We were just enjoying some dad-and-son time and grabbing a sandwich. The sandwich was great, but what really stood out was the customer service. The bigger gentleman with glasses and the red-brimmed hat was incredibly friendly. My sandwich was accidentally made without the sliced cucumbers, and he immediately took care of it, no hesitation, just great service. But what impressed me most happened afterward. I watched him hand an older gentleman his sandwich and simply say, "We appreciate you." Those three words really caught my attention. You don't hear that kind of genuine appreciation enough anymore. Got home too late to cook a meal and saw that this place delivered. I ordered the BLT, Jimmy chips-bbq. Second sandwich was a plain turkey. The bread was cold like it just came out of the refrigerator. Flavor was ok. The bacon was like the precooked, thin sliced, you throw in the microwave. The best thing about this order was the chips. I usually really enjoy Jimmy John's. The Turlock location unfortunately disappoints. The sandwich roll that is supposed to be baked fresh daily was super hard and tasted like their day old bread. I know the difference because I have purchased the day old bread. Additionally, they seemed under staffed, hurrying to make orders for delivery or call in orders. Enter Jimmy John's. My husband and I decided to give it a try as we are often eager to support new businesses. We came for lunch soon after they opened this location. It was packed as new businesses often are, but we wanted to try it anyway. We stood in line, placed our order, and no sooner had we paid and served ourselves beverages when our sandwiches were ready. Apparently quick service is what Jimmy John's is known for and they certainly delivered! Our sandwiches were very tasty and tasted extremely fresh. For every 1 you loose they tell 5 and you just lost 6 customers. I am seriously surprised by some of these reviews-- we have NEVER had any issues with Jimmy John's. In fact, we've only ever had wonderful experiences with them. That being said, we've only ever done delivery, so I can't say anything about the in store experience~ And Ooooh how I love their delivery. It's so fast, and their delivery people are friendly. Just do it. Go do it. Jimmy John's TASTES fresh, and their meat does NOT taste processed, which is a huge plus in my book. Our sandwiches were made quickly and correctly. The French bread was good, tasted very fresh, overall it was a decent sandwich. For me the place falls somewhere between Subway and Deli Delicious. The plain french bread, mayo, and mound of lettuce paired together beautifully. The occasional taste of my two slices of turkey (yes, two whole slices on the whole sandwich) were a nice compliment to said bread and lettuce. They must have the world's sharpest deli slicer, because the cheese I paid $1 extra for was so thin you couldn't even see it!
