Got home too late to cook a meal and saw that this place delivered. I ordered the BLT, Jimmy chips-bbq. Second sandwich was a plain turkey. I usually really enjoy Jimmy John's. The Turlock location unfortunately disappoints. The sandwich roll that is supposed to be baked fresh daily was super hard and tasted like their day old bread. I know the difference because I have purchased the day old bread. Additionally, they seemed under staffed, hurrying to make orders for delivery or call in orders. I have been craving a sandwich since we were just in San Francisco and driving past all the delicatessen shops. Tonight I got my chance. The wife went in while I waited to n the car. There were no patrons so the sandwich were made fast. This is where it all fell apart. We got the sandwiches home. I opened up my sandwich to see a lack of lettuce. Just take a look at the picture for a better explanation. My pathetic sandwich is on the left. By merely Looking at the sandwich makes a person want to cry. Trust me I am a meat person but I like some lettuce. I took my first bite. Lacked flavor. This is not normal for Jimmy John's. I took my second, third and fourth sandwich and still there was a lack of flavor. I don't know what is the deal since I ordered #9 which is usually full of flavor. Each bite I took tasted like I was eating watered down lettuce and not a meat and cheese type sandwich. Matter of fact My sandwich was dripping. Dripping a bit much. It could have been the vinaigrette but I have never had my vinaigrette drip so much from my previous sandwiches. This really sucked. My wife said her sandwich tasted fine but she ordered something totally different than me. Tonight's sandwich will be given a two star rating. Normally I like me some Jimmy John's but tonight's sandwich really sucked. I would have given tonight sandwich a 1 1/2 stars but we can't give that rating. Enter Jimmy John's. My husband and I decided to give it a try as we are often eager to support new businesses. We came for lunch soon after they opened this location. It was packed as new businesses often are, but we wanted to try it anyway. We stood in line, placed our order, and no sooner had we paid and served ourselves beverages when our sandwiches were ready. Apparently quick service is what Jimmy John's is known for and they certainly delivered! Our sandwiches were very tasty and tasted extremely fresh. If your customer is upset you listen not be a right fighter. Number 3. If your in the wrong ADMIT IT! Number 5. Customer is always right, they pay your rent and keep your business open. For every 1 you loose they tell 5 and you just lost 6 customers. Moral of the story just because you order your employees around and they have to take it, and your on a power trip so you think your never wrong, you don't portray that onto your customer or business. I am seriously surprised by some of these reviews-- we have NEVER had any issues with Jimmy John's. In fact, we've only ever had wonderful experiences with them. Another Sterling favorite~ it's basically a crap ton of meat and cheese and veggies on a french roll, but it's a delicious crap ton of meat and cheese and veggies. Sterling thumbs up approved. TL;DR: Delivery is awesome, Online Ordering is easy, Food is fresh and doesn't taste processed/chemically like other sub places. Try their wheat bread, it's tasty(but the french rolls is great too). I decided to give this place a try tonight. We were greeted as soon as we walked in the door, and asked if we had any questions about the menu, which was nice. Our sandwiches were made quickly and correctly. The French bread was good, tasted very fresh, overall it was a decent sandwich. For me the place falls somewhere between Subway and Deli Delicious. The plain french bread, mayo, and mound of lettuce paired together beautifully. The occasional taste of my two slices of turkey (yes, two whole slices on the whole sandwich) were a nice compliment to said bread and lettuce. They must have the world's sharpest deli slicer, because the cheese I paid $1 extra for was so thin you couldn't even see it!
