I had honestly one of the best sandwiches I've ever eaten here today! First off, the focaccia bread was a time amazing - soft, yet sturdy enough to hold the immense amount of goodies inside, I'd truly eat that bread every single day if I could. (Pro tip, they sell it separately and had I realized how incredible it was before I left I would have brought some home). Secondly, the vegetarian fillings were fresh, perfect avocado, fresh tomato, lovely red peppers with a nice slice of Swiss and some fresh lettuce. It was heavenly. It's maybe a tad expensive, but considering the freshness and the bonus blueberry bread and chips they included I did not mind at all. The guy worming was very nice (and made an incredible sandwich) but the woman, who I'm guessing was the owner, seemed a little put off to have to make stuff. I'm only docking them a point because of the somewhat awkward feeling and slightly stale atheistic of the place. But honestly, it was clean and they are clearly putting out a bunch of fresh, homemade goodies so I can absolutely look past that all. Next time I'm in the area I'll be back and I'll be loading up on their fresh bread...and probably a pastry or cookie or something else yummy. read more

I have been to a lot of restaurants and deli's and I don't know how to explain it. A club is 1 pieces or 2 of meat 1 and a half chz 1 small piece of lettuce 1 tomato and there you go if you ask for double the meat and an extra slice of Chz it's 1 more thin slice of meat with that chz and they change you 20.00 bucks just for the sandwich. Made my second visit to the Olympic Bakery and Deli. What a nice spot to visit for welcoming words and great selection of baked goods and coffee/latte. I had a breakfast ham and cheese croissant and a caramel latte. The croissant had a generous serving of ham and cheese inside and was warmed up when I ordered. Served with it was a large slice of banana bread which was a nice surprise. The latte was surprisingly delicious for a place that does not necessarily advertise itself as a coffee stop. The baked goods are unique selection of cookies, breads, and European treats like Rugelach. I picked up an apricot one to go. It was delicious with a large bit of filling and tasty pastry. This makes a nice place to stop whenever you are back and forth between Belfair and Shelton. read more

We had a party of 6 on Saturday 12/27/25 for wine tasting. A few of us have been here before. We are originally from Waianae, Hawaii and relocated to Lakebay, Washington in 2019. The staff and owners resembled people from Hawaii, they display so much respect, compassion and kindness, all aspects of what we know as ALOHA. We had so much fun and learned a lot about the different wines. We will make this a tradition and try to go every year during the holidays. I love this place! Their baked goods are awesome - the sourdough bread you can't stop at one slice and it's the perfect pair with coffee in my Morning routine. I've been here a few times to buy the fresh bread and loafs, and I've always been so pleased with them. I sliced the soft and freshly baked loaf and we ate it with soup. It was DELICIOUS. It's getting chilly where I live and there's nothing like bread and soup! We've also gotten fresh sweet breads and are never disappointed. While there, I had a club sandwich and it was perfect. Let me start by saying what a relief they're open on sundays. My wife and I we were driving through and wanted to stop in and get a sandwich. I got the French dip which was perfect and hit the spot. They had cheese and I appreciate that. My wife got the turkey avocado club sandwich and that was a hit as well. But let's get to the real deal. We did a wine tasting with, Neil. He was incredible. His knowledge, his willingness to teach and patience made our day. He let us try some incredible wines with generous pours and was great company. I think we were there for almost 2 hours and had little interest in leaving. They have incredible wines, cheeses and of course tons of really impressive baked goods. I was a frequent flyer of this bakery until I moved. I went there recently and was surprised at the unfriending service. It wasn't bad service, just seemed that the staff was not happy. I got my fav peanut butter cookies and a sausage croissant. There was barely a hint o peanut butter and the croissant wasn't that great. I ordered one cannoli, one butter croissant, one sausage broski, one spinach broski, and one loaf of sourdough. Total with tip was $47. You'd be the judge. Cannoli was a bit soggy. Can't say the same for the croissant which was unfortunately stale. The sourdough is just okay, quite dense but not a lot of flavor and apparently could have used a little salt. At least. The piroshki were good. I wish I had taken a look at how much I paid for them though. Tasty and fresh and they were kept in a humidified display case which probably helped. I didn't have a chance to enjoy the sandwiches or brother menu options but they sure look good and I would definitely stop by for lunch to eat in. The ambiance is nice and there are some gourmet accessories including decent wines and charcuterie. Customer service was A1. Friendly and helpful. This is a nice local bakery obviously owned and operated by good people trying to provide a community space and doing so successfully. The only downsides were some pretty high prices which I can kind of understand given location demand etc. The freshness and flavor of the baked goods that I sampled however were a bit disappointing. Today I went for the first time to olympic bakery with high hopes, but was quickly disappointed. I ordered the quiche to be heated and a box of what we're supposed to be goodies. One wedding snowball cookie , one cannoli , and one raspberry rugalash. The Quiche was delivered just a little warm and hard as a rock. I have never seen Quiche like this before so I thought I would try it thinking it might be different or better than what I have tried. It was so bad I took a few bites of the middle which were the only part that was soft and left the rest on the plate. I Opened my box of sweets and immediately took a bite of the snowball cookie , which was stale and obviously made long before they put it in the case. I picked up the cannoli , which was soggy on the bottom , and the filling was made of some kind of possibly amaretto. Not a good combination , soggy , and weird tasting. I didn't even taste the rugalash because it was hard as a rock and I had previously had hard quiche. Thank goodness we didn't pass up because the rugelach was the best I've had outside a Jewish New York deli, and the piroshki was delicious! But the highlight of our day was the surprise impromptu wine tasting that Neil gave us while we were waiting for our sandwiches! Most wine tastings feel corporate, even when someone has knowledge there's rarely passion or spontaneous thoughtfulness behind the tastings. Neil is clearly knowledgeable but also holds each wine dear to his heart, telling us what to pair with it, and even giving us tastes of food that he thought would bring out the tastes of the wines even more. It was FUN and delicious and I never felt pressure, just pure enjoyment. I appreciated the level of service I got, and it made my day! read more

