This is a 3.5 star review for me. First off staff is very nice. I have tried Wildwich before when they were a food truck and really enjoyed it. We ordered a few items to try and I just thought the price point for what you get is pretty expensive. We ordered: The cheesy crabby fries (not enough cheese and would have liked more meat), regular cheesy fries, The country smash cheese burger, the gospel cheese burger and the kids hot dog. My husband also got their sweet ice tea which was pretty good. The smash burgers had good seasoning but were a bit salty for my liking. It was also alittle burnt on the edges. My kid's hotdog was tasty for sure but not worth the amount we paid ($6-8?). My husband enjoyed his burger atleast but said the quality of the meat was lacking. He also saw the owner of the establishment yelling at his employees so the 'niceness' towards the customers seems to be an act. I read the other Yelp reviews here saying how they dont take dietary restrictions (gluten free) seriously which is sad. Good but not worth the money paid for this food. read more

I wanted to try a new burger spot, so I took a chance on Wildwich. So glad I did! I ended up just getting the single cheese burger with the fixings- that "awesome sauce" did NOT disappoint- and an order of fries. It was banging! "Simple", but divine! The smash burger was cooked to perfection! I also got a side of their "drunken bacon jam", because I was curious. Absolutely delicious. Happy that we have lots leftover to use on our breakfast sandwiches for the morning. I personally thought that the portions were super appropriate for the price. My belly is fully and happy, and I will most certainly be ordering again from Wildwich. Looking forward to trying more on the menu! read more

Yesterday was our first time eating here, and the only regret I have is not having gone sooner! The food was delicious and reaonably priced. The guy working was very friendly and all four of us really enjoyed our lunches. (Very rare; usually there is one outlier!) Looking forward to going again soon. We have been at Nemours hospital for 7 weeks and since I have Celiac disease we asked for the burger to be lettuce wrapped since I can't have the buns. The OWNER today refused to give extra piece of lettuce amd was absolutely hateful to my daughter for requesting this. What is wrong with people in Delaware not offering what we call protein style burgers back home which is just the hamburger wrapped in lettuce. Beware celiacs and GF sensitive people this owner definitely doesn't care. read more

Had trouble finding them because social media showed them in a different location for the Friday I went, but a quick call got me right through, and the young woman was very kind to offer apologies and direct us to her location. Solid 4 stars on their smashed burgers! I'd read a local article about their burgers and wanted to sample! They are very tasty, with a number of free toppings and sauces. The smashed patties are quite thin, so I recommend getting a double to get your meat on. Fries were batter-dipped, which I really dislike, so that was a negative for me. I'm surprised they don't do hand cut; it would really go better with the burgers. The toppings were fresh, crispy veggies, flavorful sauces, and fresh rolls. Meat was crisp and savory, nice flavor. Staff was friendly. Took c-card and called people over when orders were done. It took about 10min with 1 party ahead of me. They had big chocolate chip cookies for dessert, and other menu items on the photo I provided. read more

I was excited to finally make it to the brick and mortar version of Burgers by Wildwich! I would drop at the truck anytime it was around so I kind of new whet to expect. The restaurant did not disappoint. It is clean and new and the staff are very helpful. The proprietor was behind the counter and was very happy to explain all the options. He is a great ambassador for the restaurant. I got a double cheese burger with his own burger sauce and onion Fritz and a side of fries. Both were amazing. I am not typically a fan of smash burgers but I will Wildwich is my exception, and their fries are amazing. I had a great experience and look to return often! read more

Recently had a work event catered by WiLDWiCH and had a wonderful experience overall. It was easy to place an order by phone and we ordered a variety of sandwiches for 20+ people as well as one of their Caesar salads. The food arrived exactly on time, delivered by the owner himself. He brought the descriptions of the sandwiches and took the time to point out which sandwiches were which. When he realized a few sandwiches were accidentally left off of the order, he quickly offered to adjust the total bill or make a trip back with the extra sandwiches. They don't settle the bill until after the delivery in order to make sure the customer is happy --- but we absolutely were. Overall, we spent less than $10 per person and had food leftover. The sandwich platter included: - The T Rex --- sliced steak with horseradish spread, loaded up with onion straws - The American --- standard turkey BLT - The Roman --- fresh mozzarella, tomato, and basil - The Saigon --- salmon banh mi with fresh pickled vegetables I tried a half of the Roman (who can pass up fresh mozzarella?) and the Saigon (I love salmon, and I love banh mi, so duh!) --- both were phenomenal and I could see myself ordering either of them again. The salad was also fresh and came in a very large portion, especially for the price. The rest of my co-workers kept commenting how wonderful the food was and how they wanted to go visit the actual restaurant --- I've never heard so many good comments after we've ordered lunch. The only thing I don't like? The café is only open for breakfast and lunch on the weekdays, which clashes with my work hours, so it'll be far too long before I get to eat there again. read more

