Mr Zeke's is a neighborhood bar with a fairly large and varied food menu. It was pretty busy on the Tuesday we visited Service was good. The manager was training our server and she had a handheld device which placed our order with the kitchen and was used for paying the bill. We both ordered the pulled pork on a bake potato (that night's special) and a salad. The salad was mostly shredded iceberg lettuce with croutons. My blue cheese dressing was better than most I've tasted at this type of restaurant. The potato was huge and was cooked well. The topping, which consisted of bbq sauce, lots of this sliced fried onions and very little pulled pork was pretty good. Both my wife and were disappointed by how little pulled pork there was. It seemed like the fried onions were used to "bulk up" the amount of topping. We'd come back, but we would not order a special dish. read more

I really appreciated the effort to exclude the hard ribs in the romaine lettuce. I know this can seem like a small thing, but for me it was an indication of the care they take with the food. There were TVs tuned to the World Cup games. There was indoor and outdoor seating. read more

Everything was great! My daughter got the chicken Alfredo. My husband got the loaded BBQ pulled pork potato with a side salad. And I got the three seafood tacos. Oh. My. Gosh. I went to Mr Zeke's with a friend on a Friday night. It was about 6 pm and extremely busy. We managed to get a table immediately. Our server came by a few times but we hadn't decided. Finally we ordered. I had the Friday fish fry and my friend the chicken fried steak. It took a little time for the food to come out, but it was busy. Summer in the mountains brings a lot of people up from the valley escaping the heat. Everything was good, fish was not greasy and very tasty. My friend's chicken fried steak and mashed potatoes was good. She took some home. It gets a little loud in there, no acoustics and a small dining room but the food makes you look past the noise. Service is always on point and the staff was very friendly. Prices were reasonable. We just had water to drink, but fish fry, chicken fried steak and a small side salad was $36 before tip. This place did not impress me. Let's talk about the food first. I got the Capresse salad, and not only was its price horrendous, but the mozzarella was thick as a mega marshmallow, the tomato was nearly inedible, and the basil leaf tasted felt like rubber. Glad I ordered some extra chicken, because that was the only filling thing I ate. The service...not good. I was sat down reasonably fine, but that wasn't the problem. The waitress kept ignoring me and bumping into other people sitting down. The drinks I got were split into two groups: A. Super sticky and filled with syrup without much carbonation, or B. Seltzer water with a hint of Diet Pepsi. The waitress, for no reason at all, slammed the silverware onto the napkin, causing a loud noise. Service is a fail. Lastly, the ambiance. The outside was okay, and the door was maintained neatly, but here's where it's bad. As soon as I step in there, I see a dusty floor that they probably haven't cleaned or maintained in a week. There's also a smoke or steam of some sort coming from the tables, don't know why. It's also very dim inside, to the point where you almost need a light or something to clearly read the menu. I will not be coming back, since there are some other really good places in-town, unlike this. The food pictures are really deceiving, too. We were in pinetop-lakeside for a few days so so we decided to give Mr Zeke's a try. We started with the Caprese salad, it had a dab of pesto on each piece which really mad it stand out. I ordered the Rubin, overall it was good but there wasn't enough meat on it and there was some grizzle in the meat, but it was tasty. My wife had the Philly sandwich, the meat was overcooked even though she asked before she ordered it "is it well done". so that wasn't so good. "For heaven's ZEKE :-)" I am pretty sure this would be your line once you dined in at Mr. Zeke's restaurant: The food is great. Service is commendable. The ambiance is artistically designed. We came here for dinner at Mr. Zeke's restaurant in Pinetop. I had the surf and turf tacos. These are 3 tacos served with steak, spicy-sweet slaw and homemade pico. I opted to have a sauteed shrimp on it. The combination of meat and seafood was perfectly balanced. Also, the salmon we ordered was moist and flavorfully cooked. I wanted a refreshing drink. The server suggested Arnold Palmer drink. It is a layered beverage that starts with the rich flavor of tea and finishes with a refreshing lemony twist. For dessert, we ordered their cheesecake (as I absolutely love cheesecakes) with fresh strawberry and topped with strawberry syrup and chocolate syrup. It was truly mouthwatering, with a creamy texture and a rich taste to your palate. The service was accommodating. Our server was keen that he checked on us to ensure that we were enjoying our meal. The food was very good. My husband got the Patty Melt with fries which he thoroughly enjoyed. I had the Sweet Summer salad which was delicious, and they did not skimp on the toppings! First time going and this place is a new favorite. We got the Zeke's sample platter for an appetizer with the fire fries and fried shrimp. All of that was amazing. Husband got the ribs which fell off the bone and had such good flavor. I got the Alfredo Cordon Bleu sandwich and wowowowowowow. It was also cold out so we got hot cocoa which I loved.
