It's a good burger spot, had the Manic hamburger and Voodoo Jerk Fries. The burger was good, a simple but effective smashed burger with pickles, onions, mayo, and ketchup. Not too oily either which I enjoyed. The fries were better than I expected. A good portion size, definitely enough for two. It as loaded with sauce and lots of chunks of chicken. Freshly made to order as well as everything was crisp and hot. The interior of the restaurant is a bit tiny, maybe it's mostly takeout only as they also don't seem to have a customer restroom which is a downside since they have interior seating and eating burgers does typically require one to wash their hands after. read more

I love a good burger. This is a good burger. It's reasonably priced. Bun is good. Staff was efficient and polite. I would actually eat this burger again. Why 3 stars? Sadly, the execution of my order was way off. I am not a fan of onions. Order clearly said no onions. Sadly I got a large amount of onions. This was my first time at Burger Mania. It was a Friday at 5pm. I took a seat one of the nine counter seats after ordering the FDNY Burger. It was off-peak and one guy was doing it all as host, waiter, bartender and phones. I enjoyed my meal while watching The Yankees baseball game and listening to slower Spanish language tunes. I was craving a burger and literally came upon this place at random. Quick Yelp lookup revealed great reviews, so i walked in and behold, I found a donut burger in the wild! Maple glazed donut split in half, 2 patties, bacon, cheese, onions, and I removed the spicy sauce. Now, the cashier had to check in the back to see if they had donuts. I knew I was taking a chance at 6 pm because you can't expect a fresh donut late at night if you're not at a proper donut shop. The burger came out quickly, and it looked great. Unfortunately, looks can be deceiving. I hate to complain too much, but i am a donut burger connoisseur, and I can make a better one at home. My complaints: - First, the donut was cold. That's how they keep them "fresh," I guess. The maple glaze was melted, oozing off, so they warmed it up somehow, but the core of the donut was still cold. - I usually make my donut burger with a classic glazed donut. Here, it's maple glazed. That overpowers the taste profile and makes it too sweet. I can see how it would emulate maple bacon, but the bacon here isn't good enough to hold its own part of that equation. - The bacon was more chewy, fatty than crispy. Like the microwaved bacon you would get at fast food. So sad to ruin what some would call the perfect food. - Way too many onions. The onions were cooked well and would normally give a crunch and sweetness, but that was way overpowered by the sweetness of the donut, so came off more oniony than normal. I pulled them all out and was still left with strong onion flavor. This ones definitely up to personal preference -- some people will love the amount of onions provided. SO DELICIOUS. I got the chorizo burger and my friend got the Big Boy and were legit in love. It was so scrumptious and the meat was so juicy and tender. The burgers could be a little bit bigger as they're pretty pricey (mine was $7 and hers was $12) so I'm taking one star off for that but besides that, it's awesome that they're halal and they do have a feta bar seats available (it's first come, first serve). Second time here and it won't be my last. I got the Nashville chicken fries this time and they were great. It was layers of fries, fried chicken, cheese, coleslaw, and sauce. I just wish the coleslaw wasn't hidden underneath the chicken and cheese and was on top so I could actually see it. I tasted it every now and again so it seemed it was dolloped in patches. I haven't had the smash burgers myself because I don't really care for beef burgers but my brother really finds them memorable (he's tried dozens and he never says anything really about them). My favorite burger in the city! In an area perhaps hidden amongst the jungle of the Port Authority, this place has excellent smash burgers. Recommended by friends, I stopped by this place on a late arrival into the city and selected the FDNY. Amazing in summary. A perfect size, spiciness and beef crispiness. The fries are crispy, the fried chicken is tasty, the mozzarella is melted to perfection, and the combination of sauces just makes the whole meal full circle. Sure you might feel like you gained 5 pounds after eating it, but you won't regret it- trust me! I personally have not tried the burgers but several of my friends have and said the fries are better.
