Panera Bread locations are generally interchangeable and indistinguishable. What made this location noteworthy was the staff. Everyone I interacted with was exceptionally friendly and courteous--not in a creepy, welcome-to-our-cult way, but in a I-genuinely-hope-you-have-a-great-day way. Did an online order that had an hour prep time, got there with 9 mins to spare and they didn't even start the order yet! Needless to say, the sandwiches were skimpy, the brownie was not edible and the Greek yogurt was spoiled! Definitely a disappointment!!! I'm not sure what's up with the Sunbury chain restaurants, but they can never meet even the most mediocre food. We weren't even greeted when we walked in. When traveling on the road and you need a good sandwich or salad or even a decent cup of coffee you can't go wrong with stopping at thus establishment. We enjoyed a sandwich, soup and the Mediterranean bowl. The food and service are consistent. The restrooms are clean and the folks behind the counter are nice. This location is probably one of the best Panera's I've been to in a long time. The lady running the counter was a sweetheart! We actually dined here two days in a row. It's FriYAY in our house. Ok, it's really Friday. That means either we go out to eat or we get takeout. After several hours of going back and forth we both wanted something different, so take out wins. I opted to get Panera. I wasn't that hungry and didn't want burgers or tacos (shocker, I know). I sent my order to my other half, because I didn't feel like getting out of my jammies. The order was the you pick two, half with the Frontega chicken panini sans onions and half with the corn chowder. Ten minutes later he was back and I was ready to dig in. The panini clearly had red onions on it. Before I go blaming Panera, I asked my other half "did you ask for no onions?" He said, "I sure did." Strike one Panera, you put onions on the panini. Strike two, you out way too much sauce. It made the sandwich soggy. Strike three, the mozzarella wasn't melted. Next up the corn chowder. It was OK, but when I think of chowder, I think of a thick soup, not runny like their corn chowder. It had an overpowering taste of cilantro. The highlight of the meal was my side: the baguette. Oh Panera, I was a fan of your breakfasts, but as of late, your lunch/dinner is no bueno. The next time we get takeout, I think I'll avoid Panera. Didn't even know this was here; nice to have some options besides fast food. Looks new, nice big lot, and big inside. The usual setup with baked goods up front, and the various sandwiches, salads, etc., on the board. Sweetie got broccoli cheese soup and a Caesar salad, said it was good. Baby K got a mixed greens salad, which she liked. Dressing should be on the side, though, for kids- you never know what they'll like, and they might want to dip. But she liked it fine. I had the chicken tortellini and their new vegetable soup. The tortellini was good, the chicken was a surprise- canned, shredded chicken sprinkled on top. I assumed it would be inside, and have never seen tortellini served that way, but it worked and was very good. The soup was heavily seasoned, lots of barley and veggies, again, very good. For food I would say 4 stars. So why 3? Service. It wasn't awful, don't get me wrong. But it was slow and disorganized. Lots of poorly managed teenagers. They were friendly, and helped once they realized what they needed to do. But there was a lot of standing around and talking. Lots of wasted time. Prices are a bit high, but it's quality food, tasty, and with decent portions. Service, I'm sure, changes with the shift. We'll be back someday. read more

This restaurant orders were quick however they were not very busy. Most of us had soup and sandwich. The breads are very good. My only complaint is the restaurant was cold inside. Just waiting in line with no one in front of us, she couldn't handle that. Then up to the counter to order and had to repeat every part of the order. Then my husband was done ordering and she asked for his Panera card, he went to look for it and so I then started my order. That was not ok. She said just wait and asked the phone number with the account. Once she got that I could order. She did not like that I wanted something other than what was exactly on the menu. I didn't know asking to not have lettuce and tomato was a confusing statement. She just couldn't handle it. Took ten minutes for girl on counter to get my payment. Messed up on computer. Then there was NO COFFEE. Had to wait. Then they informed me that there was no Hazelnut. Definitely not the best panera, but being right off that highway it's a convenient option, when they decide they want to be open. Unimpressed, soups were not particularly hot. Coffee was luke warm. It appeared that the coffee station was not attended by personnel. Personnel that took the order appeared generally disinterested and did not communicate special requests to the kitchen. Well, was also fully charged for a cup of hot water. Restaurant itself appeared mostly clean with the exception of fiod droppings and crumbs under the tables. The bathroom however needed desperately cleaning by 11 am already. I really do love this location of Panera. I make it a regular stop on my drives to Columbus, but today was not the same. The bathrooms needed servicing despite the lack of customers. The iced tea tasted Ike it had been brewed in the coffeemaker. Little gnats were flying everywhere. Very disappointing. We placed and large order more than 24 hours in advance and when we got there there was only two people working and half the order was handed to us. We had to go through each order and check off everything we didn't have. More than 75% of the food was not even started and the employees had no idea. I love Panera and this Panera is on my way to my parent's so I frequent it quite a bit. That being said, I've either had an amazing experience there or a bit so great one. I've always had a good experience if I go inside and eat there. Quick service, great food, and friendly people working there. But when I go through the drive through? Incredibly long wait for a 2-3 car line at like 7 or 8 pm so way past the dinner rush. I've gotten the wrong items and only discover that when I get back home. I do have to say that once they gave a free cookie for the long wait which was nice but I've sat there waiting for 10+ minute countless times. So I say to take the time and just go in if you plan to drive through. read more

We live super close to this location and visit often. Usually they have pretty decent service and above average food. Recently, service has been slower than a three toed sloth which moves a max of 10 ft per minute. Very slow. We went in the other evening for dinner and waited in line (a short line) to order, but it took 15 minutes to order our food. Then we waited another 25 minutes to get our food!! Panera is supposed to be an alternative to fast food. My experience with them lately has been anything but speedy. I am disappointed. read more

Terrible customer service, I parked in the parking lot having never been to this Panera bread before, followed an old woman inside of what happened to be the "back door". To which I was rudely met with a $12 an hour attitude from a 2 color haired lady I wasn't fortunate enough to spend enough time with to get a name, scolding the older woman, my girlfriend and I about how we walked in the back door and if we would of went to the front we could of read the sign saying their dining room is closed. A fairly new Panera that just opened in October. Same menu as all other Panera's across the state. The one floor plan exception is that they have moved the restrooms up front behind the registers instead of in the back of the restaurant. read more
