Complete with the salad bar buffet and the pizza served to you in a cast iron pan. Oh, and the familiar smell that I can only describe as a pizza hut parlor. I feel strange reviewing a pizza hut, but the service was pretty friendly and drink refills were always taken care of promptly. I don't really have any complaints. Okay, maybe one or two things. Our pizza with extra cheese seemed to have more sauce than cheese and the jukebox placed directly behind me faintly pumping out Journey, confusing me into thinking it was my phone ringing. Not that I have Journey as my ringer... Really, I don't.

But we've had to come to the conclusion that the people in this town just don't know good food. We've almost been poisoned (Rome's Independent Grocery). We've eaten lettuce with sand in it, and moussaka that could be beaten any day of the week by a good TV dinner (Zorba's). We've eaten at an "Irish Pub" with no Irish food on the menu, but really bad Mexican in its place (Maloney's). So getting Hungry Howie's delivered to our hotel was the food highlight of our vacation... and that's pathetic. If I'm going for a pizza chain, I'd still choose Toppers over Howie's. The gourmet crusts--which Howie's is known for, I guess--weren't worth the extra price. But the pizza itself was good. It was edible. It was the best thing we've eaten in Sault Ste. Marie so far.

A green verde on the side and a mild hot sauce were included... The tortillas were white corn and just the right size, soft and fresh... Now the star of this was the carnitas... I have to believe it's been simmering all day to be that tender and juicy... The flavor was not over done either, you can still taste the meat, plenty of diced onions and cilantro... On Point!! Most of the time its nice to dine in since the atmosphere is old-timey and always leaves a good impression upon arriving, sitting, and leaving. When they deliver they don't give change, they will just take the money and leave without so much as a thank you or you're welcome. There could be improvements among employees, policy, and delivery. The pizzas are always good on arrival and takes little to no time to make if you decide to dine in. The cheese is soft and stringy when you take a bite. Sometimes though the cheese slips off the crust meaning they should have baked the pizza for longer.

Ordered a pumpkin butterscotch bar (made today), plain latter with oat milk, green mango tea and a Mediterranean turkey sandwich (multigrain of sour dough) for a shared snack. $21.41 They tend to run out of their cinnamon rolls first thing in the morning. No cinnamon roll. You can add cream cheese, PB and other toppings onto your baked goods. They do charge a CC surcharge. The pumpkin butterscotch is overwhelmingly heavy with the butterscotch chips. The pumpkin flavor is nice. It's a tad dry. Would like it better with chocolate chips instead. The latte with oat milk is good, the coffee is flavorful. The Mediterranean turkey was ok. The multigrain was extremely hard, the kind that will tear up your mouth. Not a lot of hummus to it. It's good it has the yellow peppers or it would be really bland and tasteless. The green mango tea is good. Good flavors. Perfectly steeped. It's quiet in the seating area, louder hearing the staff's conversations in the back kitchen area.
