Yeah this isn't it for us. Keep hearing people saying we got to try it. Butttttt The only TWO thing good about it is 1. Very affordable ($5-ish for deluxe) 2. It opens till late. Other than that; i cant say anything good about it. We got plain cheese burger, the deluxe, special, and fries. Soggy fries; but i actually dont mind it; if you like your fries crispy; forget about it. The burgers? Bland; not even a hint of salt or anything; the sauce/pickles in the deluxe make it more bareable to eat. The staff? Bunch of highschooler looking kids; saw a couple of them that being very hospitable while helping other customer; while the one helping us was more concern about his conversation w/ the other coworkers rather than focusing taking our orders (i guess its given that we had to ask about the burger that got missed in our bag) . But whatever. You get what you paid for; and the price is their driving point for sure. I get it when people said it tastes nostalgic; and nothing is wrong with that. I've been trying various locations of Dicks for 30 years. Stopped in to fill a craving and realized that while it may not have changed, my expectations have. The prices are in line with RedMill and In&Out but the quality lags. Not being able to delete mayo leaves the cheeseburger as the only option and it is just average at best. Fries are perennially limp. At least the orders come out quickly. After 30 years I'd rather head to the other options. read more

It's no secret that Dick's Drive in is a locals favorite so I decided to give this place a try. Walking up to order food feels a bit iconic and the service is fast and friendly. You can see them cook and prepare the food through the large glass windows and it's pretty cool to see. There is no place to sit down and eat but there are some counter space at the sides where you can just stand and eat if you want. Deluxe Burger - (3/5) The good: The bun is soft and tastes fresh and the sauce is creamy and not too overwhelming. The bad: The 2 beef patties it comes with is dry, crumbly and overcooked and doesn't taste fresh to me. I understand that they are famous for non frozen beef and the overall flavor is decent, but I didn't walk away satisfied. I ordered onions on the side, because it didn't come with any and these onions were packed in a little container and without any spoon, there was any way for me to use it unless I bang it against the counter and it all came piling out at once. These onions did not seem fresh either, since they had no crisp and life to it and so bland that it didn't taste like onions at all. Fries - (2/5) I heard that Dick's fries were soggy and I lowered my expectations and kept an open mind. Sadly, that didn't help with appealing to my taste buds. The fries just seems sad, wilted and oily and just didn't satisfy my craving for some fries. Vanila Milkshake - (3/5) One thing I liked about this shake is that it's not overly sweet and doesn't taste artificial, however, it's very thick and doesn't have that fluffy, refreshing milk taste that I expect. Had to parallel park for side street parking. Paid $2 an hour and it was for such mid restaurant. Genuinely disappointing because there really are no chairs for you to sit on. Must stand to eat on limited tables. Must line up outside to order, which goes by quick and the service is indeed quicker...but the food was not worth the title of a "classic Seattle restaurant" as it tasted like any other burger restaurant. Pricing was a little over $10 for this original burger and a chocolate milkshake, but no sides or condiments given...not even available outside to grab on your own, so you have to remember to ask the workers to prepare that for you. At least there is a comic book shop and park nearby to eat at and browse through while you wait or want toddies your food, but this food was not worth the drive. read more

People ride or die for Dick's. And I get it, it's a Seattle staple. The affordability of Dick's makes it an easy option. The service is always fast and friendly. The line will move fast and customer service is always good. It's a no thrills menu and you can't make any changes to anything. What they have listed is your option with no modifications. The deluxe or special are a no go for. Tartar sauce on burger is just a no thanks for me. The fries are always limp and soft. But they taste alright. I just like my fries with more crispiness to it. I am a sucker for their old school ice cream. A "sundae" is really just ice cream with a topping. But the vanilla ice cream with butterscotch is just top tier for me. Sweet and salty and satisfying. I went here with friends after a meal nearby since we all wanted to get something sweet - in this case, we wanted their milkshakes. This particular location of Dick's is located close to Crossroads Mall, Regal Crossroads and Nan Hot Pot, and therefore shares parking with the mall itself, so you won't ever have to worry about finding it if you're going here. You order up at the front and the orders come out fairly fast for it being a fast-food like joint. Theres no seating outside so you would have to eat standing up or at your car. The three of us each got their vanilla milkshake, and there's not much to say about this since it's very standard and consistency was pretty good. I've had their burgers before during one of their 19-cent promotions before, and they're quite small but a lot better than other fast-food places like McDonald's and Burger King. Not a place I'd default to, but it is a place that every Seattleite - visiting or not - should try at least once regardless. read more

I love Dicks! There is nothing like ordering a big back of Dicks and sitting on the curb or the bed of a truck and stuffing your face. Definitely the best local fast food burger chain in the northwest. The service is always quick and accurate. I loke this location, its one of the newest and is real close to a food court/mall if you want to eat inside. I don't live near any Dick's, but I have a reoccurring dream where they announce that they are taking over Burgerville (which is overrated and way too expensive for what you get) and I I eat there every day! read more

