I love Burgermaster, my burger joint of choice these days. I have some feedback for the owner though. I noticed that most of the ladies who take the order, push for addons/fixin's, while the males listen to the order quietly. For example, my usual order is double baconmaster no lettuce no tomatoes. When I order with a male, he listens, takes the order and I pay, no drama. When a lady takes the order, she usually interrupts me at the "double baconmaster " and asks if I want onions pickles and whatever. So I have to say no, and say "no lettuce no tomatoes". She then asks again to confirm about onions and pickles etc. NOOOOOO I don't want anything more, just listen to what I want!!! Today in particular, this new lady that I never interacted with, did the same thing and made it very difficult and unpleasant. I wish the servers stopped being pushy and learned to just listen. It's probably ok to ask for extras at the end, but let the customer finish the order please. I'll keep my review 5* for now, but it bothers me so much that I might knock it down if this doesn't change, it ruins my experience. Edit 4/25/2026: okay, exactly the day after this review, I went back. A young male server takes the order, today I ordered my usual, but I did not say no lettuce no tomatoes (want the full experience today). He takes the order, smiles and asks "no no lettuce and tomatoes today?". I mean, this is service, he made me feel good and the whole interaction was pleasant and respectful. Fast food is definitely getting more and more expensive and while the burgers are solid, it's the onion rings that hit the spot for me! Delightful old school burger joint. You pull up park and wait for them to come take your order. The menu is pretty simple but the food is worth it. I had a double bacon burger with fries and onion rings. Everything was just as it should be and delicious. Rings were cooked perfectly, the burger was choice, and the bacon pulled it all together. AMAZING CLASSIC BURGERS. Classic drive in where you dine in your car. I got the burgermaster and my boyfriend got the burgermelt. The burger is so flavorful and juicy and you are able to add as many toppings as you like. Some of the fancier toppings are available for extra cost. The fries are nice and crisp and the large is perfect for two people. Service is a little slow I think we waited 15 mins. I do like the service in your car. First time here, and honestly I walked away a bit disappointed. Yelp made it sound solid with all the positive reviews, so we figured we would check it out during our family vacation. To be fair, the setup is impressive. Driving in, ordering from your car, all of that is smooth. I would give that a solid 10/10. The food came out fast too, another 10/10 there. No complaints on their efficiency. But the food itself is where things fell short. The fries were soggy, the chicken tenders were chewy, and the double bacon Burgermaster looked and tasted like it had been sitting awhile. The bun was even wet. I was starving, so I ate it, but realistically the food was about a 4/10. If I am being generous, maybe a 5/10 because hunger can make anything tolerable. I would still say try it for yourself. Maybe you will have a better experience. But this was mine. read more

I'd give them about 3 stars on taste alone (burger) but what brings this place up to a 4-star experience is the customer service and convenience (even on rainy days). The way they run their drive-up process is smooth, fast, and honestly one of my favorite parts. Burgermaster is a Seattle institution that's been serving up quality food since 1952. Trends like poodle skirts, bell bottoms, and big hair have come and gone, but Burgmaster has stayed the same. This is one of my favorite restaurants in Seattle. It's hearty burgers, crispy french fries, and frosty root beer floats are hard to beat. Their crab and swiss sandwich, with its dungeoness crab, gooey cheese, and toasts bread is one of my favorites. It goes well with an order of their crispy onion rings that never seem too greasy. The service is always good, and it has that 50's drive-in feel that everyone enjoys. It's a great stop with something for the whole family. read more

I have shockingly passed by Burgermaster for over a decade of living in Western Washington and I finally tried it today getting lunch for my coworkers. Wow. I am kind of mad at myself. This place may not have the best burger around but the fries are great. It is our family place for happy occasions . While we have been there only for lunch and dinner, I see that they now serve breakfast. That would be a new experience of having breakfast delivered to the car, where was this place when the kids were babies. The lunch/dinner menu is pretty diverse as long including fish and chips. One of my favorite things on the menu is the banana milkshakes or pineapple milk shakes. When you need a little different dining venue, this is the place. read more

