Parking lot and drive-thru areas are a mess with overgrown vegetation. Associates tasked with making a burger your way are unable to provide the burger as requested on most visits. Staff is not concerned with your requests and they make you feel as if your are the problem if you present the burger back to them if it was not prepared as ordered. It's a shame to see this establishment go down hill as it has. read more

Absolutely ridiculous. Showed up to pick up an order placed 20 min before. I get there, not a soul in the parking lot or store. Walk in and one employee is apparently doing prep. I was all but ignored and waited another 15 min to receive two lousy breakfast sandwiches. I was the only customer the whole time. Terrible employees. Lazy Lazy Lazy. This store is the absolute WORST! They NEVER have the items in your order. I order on the forking app for convenience, then you get to the window and they don't have it! Even worse, then they make you go through the app again to get a refund, which never happens either! I'm done with this store and calling my credit card to dispute charges. Such a total WASTE of property. Demolish this location and put a park there so you can eat correct food from any where else! read more

It was a busy day in Sanford with all of the "Porch Fest" activities happening. My wife and I chose fast food because we had less than an hour to eat and make our way back to Wop's Hop's to see one of my favorite bands, SIRSY. The restaurant was practically empty except the lone homeless man taking shelter from the cold inside with a hot cup of Joe. When approaching the counter there was no workers to be found. After waiting a few moments, my wife began hollering "hello, anyone home" which made me laugh quite loud as I thought to myself......here we go! Finally, a young girl emerged from the back of the store and she was quick to fulfill our order. We settled on what seemed to be a great deal, two orders of 5 items for $4. We both chose coffee as our drink item, the 4-piece chicken nuggets, French fries and a double cheeseburger. The deal includes a chocolate chip cookie and I added a bacon cheeseburger to the mix for the hell of it. We were informed that the coffee needed to be made fresh and it takes roughly 4 minutes to brew which we were perfectly fine with. Our food was up rather quickly however the staff did not deliver it to the pickup area. I believe they were waiting on the cookies or coffee and this is why they left our tray in the cook's window. The problem is that while our food was sitting there it was quickly getting cold. Once again, the staff disappeared into the back of the store for a prolonged amount of time. My wife had to resort back to hollering "Hello, anyone home!" to notify the staff that we were still waiting on our food. When we finally received our food, the fries and chicken nuggets were cold and dreary. The burgers were just OK and somehow the freshly brewed coffee was cold and tasted horrid. I think the highlight of the meal was the chocolate chip cookies. To sum up the review, I paid $10.69 for three "just OK" burgers, two decent chocolate chip cookies, two cups of hot coffee served cold and inedible chicken nuggets and fries. I have been to this Burger King several times over the past few years but tonight (2-22-2020) was probably one of the worst experiences I've had at any Burger King to date. The young lady who took our order was really nice and so was the other girl working with her. I overheard them discussing that they were called in for this shift and maybe this is why the service was blah. Regardless, you have to treat your customers like gold even when you don't want to be there otherwise business will dwindle to null. Order 30 | Mobile order drive thru turned multiple visits back. Jul 7, 10:28am Whopper with cheese, light mayo, extra pickles. Extra charge for cheese. They remade my burger 4 times, I drove back twice. Burger 1: Whopper, no cheese, normal mayo, no extra pickles. Burger 2: Whopper w/ cheese, bacon, extra mayo. Burger 3: Whopper w/ cheese, light mayo....checked at the location, left, 1 block away, noticed a ton of mayo under the patty. Burger 4: Whopper w/ Cheese, light may, extra pickles. This was my 8th order in a row they messed up at this location. Either missing fries, nuggets, mozzorella sticks, wrong burger or made wrong. After remaking this burger 3 times wrong in a row. 8+3 = 11 times in a row. While waiting for the remake, I seen customers come back in that onion rings were missing...ect. Having to drive back and forth is a problem if you want to make things right. Many probably do not do this and I am one of those. This was the only time I went back to the store. Other times were family meals and everyone was hungry. This one being just me, I had to go back. Overall, this location has poor training/management. Nothing ever happens with all the negative reviews and they continue to serve customers by messing up their orders and not paying attention to detail. If this was a different business or something like healthcare, this would not fly, this many mistakes on a regular is a horrible way to run business. They also take FOREVER at times due to understaffing and this location may often randomly be seen as closed for the day. read more

I ducked into the drive thru even though I know better. This BK just doesn't get it right. I ordered a double cheeseburger with mayo, ketchup, pickle, onion only. I got a single burger, no cheese, with mayo, ketchup, and pickle. When my order came up on the screen, I told the BK worker that it wasn't right. I was discriminated against by the manager at 201 French Avenue in Sanford. I ordered through the drivethrough and she refused to give me my food, stating the drive-through was closed although there were no signs in place. I told her I ordered through the drive-through because it is difficult for me to come in due to recent surgery. When I did go in, she loudly ridiculed me and discussed my medical condition loudly to the other staff members and to the other customers. I have filed a complaint with the ADA because my medical needs were not met and because I was humiliated by the experience. The manager would not give me my food until I called the corporate office to complain. When I called the corporate office I was told someone would touch base in several days. I am so disgusted by the way this Burger King treats disabled people. Beware! They will make fun of you and your medical problems! I will never, ever go to Burger King again. read more

