Worst experience of my life. To make the story short, I accidentally ordered the wrong item instead of the Philly steak I got a steak sandwich. I politely asked them if they can remake it and they were being extremely rude. After a while they agreed but they were killing me with their looks. I received my food after a long wait and it was really good but when I got home I started getting really bad cramps. I had to be in the bathroom the entire night from the looseness of the bowels and vomiting. I'm sure they intentionally put something in my food. I've been a customer for over 18 years. Unfortunately I've noticed some things have changed and not for the best since the original owners took the place back. They must really get alot of complaints for Angelo, the manager to admit and say that ALOT of ppl complain then try to get free food out of it. chili fries had a huge piece of hair in it. My poor son was chewing and pulled out a long strand that was already in his mouth. I called and asked was for a replacement next time I'm in town. He only offered a replacement ONLY IF I brought the food back that same day before closing because "alot of ppl complain and don't bring bk the food. .At best I would only get a small discount next time i was there. I gave him my info and agreed to replace them next time. I casually mentioned that the cashier at the drive thru wasnt wearing a mask. Didnt really bother me but was surprised in these times. He said none of us wear masks because its hot etc etc and that next time i come in ,they won't be wearing one and if i don't feel comfortable he suggests I go eat somewhere else! Wow..lol. Tried to say he didn't say that but I heard him loud and clear. At that point i knew he didn't care about my business so I told him i would be expecting a refund. My husband went the next day w the fries and hair for a refund and the lady was telling him "we don't give refunds cause of covid " lol. I've been looking to find a great (value, taste, and portion size) chili cheese fries spot for many, many years, and I think I've found one in Orange County. Yes, many can argue that The Hat's chili cheese fries are of one of the best, but they don't smother chili over the fries and usually don't get enough chili. For the amount of chili I get and the value, Burger Town tops the Southern California pastrami giant. I was shocked when I was carrying out my order. My whole order that included the large chili cheese fries, bacon burger, onion rings, a side of ranch and yellow chili peppers weighed close to 5 lbs! I should've ordered the regular sized chili cheese fries that was $1.00 cheaper. I couldn't even finish it a day later! Large chili cheese fries $5.92 with tax - Gigantic, greasy, and goes well with the yellow chili pepper. Get the chili cheese fries with grilled onions on top. The grilled flavor of the onions blends well with the meaty chili. Bacon Burger $3.83 - Buns toasted and neatly assembled, and surprisingly not too greasy! Maybe because the cook put a lot of lettuce and tomatoes which I liked. Onion rings $3.01 with tax - A good size, greasy, breaded well, deep fried to perfection. Goes well with ranch or seafood/cocktail sauce and bbq sauce. I'm glad I finally tried Burger Town after so many years of neglect and driving passed by it. We had a terrible experience when ordering food here. We decided to try it out because of a craving for a BLT sandwich. We enter the restaurant and automatically we notice customers dining in, walking around not wearing masks. Then we notice an employee not wearing a mask while walking around behind the counter. We asked them to put on the mask but they made up an excuse as to why they aren't wearing one. Apparently, because she worked "in the back". Needless to say, we felt disgusted. So Burgertown has been under a new owner the last couple months and has changed drastically. With that being said I have to say the new owner is truly amazing, he genuinely cares about his customers and their experience at Burgertown. Every time we come in which is usually once a week or sometimes even more he is very friendly and ensures the food is on point. We appreciate the environment and delicious selections. This place has really gone down since they got new owners. The owners don't do anything except for get in the way. And when a customer has an issue they go hide in the office. None of the employees wear masks.. And this last visit was literally the last time. This is how they gave me my fried zucchini! Burnt! Oh and they are too cheap to invest in a new intercom. Sometimes I have to go to the window because the person taking the order and I cannot hear each other. Also one day I went with my grandma and they charged her twice on the bill and when she asked about it the manager would not come out he just told the worker to tell her take it up with her bank.. This place is not worth your money. Ordered the teriyaki and it is salty ass heck. The lettuce looked as if it had been sitting there for a while. The bathroom if located out side and its perty dirty. They ran out of a soda flavor asked numerous times for the syrup to be changed out request were ignored. Our regular breakfast place had a line out the door, so we decided to try this place. I've never been here before. The first thing that I noticed is how incredibly clean the restaurant is, from the parking lot to