I believe they cook their patties on a flattop grill. I could've used more carmelization and the flavor that comes with more char. But you can still count this as one of the thousand reasons why Great State Burger is an abomination. (and this being Bellevue and all: the douchebag factor is HIGH. The prices are reasonable enough, the drive up order experience nostalgic and convenient, but the walk up pick up service is painfully slow and inattentive. We visited this Burgermaster location on a Sunday afternoon, around 1 PM. There were still a few spots left. We ordered a Burgermaster burger, a Burger Melt, and a fish sandwich. The service was pretty friendly. Our server came by quite fast. We waited a little while for the food, but it was delicious! I think the experience is really fun. You can walk in, but we just turned our headlights on to order. We ordered the mini burger, crispy chicken, fries, and shakes (banana and oreo). I think the mini burger is similar in size to dick's, while the crispy chicken was more like a typical burger size. The fries were a little bit unevenly salted, since most of it fell to the bottom. I passed this on the way to some event and have been kind of wondering about it since! I grew up next to a Sonic so seeing this spot was so nostalgic for me, and I figured it was only a matter of time before I visited. Today is that day! We got a classic burger and a crab melt, as well as fries and onion rings. (Gotta try the set!) It took (7:03pm) minutes for the food to arrive after ordering, which I did online rather than wait for a carhop. I think the crab melt was excellent, the onion rings and fries were okay, and the burger was okay-er. The service was pretty easy-- you just have to turn on your headlights to get attention and order and whatnot. But I will say I don't think I'm personally likely to do this Drive In version again. The food was pretty drippy/oily/messy, and that was unappealing for my car. :( I'd be okay coming back with someone, and maybe more down to get the food to go or something? read more

I've heard nothing but good things about Burgermaster but wasn't prepared for how pack the place would be on a Saturday afternoon. On our visit, there were no car ports to pull into so we parked in one of the available spaces and placed our order at the walk up counter. I had asked about ordering a burger in a lettuce wrap and while they don't offer it, I was told I could get it without the bun and they could add lettuce to the bottom. In fact, he said he would add extra lettuce to make it better. So I loved that customer service with the extra attention to detail. Our food was ready in about 12 minutes and was super hot and fresh. We decided to sit at the tables in the back. Ended up being perfect because the umbrellas helped keep us out of the sun (it was hot that day!). The seating area was clean and well kept. The fries are thin and slightly crispy. So good. The onion rings have a thick layer of breading and were not our favorite. But okay. The burgers were delicious. They were cooked to perfection and were still moist and juicy. The crab sandwich was decadent without being too rich and held up to all my expectations. Definitely will get again. In honor of National Cheeseburger Day I decided to roll back the clock and head to Burgermaster. First off the food. Good solid burger, top notch fast food fries, and an outstanding peanut butter/butterfinger milkshake. Just exactly what I wanted. What really made the experience 5 stars was the service. My server, Tomas, was efficient, friendly, and very helpful with a couple of key menu suggestions. I wanted to make sure no onions on my burger, and he alternately suggested adding pickles (which I generally load on a burger at home). When I ordered a peanut butter shake he suggested the addition of the crumbled butterfinger, which turned out to be spot on. Including the tip my meal came to $20, about par for the course for the Seattle area. I never understand how people can complain about the cost of a meal when each item has the price printed right on the menu. read more

i'd give this place 4.5 stars if yelp allowed it. this was my first time trying burgermaster and i love their system of leaving headlights on for service! we got the classic burgers with grilled onions which was delicious. the fries reminded me of mcdonald's fries so i enjoyed those as well. the chocolate shake i got was pretty good and almost like a frozen chocolate milk, but i was sad there was no whipped cream on the small size! we got an order of chicken and chips to share and the portion size was hugeee. the chicken was nice and crispy but also moist on the inside. docked a point for overall price, as some menu items are kind of expensive. i'd definitely come back and i loved this vibe of dining!! read more
