I've been coming here for years and always had good food and service, I'd rather come here that some of the taco places near me.

The very definition of mid. Not bad but definitely not great. I wouldn't recommend anyone going out of their way for this but if you're in the area it's worth checking out. Price is fair, portions are fair, just very mid. I had the wet asada burrito, it was filling but lacked flavor. Girlfriend got some tacos, again, decent but nothing great, asada lacked flavor. Salsa was very watered down. All in all this place is a meh, not bad but not great. read more

The place at the end of the street where my friends live has a name and it is Brito's! We can walk here from the neighborhood and that's just what we did as this little shack is the closest thing around and after you've had a few drinks you really don't want to venture too far so Brito's it is. They have a pretty standard menu of Mexican goodies of these I was warned by my friend who goes here all the time not to order the chicken as it's just like the end pieces of gristle and just not good at all! So with that warning in my head I went for an asada burrito that I made wet with the red sauce for all the right reasons as it added a kick to a very average burrito the burrito itself had a good amount of everything you could want in it to create that kinda balance you seek when you want a burrito that has everything. The red sauce over the top was tasty and about on par with the burrito to make what was good for the night definitely something I'd consider getting again . Overall I'm sure we will come back here as it's just close not to pricy and it's Mexican food so you really can't go wrong even more so with the short walk to get here enjoy! read more

It's been over a year since I last visited. They definitely made some improvements with their food. I got the shrimp taco, couple of asada tacos and a asada burrito with all meat. The shrimp taco was pretty tasty with grilled shrimp, peppers and cheese. Asada burrito and tacos were pretty good as well. It's a pretty legit taco shop with reasonable prices. Ok, where do I start? Never knew this place existed. the building is tiny and if not for the signs, I would have missed. There's a saying "the more dangerous/ghetto the area, the better the tacos". We have the menudo, the chicken taquitos, and the carne asada fries. Food was delicious to the point I totally forgot to take photos. 2 things I didn't like though. If you order anything with meat, they still add a 50¢ charge for meat. Second, the carne asada fries were made with nacho cheese instead of the 3 blend shredded cheese. Taste great but not what I expected so it threw me off at first. But I still delicious. Hope this helps you in your munchies run! read more

Craved mexican food and decided to try out this place and support mom and pops especially during these trying times. I want to like this place but its probably one of the least places of the many mexican places I've tried. I got the chicken enchilada plate and it barely meet minimum for me. The chicken were diced and fried which is not the way I'm used to eating it. The sauce was generic and enchilada portion was small for the price i paid. The beans were totally watered down as well. Most watered down I've ever eaten. Rice was generic. My Horchata was also pretty watered down and flavorless. Coworkers got lengua burrito, denver omelette and carne asada plate. The lengua burrito was probably thr best of all 4 items we all ordered. Denver omelette is generic well, how hard is it to make a regular omelette. The carne asada was way over fried and dry. So for 1:4 items that's good and total cost us $53! I've had much better for much less. So as much as i want to support this place, I won't be returning. read more

I've been going to Brito's for about 10 years, and I can't believe I'm now writing a review! They are my late night snack go-to taqueria and sometimes breakfast as well. Love their machaca plate! However, we always, always can't get enough of their pastor nachos. MmmMmm good! The employees are always welcoming and polite and the food has never disappointed. They're always accommodating to our needs. Whenever I ask for more hot sauce, they never hesitate. Other places will either charge me or give me the dirtiest stink eye. I feel like the people who know about Brito's just know. They will always be a staple for good Mexican food. They're pretty much opened late all the time. Sometimes the business hours on Yelp doesn't reflect their actual hours. So don't be bummed out if it shows they're closed. Try calling to see if they're open. They almost always are! Let's support this business! I feel like they don't get enough love from the locals after a new taqueria opened a few years back which has horrible customer service and always inconsistent food quality and doesn't even accept cards but for some reason has a line out the door SMH Anyhow, if you ever have a late night craving, don't want to make breakfast, or in the area for lunch, go check out Brito's! read more

I always get different prices when I come here ALWAYS . They do take advantage if they see you don't speak Spanish I was charged $30 for 3 items all sandwiches no Combos . We order through Postmates all the time (we just did did tonight) We usually get their burritos especially when they're on the cheap through the app and they are so good! Service is always fast too. I can't say anything really about their actual restaurant or customer service because we have never actually been there, but everything we have ever ordered from there has been spot on and authentic. We get their posolé and it's the best I have ever had hands down. They give you such a large amount too and for only $10. Tonight we had asada tacos and pork taquitos. Again, spot on and delicious. I'm not going to lie to you, I know my tacos. I grew up in West Covina next door neighbors with the owners of the Romero tortilla company I know about good Mexican food. White girl or not I can find the good local places. If you are like me drinking any type of alcohol brings on a intense craving for greasy Mexican food. Now, I haven't had a drink in quite some time due to pain meds but my Honey likes to play pool at Bottoms up. Every once and a while I pick him up and make him repay me in delicious Brito's fair. Their meat is so well seasoned. I love taking a big ole bite of a taco and feeling the juice drip down my arm....mmmmm mmmmm mmmm. Their hot sauces are on point and even their carnitas are pretty damn good. Also they humor this little white girl who only knows enough spanish to order her food and thank them. It's a hole in the wall spot, and like Frank Y. said, "not for the faint of heart." There's lots of outside seating and a couple tables inside. I got the carne asada torta for $4.60. It took a while to come out but to me that just means it's fresh. And it was hot. It was pretty large, I couldn't finish even though I was buzzed and hungry. I took a bite of a friend's carne asada mulita, a bite of another friend's nachos, and a drink of another friend's horchata. Everything I tried was delicious. We expected this hole in the wall restaurant to be amazingly delicious, however we quickly learned I just looking at the portion size for the price we paid for this food that that was not true. Not only are the portions small but the food was blan it had absolutely no flavor. My husband ordered the carne asada fries which were smaller than any other place that we've been to for a few dollars more than theirs; the carne asada had no flavor as well as my plate which was carnitas. It was a waste of money and time I just hope that it was just the bad night for them. read more

The prices were a definite MEH, and not to mention that they have competition across the streets with the Tacos Gueros place that just opened up and is selling WAY CHEAPER tacos than Brito's (like $1.10 a taco at Tacos Gueros). If you want that hole in the concrete that doles out huge greasy portions and gives you plastic see through bags of condiments ( radish, jalapenos, carrots ) then this is the place.