the inside... really spotless. I love a clean restaurant! The order taker was very nice and quick, and she knew her menu. I like things cooked a certain way (eggs over medium and hash browns well-done) and she got all that. When the food came to the table, it was beautiful... eggs done perfectly as I like them, and the hash browns nice and crispy on the outside. The bacon was also done to perfection. I don't know why it's so hard for many restaurants to get this right, but these guys did a GREAT job! I enjoyed every bit of my breakfast and for a price that was really reasonable, too. I really don't mind this place at all. Customer service is given at its best but you always get what you want here. Doesn't seem too busy on the weekend either so fell free to try it out dine-in. I haven't tried the drive thru yet but it shouldn't be any bad like it is inside. The menu is very clear to what you want and there's just SO MANY choices. My food has come out well but not enough for a five star rating. The burgers are a hit or miss honestly depending who's making it. So explore this place a bit more if you're a newly local like I am. I will be back here whenever we get the chance! They do also serve alcohol but in a fast food setting so not the best place to hang out with a huge group unless this is your last resort. I love coming to burger town for the breakfast menu. Lunch and dinner looks great but I come for the french toast. Lol Usually i order drive thru but i had time to dine in today. I never really have issues with them. Usually they get my order right. At the speaker she repeated my order correctly so I had confidence they got it right and at the window. However when I got home I saw both burgers were plain when I asked for one plain and one with everything on it. Very disappointed, now I feel like I have to be that guy that checks every burger to make sure they got it right before leaving. Why not take it back ? I was hungry and so was my family so I wasn't going to make them wait longer just to make a fuss at the counter when I can simply just warn everyone whose reading this to double check the order before pulling off even if they repeat everything right. Today we were in this place where they make different dishes to eat that are certainly delicious. But something that caught my attention and that made me not ask for anything is that both the cooks and the cashier did not bring mouth covers and apart they were talking and laughing over the food although suddenly someone who did have mouth covers appeared. I do not understand why the manager does not require them to take it. (September 2020) Came here to pickup a meal on my birthday. I hadn't been to this establishment since high school (graduated in 2018) and was well aware of the remodel. Place looks great. Called in for a pickup and the food was ready in less than the estimated time given. I believe the guy who charged me was the owner and asked how my day was and wished me a happy birthday after I told him it was my birthday and was just picking up some food. Really nice guy and attentive it's moments like these that makes an individual return. Sorry for my first one star review but it's a long time coming . I have been going here for 30 years over a few owner changes . Back in the day the breakfast burrito was $2.50 and they has a salsa bar with chili's and the works now the burrito is 10.00 and I get it I'm not complaining about the price of the burrito. But I came in today at 9:30 on the 23rd may. Ordered $60 bucks worth of breakfast. I asked for two red and two green salsa's then the price jumped $3.00 I ask why "we only give one salsa free" really so I took my card and left. Went to Golden ox only a quarter mile down the road. I ordered the exact same order and guess what? The food was $15.00 cheaper and when I asked for 4 salsas the lady was happy to give it to me and not treat me like a criminal. Burger town the lady working the mic-counter needs to go. She is always in a rush and don't give a F. Sorry but I can't even tell you how many times in the past 30 years I have eaten there has to be in the high hundreds . Well no more. And I have a lot of family that go there . This has been my second visit to Burgertown in BP. The food, don't get me wrong is good--but the atmosphere and the service can obviously use a bit of work. I don't know how the drive thru is, but the inside dining area is very dated, somewhat dirty, and desperate for a remodel. Pretty cool locals hang (I guess?) This place is called "Burger Town" but the sole reason I would come to this place is for the Chile Cheese Fries. These fries are greasy, covered in meat in cheese. Great place for a heart attack but amazing pile goodness! I often brag to my friends "I know a place thats greesier than 'The Hat.'" Once I take them here, they are often blown away at the quality of the chili cheese fries. Otherwise, their food is a on the average side with steak thats so hard you can hammer a nail into the wall. The burgers, are okay with decent service. Wait times are often 2 to 3 minutes (clearly, it depends on what you order). Their fries are thick and hand cut giving them an authentic home made feel. Would I recommend this place to a friend? Yes I would recommend coming here only for their chili cheese fries, but if I want to have burgers, your options are best found somewhere else. read more
