted as if the meat was not fresh .. Regular water tasted terrible, sparkling water was some weird off brand for $7 (I thought it would be at least Pelegrino), and the only highlight of it all was a small piece of Tres Leche, which later I found out after ordering 2 of them was $22! ! ! Sadly, this will be my last visit. Staff is always welcoming and friendly and the environment is solid which is why I give 2 stars. The food is always priority, sorry.

A Mediterranean Gem with Turkish Delight Vibes - Kapadokya, You Have My Heart! Tucked away just off Route 1, Kapadokya is the kind of place you almost drive past--until you realize you've stumbled upon a total hidden gem. Once a rough-around-the-edges little joint, this charming Mediterranean restaurant has totally glowed up and now calls a stylish strip mall home. And let me tell you--the interiors are giving rustic-meets-modern cozy dream. Think warm lighting, charming touches, and an ambiance that whispers, "stay a while and eat everything." Though the restaurant itself is on the smaller side (cozy, not cramped!), it's cleverly connected to its own little market and bakery next door, so you can shop for goodies after stuffing your face--my kind of multitasking. Now let's talk about the real star: the food. My friend and I were seated right away--shoutout to the sweet host for the warm welcome. Moments after settling in, we were handed menus and a beautiful glass bottle of sparkling water (fancy much?), plus the cutest little bread and dip situation. The Turkish bread? Thinly sliced, soft as clouds, and so good I genuinely considered smuggling some home in my purse. It came with two dips: a creamy, tangy yogurt-based sauce (kinda like raita's cooler cousin) and a mysterious yet delicious chutney-type condiment that I couldn't quite place--but adored. We kicked things off with an appetizer of stuffed grape leaves filled with herby, minty rice--little pockets of joy, honestly. And then came the showstopper: veggie pide! Think of it as Turkey's take on pizza--shaped like a boat, loaded with colorful veggies, and topped with a rich, melty Turkish cheese that had me doing a little happy dance in my seat. It was crispy, savory, cheesy, and utterly addicting. And no proper Turkish meal would be complete without a steaming cup of traditional Turkish tea--it was strong, warm, and the perfect way to wrap up our flavorful feast. Final verdict? I'm obsessed. Kapadokya isn't just a restaurant--it's an experience. I'm already plotting my return for a cute little date night, and next time I'm diving deeper into the menu (hello, baklava and kebabs, I'm coming for you). Run, don't walk, and prepare to fall in love--one bite of pide at a time.

A little Mediterranean paradise in a New Jersey strip mall. Food was great. Grilled octopus and cold appetizer platter were must order items. The yogurt entree (so embarrassed we got hungry and ate before the camera) was good but I would try out the main entrees if I were to come again. "That was really delicious, guys" repeated multiple times throughout dinner and after. Desserts were decent and beautifully presented but nothing to write home about. Staff was friendly and efficient. An authentic restaurant, decorated well and nice seating. Would definitely recommend!

Come for the Gyro, Stay for the "Egg Pizza Thing" We wanted something tasty and out of the ordinary - we got it!! First off, there's this magical dish that looks like a pizza but has eggs, cheese, and herbs on pillowy dough sent straight from the carb gods. Honestly, it may have just ruined regular pizza for us.it was deliciously finger-licking! The gyro platter? Solid. Respectable. The fries stole the show on this platter. Crispy little golden treasures. And that "egg pizza thing"? We're still dreaming about it. We wrapped things up with Turkish coffee -- strong enough to wake your ancestors. 10/10 -would come back just for that mysterious breakfast-meets-lunch masterpiece.

Friendly cute Turkish place. Lahmacun and Pide were excellent, not an easy feat. Rest was all good. Kebabs were fine, not great. For desert, Kunefe and Turkish Tea hit the spot. Will come back.

Absolutely delicious Turkish Mediterranean cuisine! I ordered the Cheese Rolls & Feta Cheese appetizers and there was complimentary pita bread with absolutely delectable dipping sauces -- a spicy & savory sauce & then a light sauce to cool it off. I devoured both. I washed it all down with a Sour Cherry soda which had a light, crisp, sparkling, refreshing flavor. Last but certainly not least, I ordered the baklava to go which was deliciously sweet, sticky & scrumptious -- just the way I like it! I will end my review by complimenting Kapadokya on their absolutely beautiful interior -- stained glass light fixtures and colorful artwork created a stunning ambiance that truly made the meal that much more memorable & enjoyable.

Truly authentic Mediterranean cuisine. The staff was nice and cordial! The restaurant was clean and inviting! Started with Grape leaves! They are served cold here and were good! I sampled the hummus and it was good enough to order! Fresh and prepared well! I ventured out and had the manti! We think they put too much yogurt on it as my guest who frequent there often stated it was a lot! The mixed pickles were good as well!! My only challenge would be the prices of the items. Some were very over priced and I hope they reconsider! $10 for the mixed pickles? Cmon! They were good but the quantity was not $10 good! I will certainly go back! Quality food and the service was good! Enjoy!

PROs - ambience , food (meat) , location , parking , service CONs- pricey , veggie food First timer . We were craving Mediterranean food and stopped by this restaurant. I was googling and found this with good reviews . From outside , the restaurant looked OK . But when we went inside , we saw the magnanimity of this restaurant. Ufff . Looked huge . Lots of tables to sit and eat . And to add more space , there was also 2nd floor . Loved the ambience . Service was good . Located right on RT 1 ! Nice location . We ordered food to go and it took them 20-30 mins to prepare . The food was surely PRICEY ! About 20-30$ per head . Felafel was average . It was soggy and tasted average . Shewarmas were good though. Kids also ate and they liked it . It is a slightly high end based on the price . Had a good experience overall except for the price .

I'd been to Kapadokya a few times years ago when I live in NJ and the place was a shack on route 1. But I don't live near there anymore and thought the place had closed My son was organizing a little get together and I was shocked when he said Kapadokya. He said the shack was gone and they moved to a real restaurant a little south but still on route 1. I was shocked. First by how nice the new location is and then how good the expanded menu is. I had the lamb adana kebab. An ample portion, with the meat juicy an just a hint of spice. Delicious! My son had the lamb shish kebab, which he enjoyed very much. I don't recall the name of my wife's dish (pictured below) but she said it was really good. The rest of the group we were with all enjoyed their food as well. We were all stuffed at the end but our server recommended a Kunefe for dessert. It's a crispy "pie" stuffed with a sweet cheese. So glad he recommended it. So good. Note: they also have a Mediterranean/Turkish market next door. Make sure you go in there too after you've eaten.

Entree - a while fish which was deboned and a gyro platter. Both had rice on the side. (sides can be chosen). My friend said her fish was good, she was very hPly it was de-boned. My gyro platter was ok as well. Nothing fancy. I did wish it came with more salad. Dessert - we got some halumi cheese with honey and baklava. Bother we're mediocre. I'm sorry o don't remember his name, but he was very genuine and gracious. Fresh, seasoned well, and exactly as described in the menu. We started with some dips served with fresh pita and the dolmades. I then had the chicken gyro while my partner enjoyed the chicken shawarma platter. We opted for the Greek fries and the Greek potatoes as our sides. Suffice it to say we were eating of each other's plates. The flavors were bright and tasty. The potatoes were really out of this world. I really enjoyed my gyro, but the chicken shawarma seasoning was spectacular! The restaurant itself is also very welcoming with art by local artists on the wall, and for sale.
