Burger Lounge is a great place for a quick lunch. Located within the Los Olivos Marketplace near Marufuku Ramen, this place surely hits the spot. I ordered the crispy chicken sandwich with avocado.. delicious with a side of fries (everything is a la carte). Sandwich was very juicy and tasty and fries were perfectly crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside, just how I like them. Only downside is that parking here can be a total nightmare. Not their fault, but definitely recommend coming early for lunch or avoiding peak hours as this is a very busy plaza full of restaurants and options but fill up very quickly and was even difficult to find parking at 11:30am on a weekday. So we just moved to the area from Sherman oaks, and absolutely LOVED the burger lounge branch in Van Nuys. One night we wanted burgers, looked up Burger Lounge, and what do ya know, there's one close by. Immediately got in the car and went. Man were we let down. Ordered the food, sat down, got the food. Both of our burger patties were burned. The onions on the burgers, burned. Fries were cold. The only ok part was the dairy free shake. A little sweet but pretty good. The strange part was, after we left and during the drive home we both had an allergic reaction from something in the food. My throat started closing up with a tingling feeling. And my girlfriend who never gets allergic reactions also had the same thing, throat closing up, hard to breathe, and tingling feeling. This Burger Lounge has managed to remain consistent after several years, and I do appreciate it. It really doesn't taste like a chain. The quality is great, and I always feel like the food I'm eating has been made fresh, been consistently good, and satisfies me. Over the years, I've tried quite a few things on their menu. My favorite would be the classic Lounge Burger or the Alaskan Cod Sandwich. The Lounge Burger is just a solid burger. The patty is crispy but not burnt. The bread is doughy and soft, but light. The shredded lettuce (my favorite kind of lettuce) with the sauce brings a kick of freshness to each bite. Now, I love a fish sandwich. They call me crazy, but I love fried fish between two slices of bread. So, the Alaskan Cod sandwich is wonderful in my eyes. Perfection! Crunchy, flaky, fresh (tasting) fish. That combined with everything that makes the Lounge Burger so good just equals a phenomenal experience and mouth feel. The location makes me want to tear my eyeballs out and throw them at the nearest body of water. The Los Olivos parking lot is a warzone. It doesn't help that the Whole Foods next door is busy beyond belief. It is a glaring example of the failure and impracticality of car-centric urban planning. I bring this up because it really does dissuade me from coming here. The seating situation has never been bad, however. This center has a row of good choices so there is something for everyone... The Burger Lounge is pretty good with a juicy burger on a nice fresh bun. Clean inside with good service. I took 1 star off for two reasons and they are minor by themselves but added together they equal a minus 1... The burger said it had the BL 1000 island dressing but there wasn't any on the burger.. probably really good but I can't say. And the person delivering our order had a situation where the onion rings were falling as they were delivered to the table so we caught them in our hands to keep them from going everywhere.... In all honesty, I felt I was pretty deceived from the overall 4-star review rating that had my curious about this restaurant in the first place. I'm usually a pretty easy/forgiving reviewer who hands out 4s and 5s easily (LOL), so to give this place a 2-star, really says a lot. First off, I want to mention that I absolutely adore the staff. My boyfriend ordered the Lounge Burger and I ordered a seasonal Western burger (forgot the exact name - it included meat, onion rings, BBQ sauce, etc.) on a gluten-free bun. We also ordered French Fries and a non-dairy Chocolate shake. I did NOT love my burger at all. Not only did I feel that it lacked BBQ sauce (putting it on the plain side), but I felt there was nothing special about it at all - if anything, the onion rings were the best part of the burger and there were only 2.5 onion rings on it. I was definitely not smiling as I was eating my burger (something I usually do when I eat food, LOL). My boyfriend's burger was better than mine, but nothing impressive at all. The fries were mediocre, but don't even get me started on the chocolate shake. I should have regretted ordering "non-dairy" but it straight up tasted like poison to me (poison is a bit of an exaggeration - it just tasted BAD). I told my boyfriend I would drink water any day over that shake. Really sad that I didn't love this place because it's right next to Whole Foods, a grocery store that I do love! read more

Wow. This review is way overdue. So I think I came here about 2-3 months ago with co workers. Stopped by the Whole Foods plaza so that we weren't just limited to 1 restaurant. A cheeseburger just sounded really good to me that day, so obv Burger Lounge caught my eye. Upon going in, I was a little overwhelmed by all the options so I opted for a kid's meal instead. I mean, you can't really go wrong with a kid's meal - smaller portions + it comes with a scoop of ice cream. What's not to like?? I ordered the Cheeseburger kid's meal and I was shocked at how filling this was. I was able to add tomatoes and onion on my burger and the portion was perfect. I wasn't too full and I wasn't left not satisfied. The store was very clean too and I wanted to thank my server, Arelis who was very nice and helpful throughout my ordering process. After 2 days, I still had uncomfortable indigestion. Something is seriously wrong here. I'm not even able to get a hold of Sirena and there is no "contact us" option on their website either. They need to make this plain & easy and have a way to be messaged on Yelp. It took 5 days for the inflammation and the indigestion to subside. They are possibly using a meat tenderizer or cake agent in their "organic grass fed" ground beef patties, in order to possibly give them an appearance of being larger than they are. That is my impression. The taste of pure organic grass fed beef is being diminished by an unnecessary increase in whatever additive they use. Don't get me wrong; it's generally OK to use a dash of baking powder or baking soda. However, they may not be using the right amount. Friendly warning to this restaurant and its Corporate Chefs - fix this please. Otherwise, this place has great potential. read more

Updated review: Last time here unfortunately. Don't know why people change what's going well but they changed their fries. They are nothing like the ones before. The previous ones seemed fresh and these are definitely frozen and I believe have been dipped in flour so no longer GF (people working there didn't know or not ). I will pay a premium price for a good burger and fresh fries but this experience wasn't much better than regular drive through fast food. Sad My first review was a 5 star but things are beginning to slip. Twice now my burger was not what I ordered and I had to wait for a new burger while my husband ate. Both times we were not able to eat together at the same time while both enjoying hot fries. He got a burger with hot fries and I either had to eat the fries while they were still hot and wait for my burger or eat my burger with cold fries. I hope the service goes back to the way it was when they first opened. I'm gonna try one more time because the beef is very good. read more

The garden burger had a crispness to it and the burgers were a burger but also like a smash burger texture if that makes sense. Yummy!! We arrived 40 minutes before closing, they were busy but quick.