Their menu literally states they are built on 4 basic principles: 1) .....food made from scratch - not eggs 2).... impeccable service - failed to live up to principles 3) they are fast - valid 4).... great variety...... none, requested regular butter and they only had honey butter and would not make an exception and use a shell egg due to health need. Lastly....."WE ARE HAPPY TO ANSWER ANY AND ALL QUESTIONS ABOUT EVERYTHING WE PREPARE AND CAN MAKE CHANGES TO ITEMS TO KEEP WITHIN YOUR NEEDS...... They do not live up to their principles. First time, asked for shrimp to be well done, not see through/said okay and didn't. Second time, asked for regular butter on the side for sandwich and were advised okay, no problem... only to receive a sandwich with "honey butter" on it. I should have known it was going to be wrong when I heard the guy in the kitchen saying "no" to the person calling out orders when she specifically said "regular butter"... Third and last time, wanted a sunrise sandwich with a shell egg, box and carton liquid eggs bother my stomach and advised the manager. She said I'll check with the chef and only to come back with, we can't fry an egg for you even though it was a special request to fit my SPECIAL NEED. This place is amazin, the food, service and look is better than anything I've ever been to. I just stopped by the truck parked at the Volkswagen dealership to take my car in and grabbed a bit, was life changing! I had to wait on my car and got some pretty bad personal news and was sitting a little bit away from the truck and I was crying pretty hard for a while, until one of the workers came over and gave me a strawberry lemonad. the kindness he gave me just completely changed my day, even maybe my week. WildWich in downtown Wilmington is a great place. Don't let the a-typical coffee shop vibe fool you. Yes you can get your fix for a cup of joe in the morning but it doesn't stop there. Behind the helm running the show is Mike. With Mike and his staff in the kitchen they send out excelent food. Wether it's custom freshly made breakfast sandwiches in the morning. Tasty soups, salads, and sandwiches in the afternoon. And even burger Friday! It's always nice to see the smiling faces at WildWich because their food puts one on mine. Had breakfast there the other day and took some cookies to go! The Grits with Cajun Seasoning were AMAZING and that is the first time I have actually had grits! The cookies were right out of the oven and were delicious! I heard they team up with a local ice cream place to make ice cream sandwiches with them! I better find where that is! I fell in love with this place and their jollymon rice bowl a couple weeks ago, but my experience today left me somewhat disappointed. The attached pictures show just some of the pineapple core pieces that I either had to spit out or pick through in my dish. Totally not what I want to do while trying to enjoy my meal. Called to let the store know and was only met with a "well, okay, thanks for letting us know". Not even the slightest offer of trying to fix the issue. Visited the food truck last Thursday at Midnight oil Brewery in Newark for lunch, and it did not disappoint. I purchased the "T-Rex," (cold steak) sandwich and hands down the best cold steak sandwich I've ever had. The chef even told me as I was walking away that this would be the best one I've ever had. However, a bit on the pricey side in my opinion. $11 is a bit much for a smaller sandwich at a lunchtime based sandwich shop that doesn't even include chips and a pickle. Also got the Beef chili which came in a small soup to-go container for $6.50! I am used to chili actually having MEAT in it. Maybe I accidentally received veggie chili? Still, a sausage lunch place on Lancaster has homemade chili for half the price. Sandwhich and chili plus grubhub delivery costs was about $25. Good variety of sandwiches. Usually 4 options per day, on a rotating basis. If I liked their rolls better I would have gone with 4 stars (my 3 stars is a high 3). A little too bready for my liking and there isn't a whole wheat or multigrain or similar option. Nice people running it. read more
