Never say no to ice cream! Came by for a post dinner sweet treat and was greeted by some friendly workers who helped us sample a wide variety of flavors. My friend and I ended up sharing a flight, which was so yummy. I love that the place also serves specialty drinks. It elevates the whole "just an ice cream shop" vibe. The interior is very simple but I imagine in the winter when their little fire is on, it's super cozy.

I tried out the Frosty Barrel with my Dad and was very impressed! I had never heard of such a cool pairing before! It was super cool! I had the white wine and ice cream pairing flight, which was delicious!! It turned out to be more than enough ice cream for me! The inside was super clean and had plenty of seating available. The staff was great and helped us figure out exactly what we wanted.

Love walking here whenever I get the chance! Customer service is always beyond helpful and sweet. Music, ambience, ice cream and drinks have never disappointed. Love that it's locally owned too!

I love coming by for the ice cream (snoqualmie ice cream) the selection is a decent amount for the local area. I really like the quality of the ice cream. I haven't really tried anything else but the ice cream. But I appreciate the fire place that they have there. It's a perfect spot to grab a sweet treat, or an alcoholic drink even to catch up with friends or something quick. The service is friendly as well. I'd highly recommend this spot! I know they rotate their flavors on the ice cream too :)

Back again...in love with this place Wanted to try out some new fall flavors and they did NOT disappoint. I tried the Pumpkin Cheesecake and Maple Scone and they taste exactly like the real thing! My boyfriend got the Apple Cider Donut ice cream and he found a chunk of actual donut inside. That's how you know they're using REAL ingredients. Love it here!

Delicious ice cream flavors here. They also serve a few beers, cider and wine. And, booze shakes. I opted for a seasonal flavor of apple pie a la mode. Just delicious. Creamy and not too sweet. Full of pie crust crumbles, apple pieces and vanilla ice cream. Of course. Super friendly service and good vibes. Clean store with water. Looking forward to coming back for a boozy shake. Plenty of parking in front. And outside tables if you want. Happy treats! SYOY!

Red Velvet and Smores hot cocoas

Cute little joint but with a vast menu! Had some yummy hot cocoas here: red velvet and Smores. The drinks weren't sweet and it was the toppings that made it sweet. The smores had whipped cream, graham cracker, and Choco syrup. Red velvet had crushed red velvet cake and whipped cream. Both were delicious but Smores was my favorite. Gonna have to come back to try their boozy concoctions and icecream flights with wine.

Rotating display now shows Snoqualmie branding

Been a local favorite for a few years. It seems they were quietly acquired by Snoqualmie Ice Cream in the last month - the menu has changed subtly and the interior branding has changed much less subtly. I think the recipes have as well - the cookies and cream had a different texture than I was used to from the previous incarnation of Frosty Barrel. Thankfully Snoqualmie Ice Cream is pretty great, and the local ice cream scene hasn't been amazing in terms of competition, but I'll admit it's a little bittersweet to see the family owned business get absorbed into a larger one. Still intend to return regularly.

We were looking for an ice cream spot for our anniversary - heard a lot of great things about the different kinds of flights you can do. We missed out on the hot cocoa flight but did the ice cream flight. So glad we did, I loved being able to have small tastings of the beers/ciders to pair with the ice cream.

Tipsy Hot cocoa flight, peppermint martini, tipsy campfire
    Jojo L.

My friends and I wanted to do something a little festive, so we headed on down to @frostybarrel to see their festive decorations while trying out their holiday drinks/icecream! There were so many delicious items to choose from, so we ended up doing a couple flights and individual drinks! Below are the items we got: * Tipsy campfire * Pepperment chocolate martini * Ube hot cocoa * Caramel chai hot cocoa * Smores hot cocoa * Peppermint hot cocoa * Ginger bread hot cocoa * Gingerbread icecream * Peppermint snaps icecream * Apple brandy pecan icecream * Spiked peppermint hot cocoa * Spike butterscotch hot cocoa * Tennessee whiskey icecream * English cream strawberries & shortbread icecream Everything we had was incredibly delicious and surprisingly not overly sweet despite the amount of items that we got! They also sell savory items on the menu, such as flatbreads! I definitely plan on coming back again, even after the season is over, as there were other icecream flavors and drinks I wanted to try, such as their wine flight pairing with icecream and their ube icecream! There are not many seats inside, so keep that in mind if you are interested in getting their flight options. It took about 10-15min to order, and took another 10-20min waiting for the order. They also have a cozy firepit to sit at, if available!

East coast panini, one of the better paninis we've had anywhere
    Simon H.

Great food, ice cream and drink options. The East coast panini was amazing, red velvet hot chocolate was very good and we sampled ice cream including chocolate raspberry, strawberry and ube. The ube ice cream was our favorite!

Very cute little shop with patient staffs. We asked a lot of questions and changed our mind several times but they were all very happy to accommodate. Their chocolate drinks and ice cream are on point and I love their flight options so that you can try multiple flavors

Located in a strip mall in Newcastle with parking. Love the setup of the store that has one table with a fireplace top. Lots of ice cream options that you can sample first. There are a lot of food options as well. We tried the ube and strawberry sorbet. Staff was patient and friendly.

They do have a good wine list, but the pricing is HIGH. Think $25-$45 PER GLASS. Some of the wines this made sense for, but they really should consider adding a wine or two below $25 per glass. I have my WSET 2 and know a decent amount about wines so could understand why some of them were priced like this, but the whole menu being this high was strange. $32 for a glass of pinot noir didn't sit right with me. We asked to do flights so we could try a few things, but they said they were only doing glass pours. We asked for a rec for an acidic, fruity red and felt like the gal just told us the most expensive non-tannic red on the menu. Fine. For $32 a glass, I would not order what I got again. We headed to a restaurant after and got $14 glass pours that we preferred. This is a great place to go to impress someone with the chic vibes, but good wine can be found elsewhere at a fraction of the price. I do see the appeal though. It was also pretty loud when we went, so we chose to finish our conversation elsewhere.

We kicked things off with the truffle popcorn--my go-to starter here. Light, warm, and perfectly kissed with truffle oil. Not greasy, just addictive enough to keep reaching in between sips of wine. Then we ordered the artichoke cheese dip. Warning: it arrives piping hot (our server kindly gave us the heads up). We dug in anyway and immediately learned patience is a virtue here. Once cooled, it's gooey, creamy, and totally worth the wait. And because conversations just kept flowing, we added the meatballs to the table. Hearty, flavorful, and the perfect "something more" to balance the lighter bites. Service was spot-on--attentive enough to make sure we had everything we needed but never intrusive. I also love how this spot works for so many moods: girls' night, solo bar hangs, or even patio time with pups. The added bonus was that the wine was delicious. So when I discovered they were opening a tasting room in Renton, I was so ecstatic. They've been open for a year or two now and they are flourishing!
