George's Hamburgers is a long time & old school diner opened in 1973. The original owner George Papaspyropoulos retired in 1979 and John Kapogianis became the new owner. In 2016, John retired and Martin Romo + his siblings took over this place. This spot has a loyal customer base and I can tell most of visitors here are returned customers. [Parking]: There's a free & small designated parking lot just for this diner. [Ordering]: No drive-thru window here. I was greeted by a friendly cashier. The order took about 10 minutes. [Menu]: The most popular order is Breakfast Burrito. The breakfast menu is served from 6:30 AM to 1 PM. $0.50 for an extra side of ranch, $0.25 for an extra side of salsa, and soda refill is free for the 1st round and $0.75 for the 2nd round. They also have other options like omelettes, pancakes, French toasts, burgers, sandwiches, etc. *** Bacon breakfast burrito ($9.25): Huge portion - enough to split into two meals. The order came with a side of ranch and salsa - both tasted alright and it was one of those burritos that really need an extra ranch or salsa to enhance the flavor profile. The burrito filling had mostly hash brown. *** 3.5-star on breakfast burrito, but bump up due to friendly service and inexpensive breakfast burrito with a huge portion.

I came to George's not for the hamburgers but for the breakfast burritos. My boyfriend brought me here because I was craving a breakfast burrito, and it did not disappoint! This location has been around for a LONG time - and it shows (not in a bad way). It has a diner type feeling that transports you back in time. It is cozy and quaint. The staff here have also been around and it's definitely a local favorite. It was darling to see the locals interacting with the staff. My boyfriend and I split a sausage burrito, and in hindsight we should've ordered our own lol but it was a good amount for us to share. I felt it was proportional and not too much of anything. The wait for our food took a little bit but I didn't mind it! Overall, this may be our new favorite breakfast spot! The prices are reasonable and you can tell they pour their heart and soul to this place, the customers, and the food. Support local :)

Just updating my prior review from a year ago. Prices are slightly higher but still reasonable. Most breakfast plates are under $10. The regulars here love this place and I do too. Today I tried the Denver omelette. You get plenty of food here for $10 and the customers are super friendly too. Plenty of parking because they have their own lot.

George's HamBurgers is one of our go-to breakfast spots. The food is always delicious, fresh, and satisfying. The portions are generous and the prices are amazing for how much food you get. Great place for a solid breakfast that never disappoints.

Highly satisfying burrito! I really enjoyed the hash brown in it! However, next time I would ask for the bacon to be cooked crispy for some crunch, as the whole burrito's texture was soft & mushy. I was impressed with the salsa they provide, it had a home-made taste! While I found it a bit overpriced, it was justifiable, this burrito was HUGE! You can get 2-3 servings out of it!!! The food here is made to order so I did have to wait a while for it; keep a wait time in mind if you're concerned about timing. However, the wait will be with it!

I decided to try a breakfast burrito from this spot, and at $8, the price seemed like a great deal. However, what I received didn't quite match the photos of other burritos I had seen. I added both bacon and sausage as extra proteins, but my burrito was about 90% potato and a sliver of egg. There wasn't much flavor overall, and I ended up having to drench it in salsa just to get some taste. I didn't even finish it. On the positive side, the tortilla was grilled nicely with a bit of crispiness and the joint had a decent amount of locals dining in on a weekday and good service (they loaded up our fries after seeing us waiting). But beyond that, I don't see myself coming back for another breakfast burrito.

I met a friend there to catch up & they let us sit there for a couple hours - We were aware & made sure no one needed our table though! The oddest thing happened... a guy came in, ordered & sat down. I can only guess that he just worked out cuz, as he was waiting for his food, he put his foot up on top of the backrest of a dining chair & proceeded to massage his leg with a massage gun. Then of course did the other leg. Oh and while doing so, he played music from his iPhone very loudly, to cover up background music playing in the restaurant. -- Is this what people are doing now?

It's very standard fare at standard pricing. It gets the job done if you're hungry. I was sad to see a piece of bacon in what was supposed to be a vegetarian selection. I didn't complain because they were busy, but I do wish they'd be more careful because it had me dissecting the rest of my omelette with insecurity about the contents. On the plus side, the fruit cups have more than just melon in them: pineapple, strawberry, orange and green melon, blueberries, and blackberries. Solid mix. It was strange to me that I had to ask for jelly to go with my sourdough toast. We also had to go up to the front where you order to get water refills. Again, none of this was major... just led to a really "meh" experience. Maybe they were just having an off day? We had to wait for a table. The food doesn't come out together, so the kids were a little antsy when my husband and I each had food but they didn't. There were no coloring sheets for kids so I had them drawing on napkins on the tables with pens that I just happened to have in my purse. Food was simple and fine but not anything special. Just not in a hurry to come back to this one.

They have a good selection of American food, and I ordered chicken risotto ($24) from the "favorites" section of the menu. Portion sizes here are good, and we were very full after dinner. Service here was basic, and we got everything we needed. Friday night is also a peak time at Downtown Fullerton, so it was hard to find parking spot. However, the ambience here was relaxed. While the chicken risotto was pricy, I enjoyed the mixed flavors and large portion size. The flavor came from the caper-parmesan beurre blanc sauce. It's a slightly creamy butter sauce with mild sweetness and added flavor from white wine. The capers added a very welcome tangy and savory seasoning to the sauce; they're one of my favorite garnishes. The flavors from the breaded chicken and risotto weren't too strong. However, I would've liked the dish more with if they put less parmesan because I enjoyed the flavor from the beurre blanc sauce the most.
