Great little burger place in Hoodsport. Got the deluxe cheeseburger and was very impressed. Not super greasy, and their sauce adds to the experience. I also got their onion rings. Big, crunchy rings cooked just right. You can't go wrong with an order of them. They have a selection of ice cream, and they advertise bulgogi which I did not try this trip. It is a small business, so you pay a bit more, bit it's not excessive. Also, fresh food takes time to make, so your order might take a bit to be made, but it is worth the wait. read more

Got a deluxe burger with fries and chocolate chip shake and it's been sooooo delightful so far I stopped eating just to write this review. The burger is juicy and flavorful cooked to perfection both the burger and fries are made hot and fresh because it took me a minute to let it cool and then some. The fries are the best! Not limp or cold or tasteless. Crispy golden and not too salty! I don't think you could go wrong with any of the shake flavors. Also fun and random to see a sword for sale ($250) in the restaurant. Gives it a little spunk. The service was also just fine, no complaints, simple, smooth, to the point. Try it out and enjoy the weather in their outside seating. Owner impatient to take your order, with signs everywhere saying no substitutions, no this, no that, extra charge for this and that, no bathroom etc. They want $5 to go from a single to a double, $.75 for sauce, and the list goes on. We were hungry and out of time to find another option so just bit it. We get the food and the meat is so undercooked I was sure we would get sick. Luckily not, but dude, your business is burgers (and teriyaki - never a good sign), figure it out! I would leave zero stars but that's not an option. Only way this place has 3.8 stars is because they bought a business that used to be good and then started wrecking it. And BTW, I rarely leave reviews and wouldn't have bothered were it not for the unwelcoming service. It's a beautiful sunny 69 degree day in lovely Hoodsport, Washington! We stopped in today for the second time in the past few days for lunch. The other day, we had deluxe bacon cheeseburgers and shared an order of onion rings as well as fries. Today we ordered their chicken teriyaki plate which is served with white rice and salad. We also ordered fish and chips. The meals are very filling and deliciously satisfying. Food is made to order and Steve from today and the employees who helped us the other day are very friendly. The building is older, but kept exceptionally clean. There is ample seating both outside, covered with carport awnings, and inside. For the mobility challenged, there is a small ramp with hand railing leading to the front door entrance or to the restroom. Folks can even call in orders for pickup. The prices are reasonable especially since Hoodsport/Lake Cushman/Lake Kokanee is off the beaten city path. So, if you are in the area, right off Washington state highway 101 in Hoodsport, Washington, stop in for a nice fresh bite to eat, or treat yourself to a generous selection of flavors for an ice cream cone or milkshake. After backpacking for a few days, we headed here to grab some much needed burgers and drinks to fill our hunger and it hit the spot! We ordered: - deluxe burger - onion rings - french fries - bulgolgi plate They had really good french fries and onion rings here! My burger was good enough and I was happy with it! Cody ordered the bulgolgi plate which came with a good sized salad and lots of rice and meat. Overall, he said he liked it. Not the best he's ever had, but it was good. We've been coming to Hoodsport for 3 years, and kept meaning to check this place out. Well, we finally fixed that, and it was so excellent, I went back two more times just to make up for the years i missed out. Excellent customers service from staff, they'll chat you up and tell you anything, ask about your meal, and then leave you to enjoy it. Or tell you everything about your burger if you ask. Outdoor & indoor seating, clean and perfectly cooked. Price is a little on the high side, but you're not paying for some pile of grease and wilted lettuce: the ingredients are quality, the variety is incredible, and there's a genuine burger of the day. We seek out ice cream on road trips like a pig in a truffle field, so when we saw the large sign on the side of the road "ice cream "and noticed how packed the place was we v- lined for the parking lot and we are so glad we did!!! Perfect post hike burger spot. Unpretentious, accessible, fast and quality food. There is one person running the show who is 100% good vibes. I ordered the Bulgogi burger which was the perfect fusion and flavor. Like a Korean cheesesteak - chefs kiss - brilliant. The interior has a couple of 2 and 4-top tables but the gem is the outdoor seating with picnic tables (some are covered) and the beautiful garden. What a nice experienced in a small burger bar that has burgers, chicken teriyaki and ice cream cones from heaven. The service was exceptional very sweet people, a breath of fresh friendliness, the best fish and chips I've ever had (fresh grease) If I knew ahead the homemade tartar sauce would be that perfect I would've got an extra for my fries. Hubby had the burger. It was a huge double burger, juicy very fresh. Dripped down his hand and he didn't even care. Asked about ice cream flavors and owner gave me a "cup" to sample. I was in the area looking at purchasing a vacation property where I came across this awesome gem on the corner. My kids and I saw "Ice Cream" and of course had to stop. While the HUGE sign said burger and teriyaki I was hoping the ice cream would be decent. Boy were we surprised! It was delicious. We had the Kona Coffee, Heavy Huckleberry, and peanut butter chocolate. All were great. We tried waffle and sugar cones and again, just delectable! This is a tasty little stop just down the road from the Hoodsport Winery. It is a little burger joint in what looks like a mobile home with plenty of outdoor seating. We chose to sit outside and enjoy the mid September warmth. The burgers were great with all the toppings you could want just like you would make at home. The fries (my personal weakness) were the crinkle cut ones you remember from your days at the state fair and such. The outside seating is great. Picnic benches and an out door porta potty. (They are apparently big on those in Hoodsport). Don't bring your pet for the outdoor seating there are various signs that state No Pets All Owed (apparently their stenciling needed a bit of work) See the attached pic. Heehee. Very good place. My family has been going here several years, it is the only place we eat at while in the area. The food is absolutely amazing, the prices are great and the owners are wonderful! They have a full menu of burgers, chicken strips, Korean food, kids menu, milkshakes, smoothies etc. And recently they have a added beer garden/picnic area. The absolute best place to stop if you're a tourist, camping, hiking, road trip, heading up into the National Forest or Lake Cushman. I highly recommend! read more