The app was glitching and messed my order up (not this location's fault). Air conditioning also not working... hotter inside than outside (86 and sunny outside). Their milkshake machine was NOT working either, but they very quickly offered a substitution for my online order. I did not have high expectations because of all the terrible reviews here and Facebook, but the 2 person crew was extremely friendly and the restaurant was actually clean. This is the rudest place I have EVER been to, I know that because of Covid that things might not "run as smoothly" but that does NOT give people the right to not address you as a human or apologize for the inconvenience of being short staff. This location is always very slow. The drive thru takes longer than most places take when you go inside. But the food is good. The entrance is off a side street, not 1792. There is a pretty cool playground that my granddaughter seems to like. read more

Worst Burger King I've ever been to. Service was extremely slow even though we were the only ones in there. The food was wrong as well as cold, and there were homeless people camped out inside. I received a call back today regarding my issue from July 25th - below. Today is August 10th. My issue was such a concern that it was being addressed by a shift supervisor who had such a poor command of the English language that I could not understand her. I asked for the General Manager who sounded overly annoyed when she came on the phone, didn't know why they were calling me and then after looking it up said, "Oh, you're calling because the employee didn't take your order too good or something, right? What can I do for you?" Um, nothing. Just forget it. Forget I was ever a customer. I do not usually write reviews. A read a lot, but typical don't write them. Especially negative ones. But Wow! This experience was way over the top. My wife and I happened to be in Sanford and had a coupon for a BOGO Whopper so we made the mistake of stopping at this Burger King. I knew we were going to be in trouble when TreJohnte behind the counter looked at us and laughed and greeted us with, "You Ready?" We ordered, 2 Whoppers, Onion Rings and a couple of drinks. We had to wait quite a while. When we received our food, my drink was still not ready so I had to wait longer. No problem. We unwrapped our sandwiches and I took a bite to find put that I did not have what I ordered. Not sure how you mess up 2 Whoppers but they did. I decided I wasn't going to go through the hassle of reordering and waiting again but we noticed that TreJohnte who took our order was cleaning a table (about time since the restaurant was empty and we we sat at the only "clean" table.). Anyway, at the same time we could hear someone in the kitchen trying to find a bacon whopper with no cheese no lettuce and no tomato, mayo only. Which is what I was suffering through. We told TreJohnte that we had that sandwich and that I didn't get what I had ordered, to which his response was to laugh and say while chuckling, "Too late now, hope you enjoy what you got". Mind you I had not said an unkind word the entire time. We also noticed that other customers that came in afterwards that TreJohnte seemed to know were being treated differently than us. It's really unfortunate that more restaurants in diverse neighborhoods don't do a better job with Diversity training. To be singled out and treated that way was very disheartening and cast a real cloud over future Burger King visits. MIT was almost as if he enjoyed demeaning us. I know there won't be any further visits to the Sanford location where it is obvious our business is not wanted. read more

My drive thru order is hardly ever correct from here. Often their grill is closed down. Today I received a completely wrong order from the drive thru and had to go inside on my lunch break to wait a while for it to be fixed. I was treated very dismissively by the front counter staff, except for one individual recooking my order. Still almost got part of my order wrong again, when finally corrected the front counter worker tossed the bag across the counter at me and turned away quickly. It really doesn't matter which Burger King you go to, you can expect the same crappy food, and poor service. Someone should sue Burger King for false advertising on their tv commercials. I ordered a Whopper and chicken nuggets to go. When I got home and looked at my food I discovered a squashed burger and a bag of nuggets that were already cold. I opened my burger to find mushy tomatoes so thin you could see through them, some green ingredient that sort of looked like lettuce, one sad pickle slice smaller than a dime, and lots of mayo. There may have been one tiny piece of onion, but it was hard to tell. I know we live in a land of budget cuts, but shame on you Burger King. With all the time the workers spend on getting your "food" ready you would think the end product, especially the Whopper, would be a masterpiece. I went to this location thinking it would be different from the other two locations in town. Poor quality, poor service, and poor training must be Burger Kings motto. This has got to be the worst Burger King drive-through ever. I live near here and have tried to go through the drive-through on many occasions when I get off work at 12 o'clock at night. Many times there is sign in the drive-through window that says closed but they are a 24 hour drive-through I don't understand. Also if you go through the drive-through anytime of the day it is at least 15 minutes until you get your food even if there is only one or two cars in line. I am writing this review as I sit in the drive-through line now wondering why I gave them another try but the McDonald's across the street is just a slow. Do not eat here. read more

I wouldn't even give this location one star if I had to! This place is ALWAYS extremely slow (be prepared to wait atleast 20-30 mins minimum whether you are in the drive thru or go inside! Wait staff is extremely rude on every visit!! I was literally disgusted with all the flies that were inside the restaurant as well! After the remodel, I was hoping that service would get better, but it hasn't. They need to hire new employees or just shut down! I wouldn't be surprised if they close due to negligent health code violations!
