This Korean chicken place is located in a large plaza. The shop itself has half a dozen tables inside and a large patio seating area. I came in for a late lunch and ordered a lunch special (available until 3pm) - boneless wings with fries and drink. Canned and bottled choices for beverages are in a cooler next to the register. The woman at the register was very friendly and made me feel welcome. My meal was ready and delivered to my table after a few minutes, obviously made to order. I was surprised by the large amount of food. It's certainly a bargain for the price. I really liked the coating - I chose the Golden Original - as it was crunchy yet not overly thick. The chicken was meaty, tender, and moist. I liked that the chicken meat, a combination of some white and some dark, wasn't very oily. The fries had an excellent crisp coating that I really enjoyed. This is a pretty good place for Korean fried chicken. I don't particularly love Korean fried chicken, but my friends do. I'll try to be objective about the chicken and the place itself without my own bias about the whole genre. We ordered the original whole chicken and a medium order of the soy garlic. I also ordered a spicy chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries. Even though I don't love the whole genre of Korean fried chicken, this was pretty good. The original was very crispy and had a good mild flavor. The soy garlic was also quite good. Like most Korean chicken places, they don't make any distinction between white meat and dark meat and there's no way to order chicken breast -- so if you're a gringo who only likes breast meat, you're out of luck. I ordered the sandwich hoping that would be breast meat, but no go. The flavor was pretty good, but not breast meat The side of sweet potato fries was very good and a very generous portion considering it's just a side. The portions were all pretty good. We stopped by because my kids were still hungry after eating at the café next door. Since we weren't planning on a sit-down dinner, we ordered everything to go. It took about 15-20 minutes to prepare our order: 8 pieces of Secret Sauce boneless wings, 8 pieces of soy garlic wings, and a rose ddeokbokki with cheese. We really loved the rose ddeokbokki with cheese -- super flavorful, creamy, and the portion was generous enough for 2-3 people. There's about 5/6 tables that can 2-4 people each. The cashier/waitress was friendly. She seated us, took our order, delivered our food. Even considering how overwhelmed they were because of the WorldCup, the situation was ridiculous. People were waiting over an hour for their food, and many customers ended up canceling their orders and leaving. Management seriously needs to improve the ordering system. They're taking customers' money, yet when orders get backed up because of their own poor operations, they get irritated and take it out on customers. Staff were visibly stressed, there was chaos in the kitchen, and at one point there was even a grease fire. After waiting that long, the chicken quality was disappointing as well. The only people suffering were the employees trying to keep everything together. When we moved, the one at Cypress Village was closer to us and it was fine also but our most favorite location is the one at Quail Hill. It's not so busy and they always get our order right. The chicken is always fresh and hot and has the perfect crunch. Also, the chicken pieces are of a good quality. We typically order the original spicy chicken and soy garlic. Stopped by this strip mall for lunch and actually was looking at 3 other places that happened to not be open (Japanese, Thai and Kinaree, the other new Asian place that is having a soft grand opening soon), so I went here while bf opted for the Indian place next door. I guess you could say I am partial to the Asian food places over others. I went with the combo with boneless soy garlic chicken wings and chose fries as my side. They said it would be a 15 minute wait even though we were the only ones at 1pm on Friday. Order came out in more like 10 minutes which was nice. I went to use the restroom to wash hands before our meal and good god you'd think this place in a relatively new looking strip mall would have a better bathroom. The inside of the toilet had what appeared to be flecks of what someone did... explosively, which doesn't bode well with how clean they are in the kitchen to be honest. But didn't want to judge the place based on its bathroom, so opted to see how the meal went. The chicken is packed on top of the fries in the box, which wasn't too appetizing. I would've rather had it in a container that was separate. Chicken was decent although the other bb.q chicken places I've tried in Anaheim and Tustin were more solid. Wouldn't come back here when there are better options in this strip mall unless I was really hankering for Korean fried chicken. I would suggest cleaning the bathroom and doing something more with the indoor dining area to make it seem more welcoming. read more

The Korean BBQ chicken here is excellent. The wings and drumsticks as fairly good in size. And the crunch on the fried batter coating is excellent. I chose the soy garlic sauce which was very good, not overpowering and flavorful. I love the kimchi fried rice here. Order it with cheese if you like cheese. They cover the rice with a layer of what appears to be melted cheddar cheese. They even place a fried egg on top with a perfectly textured slightly runny yolk that will run down into rice which makes it even tastier. There is an ample amount of kimchi mixed in the rice, tender chunks of chicken and the rice is cooked with perfectly spiced Korean sauce. read more

I normally love BB.Q, and this is now the closest location to home after we moved. As we did last year, we decided to order wings for the Super Bowl. I placed my order on Friday, 2 days in advance, to secure a time slot for 2:30-2:40 pickup. As soon as I was done paying I received an order confirmation that said my order would be ready on Sunday at 2:45pm. Outside of the window I selected. I wanted enough time to get home and get settled before the 3:30 game started. I ordered the original crispy wings and soy garlic wings. Last year at another location we were also able to order additional sauces, and each order of wings included a little cup of the radishes. This location had options online to order only 2 different sauces, both spicy options. Fast forward to Sunday, I go to pick up my order. As I am arriving to the parking lot, I received a new order update saying my order will be ready 2:50-2:55. They were behind on orders and pushing times back. I walked into the store at 2:45 to wait and grab my order as soon as it was ready. Inside was small with maybe 3 other parties waiting. The man at the register told someone that any new orders placed are a 1 hr wait! I was pretty obviously standing "next in line" right at the counter and had not been acknowledged yet when a man walked inside to the siee of the counter to check on his order. After he was helped and sat down, another older man flung the door open, stepped RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME, and the cashier who saw me standing there already and still had not acknowledged me helped this man and took his payment and handed him his order. Unbelievably rude. I finally asked about my order and was told it would be ready soon. I asked if I could also order a little cup of the galbi sauce and was told they don't do that and don't give sides of the sauces. This was about 2:56 so I stepped to the side to wait. The floor near the drink cooler area was very sticky. There was an employee in the dining area filling cups with radishes. I was given my order and I left. The food was hot and fresh and crispy as always. My "golden original wings" were spicy! I grabbed them for my 5 year old to have an option and figured plain chicken was a safe bet. Nope! I suspect we were given the spicy original wings, which is very much not what I ordered. The soy garlic wings were good. Radishes were not cold and crisp as I was used to so they didn't really get eaten. As a side note, I received 1 cup of radish, one I had to pay extra for. Looks like this location doesn't allow you to order any of the good sauces and doesn't include the radishes with the orders by default. I understand they were busy and hurrying through orders but between the lack of basic customer service, lack of ordering options compared to other locations, and giving me spicy wings instead of what I ordered, I really don't want to return to this location.