This is MY trashy fast food restaurant! Love their fries, although their quality is inconsistent. As with any restaurant, going when they're aren't busy will give you better chances at getting better quality because the workers actually have time to ensure it's edible. When the fries are done well, oh, they are done WELL. Love them. I usually get two orders of fries (for reference, two fries equates to about one large fries at McDonalds, at least, that's how I perceive it), sometimes three if I'm a little hangry. My Cali relatives + friend compared it to IN-n-OUT, which yeah, makes sense. I don't really care for IN-n-OUT, but that's the general vibe the place has aside from the fact that there is no dining area. Most people just eat in their cars and honestly, the vibe is perfect. Now, there used to be car shows hosted in that parking lot but I think law enforcement cracked down on it (they're good at their jobs twice a year, and they used it up on this; sure I guess) and now the vibe is more digestible and you're not surrounded by a bunch of teens cackling at their friend ordering "uhhh can I get DICKS plain burger hhehehh", litter everywhere, and constant revving that was surely tormenting the local senior housing next door. I hope all the workers are paid and treated well, they were there for me when I was up at night studying and needed some greasy food. Sending them love! read more

Like any Dicks they are busy may have a min or two in like. I ordered Dicks Deluxe fries and two tartar sauce. Burger hot and fresh as well as their fries. These fries are cut in house. Not in some factory in Indiana precooked and then recooked. Since they are cooked from raw potatoes they are a little whimpy but cooked throughout. Perfect balance of salt. One thing I noticed changed is the tartar sauce packaging now definitely from some distribution centre. The taste and texture was little more manufactured that it was. Your thoughts? Crossroads location had their $.19 burgers 1/29/25 along with two other locations...on a rotating basis with all of their locations this week. It's one per person for $.19 then you pay the regular price for your remaining order. No GrubHub orders for this deal- in person only. But how can you beat this deal as a throw back to "the good old days"!!! The prices only apply to their plain hamburger and plain cheeseburger but c'mon what a steal!!! We literally worked out at PF then walked to get our $.19 burgers! We ordered a total of four plain cheeseburgers and two plain hamburgers plus three fries. Total was under $22... then given the option of supporting the American Red Cross and LA fire victims by rounding up our order from $21.47 to $22... yes please. I was craving a simple burger late at night, and this place did the job. I got two Cheeseburgers and two orders of fries and my bf got two of the Dick's Deluxe and an order of fries. We wanted shakes, but they only had chocolate, which was the flavor that neither of us wanted. So, we got a scoop of cookies and cream ice cream to share. I ordered sides of onions to put on my cheeseburgers. They were very satisfying and my bf loved and devoured his burgers. Came here for the first time and while the line moves fast and prices aren't high, the burgers leave much to be desired. The patties are thin and the bread to meat ratio is way off. Also if you ask for onions, they don't even put them on the burger for you; they just give you a tiny plastic container and you have to open it and get onion juice on your hands because they don't have utensils. This is the 1st time we have ever been to a Dick's restaurant. Their business model is to serve a basic burger quickly so they do not do custom orders. So as long as you are okay with that, it is great for a simple, smallish burger with a fairly small patty. They do use their own secret sauce which most people love. You can basically opt for cheese or no cheese. If they screw up your order, they are pretty good at making up for it with Dick's coupons which go towards your next purchase. They do not have any gluten-free options. It is a simple walk-up window with some small counter space to stand and eat at. No chairs. Always clean. Basic burger. In and out quickly. Low price. Putting 'Fast' into the term Fast Food: Dick's is a local hamburger institution in Seattle with a focused menu, having a cult-like following for folks who grew up in the area, but a bewildering 'meh' for out-of-towners and transplants who can't understand what the fuss is about. My wife and I had to try it for the first time during our 4th visit to Bellevue, even with the warning not to expect too much. Both of us like McDonald's and In-Out, so have a nice basis to compare it to...Verdict: we liked the burgers and fries. As everyone knows, everything is prepared beforehand and is sitting under heat lamps. It is a Drive-in (vs a Drive Thru), so you need to place your order on foot, and the same order taker will grab your food, come back, and then you pay, all under a minute. Thus you can ONLY order what is already prepared, just like pizza slices. I got the Dick's deluxe, which is two 1/8 lb fresh (never frozen) beef patties with lettuce (not allowed to get extra) and a combo of ingredients (mayo, pickle relish) that actually makes it taste like tartar sauce as the condiment. The chopped lettuce was wilted because of the heat....the taste actually reminded me of a Filet-o-Fish sandwich if the fish was replaced by beef. The bread is the white bread from your childhood, and infinitely squishable, with the cheese tasting like processed cheese spread. Put it all together compacted, and put under a heat lamp...result is a meld of different ingredients that strangely is tasty together. It does help that the beef is of quality, but note it's only 1/8 of a pound so not particularly juicy. The fries remind me of the homemade fries served at hot dog carts and shops across the midwest. It probably resembles the fries at Five Guys and is definitely better than In-Out Fries. But ketchup is extra (0.20), which is the first time I've seen that at any restaurant in the U.S. Most of the fries were crispy and went well with the burger. There is no seating here, so you would either eat it in your car or just find a place to sit down and eat outside, hobo-style. This is not good food, but I understand how it could be a source of regional pride, because it is unique (similar to how White Castle sliders are admired). No, I won't be having this again, but there is something to be said for a well executed vision of a process that is clearly articulated...there is no fooling here, and in this day and age, it's very refreshing. read more

I've been meaning to get a burger from Dick's for years, but every time I've gone by a Dick's location, the line is out the door. I had some time during the day today and finally got to a Dick's outside of lunch and dinner times. Well, the burger was inexpensive, but not that great. The taste was okay, but the whole thing was a bit soggy. The fries also tasted decent, but were also soggy. I'd go back in a pinch, but wouldn't make a special trip back to get a Dick's burger. For a great inexpensive burger, In-N-Out Burger is still where it's at. Unfortunately, there's no In-N-Out's north of Oregon. read more
