We came here after hiking at Fullerton Loop. The on-site parking lot is small and tight. Luckily, there is street parking. The cafe is spacious and clean. I like the colorful murals. Ordering is done at the counter. Food came out really fast, which was great since we were hungry. I really enjoyed my matcha green tea latte. My friend liked her Nutty Monkey waffles too. I appreciated the large portions. My Breakfast Skillet was meh. First off, they topped it with scrambled eggs when I had asked for over-easy. They fixed it by making me new eggs. The whole meal was just bland, not flavorful. In addition, they charge for salsa and Pico de gallo. Of course, I wouldn't pay, so that didn't help the dish. This seems to be a very a chill, casual place. There's parking in the back, as well as street parking. They hand you menus when you walk in & tell you it's open seating. When you're ready to order, you go to the counter to order & pay. The food was good, hazelnut latte was tasty, service was fast & pretty friendly. I met a friend there to catch up & they let us sit there for a couple hours - We were aware & made sure no one needed our table though! The oddest thing happened... a guy came in, ordered & sat down. I can only guess that he just worked out cuz, as he was waiting for his food, he put his foot up on top of the backrest of a dining chair & proceeded to massage his leg with a massage gun. I didn't complain because they were busy, but I do wish they'd be more careful because it had me dissecting the rest of my omelette with insecurity about the contents. On the plus side, the fruit cups have more than just melon in them: pineapple, strawberry, orange and green melon, blueberries, and blackberries. Solid mix. It was strange to me that I had to ask for jelly to go with my sourdough toast. We also had to go up to the front where you order to get water refills. We chose where to sit and ordered at the front, and the friendly waitresses came by occasionally to refill our coffees and waters. I have mixed feelings about the service, but the food was delicious! The first lady to take my order seemed in a rush with how fast she was taking my order, even though no one else was in line, and the other customers were already done eating. I felt a little frazzled and couldn't get my order right. After that, she was nice when bringing out our food. Later on, a younger staff member came and she was fantastic and friendly. I got the Outlaw Burger, and I was very impressed by the presentation of it. There were onion rings stacked inside, and they were really tasty. The onions were soft and delicious. The only bright spot was a young gentleman who was very helpful and courteous. The café was not busy when we arrived, but as first-time guests we had questions about menu items due to dietary considerations since we weren't sure what to order. While asking questions, the staff member assisting us and a coworker were giggling and making side comments, which made us feel uncomfortable and somewhat dismissed for simply trying to understand the menu. The interaction at the register felt unwelcoming and unprofessional at times. When things continued to feel off, I asked if there was a manager, but did not receive a response. I eventually took a business card that was available at the front. Overall, I wouldn't return. I ordered the BLTA, and my friend ordered the breakfast with one waffle. I will say this...the bummer about my order was to find out that I had to pay separately for salsa, which was almost 5 dollars for both red and green. The food was good, the bacon on my sandwich was thick and yummy. The service was very quick, kind, and attentive as well. I ended up paying about $50 with tip, which is not too bad for breakfast but I feel it could've been a little cheaper for what we got. Overall, it's a cute place, the food is tasty but nothing to get me running back too fast. Would I go there again? Sure if somebody specifically asked me to. Am I dying to go back, not so much. So much food that we couldn't finish it and needed a doggie bag. The decor inside is super cute, very airy, open with lots of seating. They also sell adorable merch to support their philanthropic efforts in helping youth that are in group homes. But I honestly didn't feel like finishing my food because I kept drowning my food with syrup to taste better. The waffles are big but felt like it was really dry.
