I am extremely confused by the type of lettuce they use in their lettuce wrap. It does not work one bit. Please see the pic I posted. You cannot hold the lettuce wrapped burger at all. As a result, you eat the patty and lettuce separately. It sucks. The whole point of the lettuce wrap is you should be able to hold it. Instead, you just get huge chunks of lettuce, and the ketchup and mustard on the side. Weirdest lettuce wrap ever. Also, I got a double patty and fries (no drink), and it was 19$ and some change. Paying 20$ for a burger I can't even hold is horrible. I feel scammed. Fries were good at least. It also takes a while to come out. Parking was easy, but again I'm not sure what to compliment here, as the burger was unable to be enjoyed as a result of the poor presentation. read more

Turkey burger was totally overcooked. Restaurant doesn't use tamper-evident (sealed) delivery bags. Food is delivered in a normal brown paper bag that's merely stapled shut. Today I had the Mushroom Burger, and it was absolutely delicious -- juicy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked! Fatima service was incredible -- she was super friendly, full of charisma, and had such a positive energy that made our visit even better. She provided exceptional service from start to finish. The rest of the staff was also very kind and welcoming, which created a really nice atmosphere overall. Definitely one of the best burger experiences I've had in a while. Their service is always magnificent, and they greet you with a welcoming smile, and their food is so good, I am speechless. We came in this evening at 7:50. The seating for the restaurant was blocked off with chairs and a worker glared at us as we ordered from self service screen. I checked to make sure they closed at 9:00 as opposed to 8:00, and they did in fact close at 9:00. Since most tables inside were blocked off, we sat outside. At 8:15, the workers started dragging all of the outside chairs inside very loudly making us feel like we needed to rush eating. At 8:20, they started mopping all of the floors inside the restaurant. People were still coming in to order and they were still open for 40 more minutes. The food was fine, but the service was just plain weird. There are so many options on 17th Street, we don't need to choose one that makes customers feel unwanted over an hour before they close. read more

The onions should have been thick and tender IMO. When you arrive you order up front then take a number and they bring it to you. My go to is the Lounge Burger or The S.O.B. The grass fed beef is always so juicy and the bun is soft. The fries are pretty average. I've also tried the Crispy Chicken Sandwich and I would skip this. My second time at the Burger Lounge in Carlsbad, CA. was rthe same as the first experience: The only reason there was a second time was because my kids were visiting and wanted to meet there. The only thing dryer than the hamburger bun was the meat patty, and the only thing more watery than the chocolate shake was a glass of water. I literally have had a better burger at a Mcdonald's, and have actually paid 1/3 LESS for a 1/2 lb patty delicious gourmet burger at a boutique restaurant just up the coast in San Juan Capistrano - which we split because it was so large. Upon entry I was happy to see it wasn't too crowded and was greeted immediately. The house cheeseburger sounded about right for the first visit, and the twice-cooked Belgian-style fries....there it was. Grabbed a seat after washing my hands in their ultra clean bathroom(s) and only waited 5-7 minutes before my food was delivered. I requested some more ketchup and while the guy got busy with to-go orders, he didn't forget about me and delivered the backup ketchup precisely when I needed it. Excellent! I really did enjoy the burger, requested white cheddar and that really hit the spot. Their house-made dressing, resemblant of chunky thousand island, was also quite good. We have always loved Burger Lounge. We discovered the one in Carlsbad on vacation and were so glad to find one close to home. We've always have a great experience, until today. Service was awful. They were busy, but we've been there plenty of busy nights prior. They were having issues with their fries but warned us and we said it was fine. They were terrible but we'd been warned so no worries there. We waited a very long time for our food. I went to use the restroom while waiting. It was disgusting. There was urine everywhere. Our shake didn't come out so I waited awhile because I knew they were busy. I went up to ask for it, but nobody would acknowledge I was there so I went back and we finished our food. I went back up to ask again after eating our meal. This time, I was able to ask someone. He said they'd bring it to us. I told him we were done eating. He seemed annoyed and asked me to wait at my table. The shake came about 5 minutes later by someone who also seemed annoyed and gave me a curt apology. The shake was watery and tasted terrible on top of it all, but I was done and just wanted to go home. We won't be returning here again unfortunately. read more

Nick figured out what the mixup was he was very communicative, very respectful, very professional and made the situation right.