We spent the weekend on Harstine Island and came here multiple times for their delicious desserts and sandwiches! We highly recommend the cherry pie, the cinnamon rolls, and chocolate chip cookies! My daughter got a sugar cookie with marshmallow and rainbow sprinkles that totally made her day! Went here today when we drove from Seattle to get our new pup groomed. We had three hours to wait and I was super excited to visit this bakery. I ordered two cinnamon rolls, two chocolate croissants , a grande americano, and a sausage piroshky. I loved the sausage but didn't expect there to be potato. They included a cranberry Orange loaf slice and omg that slice was so incredibly moist. I would totally get that again. I'm so glad they threw it in because I probably wouldn't have gotten something like that on my own. It wasn't too sweet but it was so moist and not too heavy. The cinnamon rolls were really good, the icing on top was really thick but it actually wasn't too sweet either. I loved how there were crispiness, a little bit of stickiness, and it was overall really chewy. I would def come back for that. I was really excited for the chocolate croissants, but found the chocolate itself to be a little too sweet and overpowering. I felt a little over sugared after eating that and ended up taking out some of the chocolate. It's coded with chocolate on top as well as has a lot of chocolate inside. This was my first time stopping here for a few years, but I mainly stopped for a loaf of sourdough. I got two cannoli and two macaroons and the sourdough and it came to $27. Pretty spendy. I tried the cannoli when I got home 45 mins later and it was already soggy but tasted great, so I'm guessing it was sitting around for a while in the shop. Macaroons were overcooked and tough and dense, and were also probably the least sweet macaroons I've ever had, but they were pretty good. Pretty different from any macaroon I've had. Sourdough was pretty good, still not the sourdough taste I'm looking for compared to my homemade, but the texture was great. I feel ripped off on the cannoli and macaroons, but I'll probably be back for the bread. read more

