After all the karaoke fun next door, we stopped in at Burgermeister because we had worked up an appetite from all the singing and laughing. It wasn't too packed so we were able to relax a little. It's casual and comfortable here. Good soft lighting too. My daughter ordered the Meltdown Burger, which she loved plus their Sweet Potato fries. I ordered the Chicken Wings 5 pieces. Located in Brickell next door to Sweet Caroline's Karaoke, we walked up to this spot and were seated right away around the 8pm on a Friday night. It was our last night in Miami and we pretty much hit all the spots we wanted to go to on our list. So of all options in the area that were walkable, we settled with Burgermeister because the SO was craving a vegan burger. I didn't really have any expectations but it was way better than I expected. We walked in and were seated fairly quickly, but the service itself was a little on the slower side but it's not as bad as it sounds. They had to wipe down our table and clean it up after we were seated. Our server was good but we ended up having to flag down our server whenever we needed something (which, when flagged he was prompt). The atmosphere was more slightly upscale sports bar with TVs all around and 80s and 90s music playing pop hits, more on the rock side. The menu was full of delicious sounding options. I ordered the El Vato burger, Yuca Steak Fries, and Tostones because, well, why not go all out? The Yuca Steak Fries were...fine. There was nothing bad about them but I think they're not as memorable because the other items I ordered were. The El Vato burger, slapped! I normally have mixed feelings about very large burgers where it ends up being a fork and knife, but this worked for me. Super juicy, packed with flavor, and put together like someone actually cared. The guac, pico de gallo, and everything really just worked. And the tostones? Lowkey the unsung heroes of the meal. Perfectly cooked, beautiful, and satisfying. I used to always pass by here when I went to Sweet Caroline and never tried there food. Clearly I was missing out! The portions and quality of food are well worth the price! I built my own burger and it was juicy and tasteful! My boyfriend got the mushroom and bacon burger, which he says was one of the best burgers he's had! It was stacked so high and had so many delicious ingredients, I was blown away. I have to admit I was expecting more like the Spanish Patatas bravas, but it was just regular fries with a mayo/ketchup type sauce on the side. Very solid burger, very burger, big toasty buns, but also very hard to eat due to size. You'll need at least 25 napkins for this puppy but it is worth it! Pro tip - I'm a saucy guy so I get extra sauce on the side which might be why I need so many napkins but go for their house made BM sauce if you like the Big Mac type of sauce. Otherwise, I'd go for their Chimi Mayo. Service - I have only ever ordered to go but they always have been very nice taking my order and attending to me promptly at the door and bar. Not to mention the server completely messed up my order. And when I say slow I watch 3 different people come in after us who ordered at the bar to go and received their food before us. Really wanted a burger and most places were closing so decided to give this a try finally via a pickup order placed online. Vibes are good and I liked the interior. I was eager to dig in and noticed they unfortunately included a ton of mayo but no ketchup (which I asked for - mayo I had not included in the online order options). I came in after work around 5pm and the restaurant was pretty quiet. The interior was decorated for Halloween which was so fun, and overall, it was spacious and clean. I ordered the BM Truffle burger and bravas fries. The burger is certainly worth the money, it's two patties + eggs and bacon and it was HUGE. It caught my eye because I love truffle and when it came out I was stunned by how massive it was. I could barely make a dent! I also got it with a side of bravas fries which were very well seasoned and had some spice. It came with bravas sauce and overall, the side gets a 5/5 from me. The burger was also delicious, and I brought the rest home for my partner and it traveled well! The only thing I have to say is that the service was a bit slow. Mark the server is THE best!! My friends and I went and tried Burgermeister for the first time and one thing- we love sauces. Mark never once winced at our sauce requests and even let us know they are all house made. We tried the sweet potato fries (my friend hates sweet potato fries, but loved these), iceberg wedge, and Smokehouse burger. The wedge was amazing and filled with bacon and toppings, we swapped the blue cheese for their delicious Caesar.
