The Colver's on Hamilton Road is about 4 miles from home and I'm happy to drive 4 miles for a visit to Culver's. This was my first visit to this location and it lived up to my expectations. My wife and a friend share a common b-day and I took them to Culver's to celebrate their shared special day. Our friend had the chicken sandwich while my wife and I had two differnt variations of the butter burger - all three of us had a side of fries. The burgers were exceptionally good and the fries were excellent. AND - what's a trip to Culver's without ice cream. My wife and her friend both had turtle sundaes and were impressed by the amount of pecans in the sandae. I had a choclate "concrete" that was really good - very chocolatey. Glad to have a Culver's less than 5 miles away.

Today it was handy, and I have heard their meats are better, and as we pulled up we saw the footlong churro- so we knew K was getting that, if nothing else, because she loves churros. And she said she'd never had a sub before, which might be true, or might be lost in the mists of time. They have a small kid's menu, so she got a ham sub, and picked out her veggies. They even have a shaker of parm, and just that would have won her over. They weren't busy on a Sunday afternoon, and the clerk was super patient and helpful. Took care of her, and put up with me hemming and hawing since I had no idea what to order anymore. I went with their "new" Italian sub. Got home and: it was pretty good. Bread is the same as I remember. Meat was pretty good and piled on. Veggies were fresh (neither of us got tomatoes, they looked plasticky, but the other stuff was fine.) The churro, which he heated up before we left, was big. And a little soft and doughy, but it was probably crispy right after being heated. She liked it. I've finally weaned her off McDonald's. She'll probably want to go to Subway again. And again. I'll have to find a new favorite sub, but they're at least decent, so I should survive. A little pricey, at $11 for two six-inchers, but that's the new reality.