I sadly did not get the name of the gentleman that helped me, but after a quick 5 minute phone call he was able to curate a beautiful assorted sampling of macarons, croissants, danishes, cinnamon rolls, marionberry pastries and a few others I can't remember AND deliver! My wife is an exquisite amateur baker. She bakes amazing breads, rolls, and cakes. When I write amateur, I really mean that she spends time and effort in selecting her flours, weighing them, mixing them carefully. She selects the right yeast and grows her own sourdough. The sourdough is fifteen years old, and is developing a personality, and an attitude. When she proofs dough, be it yeast or sourdough, the house fills with the amazing smell of "something good will be coming out of the oven later today". When the oven finally opens, it takes restraints to not bite into the bread or cake when it's way too hot... I admit that the best baked goods I've ever had, were at home. Until today. We stopped at the Olympic Bakery & Deli for lunch and that familiar smell of "something good is about to come out of the oven" filled the place already, mixed with the "a lot of good stuff had already come out of that oven already..." We had some croissants, rugalach - a specialty, and we tasted different kinds of breads. Everything was spectacular. The dough, yeast or sourdough, was fantastic. Speaking of sourdough, I thought ours was old. Fifteen years. Well, compared to the sourdough that lives at the Olympic Bakery & Deli, ours is a toddler... Theirs is four generations old. When the owner took us for a tour of the production room, and opened the sourdough container, I learned what good old sourdough smells like... Turns out that baked goods are not the only specialty of the place. Wines, different wines from all over the place are on display and for sale. The bakery has its own wine tastings every so often! They even have their own one-of-a-kind ice cream, and delicious deli sandwiches. And that's not all. They also have jewelry for sale, handcrafted by the owner. Fun little Bakery in the middle of nowhere, but, filled with wonderful treats! We stopped in on a drive with friends, what a gem! This cute little building sits on the North side of the road not far off Hwy 3 between Shelton and Allyn. There are a few nice outdoor tables as well as a few seats inside the deli. There were people seated in the outdoor tables and their food looked great. When you enter there is a nice big bakery case to you left and it was filled with many things, from pinwheel cookies to cannoli! Croissants-some filled, Snickerdoodles, Cinnamon rolls, PB cookies, Chocolate chip cookies, Blueberry bread loafs, Cannoli, Tea cookies, pies, Thumbprint cookies, Eclairs, fresh baked dinner rolls... and some interesting pastries from around the world graced the case! I know I am forgetting some of the items. Nice deli menu! They have a good selection of ice cream, a wine tasting area with wine for sale, and a full espresso menu. I tried a steamer-very good! The staff were friendly and helpful. You will need to ask as the prices are not marked with the ever-changing bakery items. I made my first trip to Harstine Island Thursday and noticed the Olympic Bakery. Told myself I would stop on my way back. There are a row of trees partially hiding the building. Not a large bakery section, but very diverse selection. I got a pistachio cannoli, an eclair, cinnamon roll and a rugelach. The cannoli was good, the cream filling seemed to have a bit of lard in it, as it left a waxy feeling in your mouth. Overall flavor was good. Cinnamon roll was unlike any traditional roll in how it was constructed, very good flavor with cream cheese frosting. Eclair was good, chocolate on top was a little heavy and not quite sweet enough for my tastes. The surprise treat was the Jewish Rugelach. Never heard of this before, but the description sold me to try it. Kind like a Baklava filling with flaky dough and a fruit flavor. I got the peach one and it was the star of the four. Highly recommend if you are anywhere near it. I'll take pictures next time. read more

This bakery was a nice little find recently. We enjoyed the apple strudel, chocolate covered macaroon, tea cake, and the ciabatta loaf. All of those were excellent. The strudel crust was crisp. I had a turkey sandwich which had two of the thinnest slices of turkey I've ever had in a sandwich. All I tasted was the bread, lettuce, bacon and mayo. It came with a bag of chips, orange slice and a piece of blueberry bread and it was $19+. Not worth it. We also had a ham and cheese croissant, and it had one thin slice of ham. My wife and I come here on Saturdays on our way to Bremerton for shopping. We decided to grab a couple of quiche for Christmas morning. We arrive a little after noon on Christmas eve. The normally sweet staff has been replaced by a couple of surly knuckleheads. No greeting, no eye contact, no smiles, short speach, NO SWEETNESS OF ANY KIND! My wife orders 2 quiche to go.
