Lubbock peeps don't ignore this hidden gem. It's convenient staying at the hotel. But, this would be a great place to watch Cowboy games. Most of the negative reviews are due to service or hours. I understand. But, if business was consistent, that will go away. Angela was a fantastic bartender. The TVs are plentiful and just ask if you don't see your team. Came in tonight to grab drinks with friends, the Bartender made out drinks one by one and brought them out one at a time, it took over 20 minutes to get one round of drinks, and they sucked. No head on the beers, and instead of shaking our drinks she just poured them in a glass and MAYBE stirred it up. By this time its last call. We order our last round, at 8:45. Ready to get out of there and call it a night, the bartender is LOUDLY talking about us and our party and the server who joined her was nice to us but was talking loudly with her. I am so put off by the behavior of the second rate staff i wont be back! Im sure they wont miss me because its hard to believe anyone comes here more than once with the service recieved. Kinda generic American food, but it's fairly priced. The service was also friendly and attentive. The restaurant is attached to the lobby of the Holiday Inn. There are a lot of TV screens, so it's probably a good place to get a beer and watch a game. read more

Recommend, but cautiously: food is acceptable but not stellar, I recommend ordering simply because the more "gourmet" toppings are not as well prepared as their standard fare. Service has been consistently slow. And my current visit and last visit today, I ordered chicken strips. I specifically asked how many were in an order. I was told six. So I ordered them. Well turns out they look nothing like the picture or chicken strips. They looked more like nuggets. I'm done eating here. As for hotel guests, sometimes we just want to stay in and not drive. Bad food and bad service. The young girl behind the bar had no idea what she was doing but very friendly. Go somewhere else. Update: 30 minutes after this post friends came in to order hamburgers. We hadn't tried this place yet for breakfast/brunch, and decided to give it a shot. James warned us that the kitchen was backed up, which we appreciate him letting us know in advance. We were not in a hurry so it wasn't a problem. They were out of a few things due to having a busy weekend, but again James informed us. The food was really good and well cooked. My understanding is the cook is new too. James is great at his job and setting the expectation and was apologetic for the wait. read more

I stayed at the Holiday Inn Lubbock South recently and had dinner at the Burger Theory each night. I had the Chips and Queso as an appetizer. It was very good and the serving was plentiful. For my main course I had the BT Boss Burger. It was delicious! read more

Under staffed, long waits, and mediocre food. I felt so bad for the one poor waitress waiting on several large groups. Not her fault but clearly falls on management. Horrible service. Waited an hour for our food, some came out way before others. When we finally got our food it was cold and dried out. our waitress never came back to refill our drinks so we ate our food with no drink took an hour to get our ticket. When we finally got it we were over charged by 2 meals. Had to go and hunt for someone to help. Then came back and it was still wrong. The owner was on site which was odd. After talking to him about our issues he informed us he was cooking and just asked that we give them another chance and to please not leave a review on Yelp. You know I am sorry goes a long way. There is a significant difference in service staff - Saturday evening server was very rude. However, both Sunday and Monday (James) breakfast servers were so welcoming and kind. The food was ok. Ordered shrimp appetizer. 6 shrimp for $12. Wowzers! Shrimp were good but not $2 per shrimp good. Burgers were ok. I didn't finish my onion rings and I usually don't waste those. Service was great, but food wasn't up to par for me amidst the many other burger joints in town. read more

Horrible customer service- Macy had the worst attitude and so did the bartender with her nose pierced

We initially walked in with low expectations as it is located in a hotel and we were just meeting a family member for dinner. It was absolutely awful from the moment we sat down until the moment we left- We sat at the bar and got a few drinks then ordered our food. It took over an hour and a half for them to bring us our food that was barely even warm and the order was all mixed around - I had ordered an appetizer that never came but "it's okay I (waitress that took our order) didn't charge you for it" Okay but like that was my dinner so I was disappointed I didn't get to eat because by the time we actually got our food the kitchen was closed so we just had to make do with what was brought out. She did charge us for drinks that we had order but she never brought to us - since they were on the ticket she went ahead and brought them to us - 5 drinks and promptly told us they would be closing soon instead of just taking them off the ticket. She was very rude the entire night and had no customer service skills. Keep in mind this is a hotel restaurant so it wasn't crazy busy and she wasn't the only one working there were other waitresses and a manager on staff. This is definitely not a must for Lubbock locals to try but if you're traveling and stuck at the hotel and don't mind waiting on cold food this is your place. But also Milwaukee has a wide variety of better food with better service. read more

We just ate at this place and it was horrible. When we arrived it was empty except for two other small tables. We did have a larger group, three adults and six kids. First they had to take our drink order three times before she got them right. When we got our food they left three meals off and the rest of us were done before the others got their food. The food was not good at all. Nobody ate all their food. When it was check out time it took us a good while to get our tickets after I asked for them and they couldn't figure out two tickets. After we signed our tickets to leave then we couldn't find one person to take the ticket. All three staff members we had interacted with as some point had left the building. The bartender was outside smoking, the waiters was in a car outside and the cook came out and got in the same car as we left. Sadly this was the worst place we have ever eaten. read more

1 Star for the burger because the chef salted the patty and made it edible. Otherwise un-noteworthy and chewy "angus beef". 3 people in the entire place and the other 2 just drinking beer and shots, and taking up the bartenders time talking. It's attached to a Holiday Inn and I fear heavily subsidized. It will be gone soon. 1 crappy brand attached to another. Bartender puffing on e-cig while pouring and serving drinks. Nice touch. I called to order room service, (note they didn't have room service available which on menu it says they do) I called at 10:40 am to order breakfast for my toddler and I. I was told they stop serving breakfast at 10:30 am. The menu says breakfast is served 6-11. It just seemed they didn't want to take my order. Very aggravating. read more

Understaffed. We went in at 8:30 p.m. There was still an hour until they closed. We were a party of 4. The lady waiting tables and bar tending was just too tired to serve us. The burgers took well over 20 minutes too make and they came out cold. The meat did not taste fresh. Overall, I would not recommend this place. It does not compare to Toro Burger, Heffs, BurgerFi, or any other burger place I have had in Lubbock. I do not plan to go back and would eat McDonalds over Burger Theory.
