When I saw best burger in NYC, first thought was "that's a stretch" lol walked in as a skeptic, walked out a fan. I stopped by Burger Mania Friday for dinner while in the area and it was a pretty solid meal. They are also halal. I got a simple order - manic cheeseburger and checked in on Yelp for Cajun fries. The photo looks a little underwhelming, but both were done well. The manic cheeseburger is pretty basic in that, well, it's their classic but simple take on a cheese burger. Cajun fries had a unique slightly sweet taste that worked well for them and no complaints there. All in all, glad I tried and maybe next time I'm in area I'll stop by again. Oh boy - these burgers are great. They really have an In-N-Out kind of taste to them ie they were great! I visited 20 minutes before closing on a Friday. It wasn't packed but something to note: their indoor seating is limited to about 4 chairs and you need to show proof of vaccination. I ordered the Nashville Tenders (5, combo) and a Double Deluxe. The order was ready in 10 minutes. The tenders were average (3 stars on their own) which is why they aren't getting the full 5 stars from me. They don't look like their photos and are more nugget-like. We got the mild, which was perfectly mild in its spicyness level. Like I said, the burger was awesome though. Very tender and savory, every bite was a nice experience. I'd definitely come back for the burgers. read more

I wouldn't go as far as saying that it was the best burger I've ever had, like some of the other reviews have claimed. I had the Oozy burger which is halal (all burgers are halal here) comes with two patties, melted cheese, grilled mushrooms and onions and their house sauce. Taste was good. I found the size of the burger a bit small. Seating is extremely limited with only a handful of chairs. The lady wearing the hijab at the cash is very friendly and nice. It's like they torpedoed a flavor rocket into my palette and laid waste to my nom receptors. I took a bite of the burger and I was like "wait a minute." Then I took a bite of the fries and I was like "hold up." Probably my first ever double, double-take. The service was professional which is unheard of in this part of New Amsterdam. The oozy burger was def pretty oozy but it lacked some of the mushroom flavor was I was looking for. The caramelized onions were a bit excessive but packed so much flavor. The wings were really good! And the big boy was a favorite amongst my friends. I didn't expect the jerk fries to be such a huge side - it could be a whole meal on its own!
