Two ladies at the entrance were seriously enforcing this -- checking for visible bottles and turning them away -- while purses and backpacks went completely unsearched. So the "rule" only caught parents who weren't hiding anything. Once inside, there wasn't even an alternative: no cups suitable for kids anywhere. Think about what that actually means -- infants and toddlers going without water or milk in July heat, at an outdoor festival, because of a rule meant to stop outside soda or alcohol so Charlie Clarks's can make more money. That's not a minor inconvenience, that's a real safety risk. This policy needed about five seconds more thought before it was implemented. Fix this before another Charlie Clark event!
