Four words sum this place up nicely: AVOID AT ALL COSTS! Why, you might ask? Well, lets start with the restaurant itself. 90% of the time I've been in here, there are flies buzzing all around, and it's a constant fight to keep them off your food (and yourself). The tables and seats are often dirty, and many tabletops have numerous foul messages carved into them by punk patrons--offerings of phone numbers and explicit messages. I've seen the floors dirty, and then I've seen them DIRTY. Everything from spilled drinks to dried up food to a freakin' burger smashed on the ground as if someone thought it'd be fun to stomp on a burger. The overall atmosphere of the restaurant makes you want to go home and take a shower once you leave. The staff are not the best, either. Most don't even greet you when you walk up to the counter, and most of the time, you're standing there for a while before anyone helps you out. Gossip is their game, since the majority of the staff grew up in this town and went to school here (I know because I'm from this town). There used to be one manager here who was fantastic, but I think she transferred to another location. That lady used to see me walk in and she'd great me with a smile before turning to the cooking area and shouting "FRESH FRIES, PLEASE!" She was always a pleasure to talk to. Since she's been gone, the place has just fallen into turmoil. The food. What can I say, really? I like Burger King's food, but when you've waited 15mins for your order only to find out it's dry and barely warm, it just makes you mad. One time, when they were busy, my order "disappeared," and I stood there for 35mins waiting for my food (luckily the girl finally realized this and got the manager to refund my money for the order, so I got free hot & fresh food). I love the fries, but 99% of the time, they're cold and dried-out. It makes you feel like you're eating roadkill. A while back, BK tried to add some new items to its menu to make the menu healthier. I don't know how much of an impact it had, but the only good thing was the Strawberry-Banana Smoothie. Another really strange aspect of this place is the drive-thru. It's the ONLY place I've been to where you pull up to the window to pay and are asked to back up to the previous window, then pull forward again. If not that, you're asked to park around front after you pay. I had a friend who worked here once, and he said the drive-thru customer orders are timed, and if they don't make the time limit, the staff get into trouble, so that's why they have customers cheat on the timer for them. Overall, there is just so much fail at this place. It's a shame because, like I said, I like BK's food, but you just can't get anything decent at this location. I stopped going all the time and just went occasionally, including once recently, and it appears nothing has changed over time (and the prices increased?). I've made my last trip to this place. My advice to you is to avoid this place at all costs. read more

As much as I love BK..this one SUCKS! If our order is right is takes forever to get it. Half the time they ask you not to drive to the second window because they don't want the timer to start. Freakin crazy. Then if you eat inside the soda is always out of something. Why do I keep going here you may ask? I've tried to give them a chance, but it doesn't improve. My food was cold after I sat in the drive thru for 20 minutes and only 1 car ahead of me. There is no dining room service as it's currently closed, so no excuse there. The waving the broom thing at the first window is terribly annoying, just so they don't get in trouble for not meeting the time and wait requirements. I like bk but this location is the worst! Why do they always make you pull forward and back or go park in the front just so their lazy asses can meet their timers??!! It's not my fault your slow. I bought chicken nuggets and the french toast meal for my kids this morning and they did not eat anything! The french toast were badly over fried they were hard as a rock. They looked more like fish sticks. I had to throw out $9 cause they wouldn't eat it and I wasn't going to force them to eat trash! And its always messy like a landfill! I remember this Burger King made me pull out of the drive through to wait in the front, Bout 5 mins or so pass (Had to turn off car) then they gave me COLD FOOD. Waited long enough for them to make fresh food only to get old junk. read more

Zero stars! Me and my mom went through here today and I ordered 3 Choc milkshakes and a dollar cheeseburger for my dog. We go up to window sit there forever and then lady comes and says go to second window so we do and I paid and she charged me 3.45 for a burger. So I asked her to change it to a dollar one because it was for my dog and she said well we already made it and you paid so that's what you get. Seriuosly? I thought bks motto was have it your way? I was pissed. So I asked to get the one I got and she was a total b****. Gave me 20 cents back so I had to argue to get my correct change then she made me drive around to front. Do not go here! Customer service is horrible. They made my husband wait 20 mins for cold food. This is the second time this has happened to us. I gag even thinking about eating here...I have gotten sick every time I have eaten at this BK location. I unfortunately have to come here once or twice a week since there isn't very many options in the area. The customer service is a joke because there isn't any. I get it, customer service isn't for everyone but when the employee acts like they're the ones who just got handed lunch when they ordered off the breakfast menu then there's a problem. I went to the Newman CA location, there was 1 car ahead of me. From the time I placed my order, to the time I FINALLY got my food at least 15 to 20 minutes had passed. I want to first say, I go quite often to this location and Miguel gives EXCELLENT service - which he did this morning as well. It was some woman at the first window talking to the lady in the car ahead of me - FOR A GOOD 10 MINUTES. It was obvious they knew each other as she gave fistfuls of butter to the lady in the car and they laughed and had a wonderful conversation. As I finally drove up to the 1st window, the female BK worker WALKED AWAY, not to be seen again. I then sat at a window NO ONE came to or looked at as they passed by, for another 5 mins when I finally drove up to the 2nd window where Miguel was taking orders. I'm pretty sure the female BK worker that carried on the personal convo and then IGNORED me was a manager - which says A LOT about how that place is run in my opinion, as she left poor Miguel to continually apologize to me and NEVER even looked toward the window. I feel horrible for the kids/people that work there, as they obviously don't have a management team that has their backs! Wow. This place never seems to surprise me. They can never get their drive thru orders right. I called them and they asked me to come back so i did. What a mistake on my part again to trust them to get my order right the second time through. I get home and they didnt get right again. Tried calling again and this time no answer. Wow what poor customer service. Training for accountability not only should be on employees but on their supervision. The absolute worst establishment I have ever seen in my life CONSISTENTLY!!!! How can you be out of syrup 1st thing when you open in the morning? How can you run out of breakfast sausage in the morning? How do you run out of pickles? How do you run out of all frozen drinks on one of the hottest days of the year? WHO IS IN CHARGE OF SUPPLIES HERE? Not to mention, can they ever just give you what you ask for or do they have to get your order wrong every time? All this said, probably the most annoying thing is when they make you pull forward and then make you back up to reset their time sensor! I mean, really??? I guess it's not as bad though as when they don't tell you what window to go to so you go to the first one, no one is there and then you go to the second one and they tell you to back up to the first one to pay!
