We were really happy to learn that Casapullas has a Hockessin location. We arrived at about 1:30pm on a Saturday. We ordered for two of us to eat there and two to go. They were really backed up yet the young lady working the register was very friendly. The cheesesteaks were delicious. We did wait about 25 minutes for the steaks to eat at the location. The dining area is large but there are no condiments or napkins on the tables and no one really seems to eat there. We had to ask for condiments and napkins. In hindsight, we should have had the to go order placed after the in-restaurant meal. The to-go steaks were just not as good because they were not hot. The microwave could not restore them to their previous glory. Observations- The grill needs to be double the size and somehow can the temp be increased? Four people were working the grill and we could hear complaints that it wasn't hot enough for the approximately 30 steaks on the grill. Also, it would be helpful to have numbers or an organization system for the many pick-up orders. There seemed to be a lot of confusion surrounding the pick-up orders. For example, there was a guy named Nick with an order and two other Nick orders. Maybe use last name? All told, Casapulas still beats Capriottis!

Unfortunately, the experience didn't live up to the reputation. We ordered Philly cheesesteaks, and while I was ready to taste something iconic, what I got was a black pepper overload. The seasoning completely overpowered the meat, which was disappointing. Even worse, the bread-to-meat ratio was way off. My roll was soggy, and no amount of mayonnaise or ketchup could save it. We also ordered onion rings and chicken tenders for our toddler. The onion rings were fried to the point of being rock hard. Not crispy, just tough. The chicken tenders were dry and flavorless. Our toddler ate some and said they were "good," but even she didn't want the leftovers the next day and neither did we. Hubby said to be fair, the staff was sweet and very accommodating, which we appreciated. However great service can't cover up subpar food. Sadly, High Steaks missed the mark for us, and in a city known for doing cheesesteaks right, that's a big letdown.

They were stale, cold. Not freshly cooked. The wings were large but the garlic sauce was bland tasting nothing really special. The burger was awesome. You'll be looking for Maxi's Bar which is located next door and connected via an inside door between the two businesses. I found parking across the street, which was metered! The staff inside was very friendly and helpful. They were passionate about the food and you could tell by the way they described everything to me. The owner was sitting at a table chatting with a couple of old veterans. He was nice and very appreciative for my business. They had a TV inside with the midday news on. The menu had a lot to choose from (burgers, steak sandwiches, chicken, roast beef and meatballs to name a few, but I wanted to see what "THE PORK BOSS" theme on the menu's was all about. I ordered the Hot Hooker at $13.75 - Smoked Hot links (think foot long hot dogs), topped with House pulled pork, mild provolone & bacon, topped with Ghost Pepper BBQ sauce. The sandwich was huge. The bread was fresh, pulled pork was a tad dry, but the bbq sauce made up for it. I would have asked for sharper provolone, but I'm not sure if they had it. The bacon was crispy and the hot links provided a nice kick, but lacked the smoke I was looking for. If they make that BBQ sauce homemade and available for purchase I would be a buyer. Overall it was a huge meaty meal of a 'wich and it held together really well! If I'm in the area I'll return for a second round. The menu is well rounded and the staff knows how to put together a sandwich!

I ordered three pizzas: Upside down, White & Pepperoni. Ordered three sandwiches: One chicken steak, two beef steak. Wings: two orders. For starters we loved the wings - crispy and meaty and not at all greasy. The pizzas were also a hit. The thin crispy crust was great and cooked just right. All of them were delicious but our favorite was the pepperoni. The cheesesteaks - wow!! Seriously the BEST cheesesteaks in town. You can taste the cheese in every single bite. The sandwiches were loaded with chicken or beef and the seeded roll was fresh. The only thing that could have been better? The pizza temperature. Oddly, when we arrived home (about 10 minutes later), the pizzas weren't hot? The wings and the cheesesteaks were both perfect. Ordering and pick up was a breeze. The staff were friendly and the food was very good. Our only regret is that we haven't tried this place sooner! We will definitely be back. Hopefully the pizza will be hot.

Place was pretty cool inside, old school vibes with the flooring, wall posters, and even video games. Had to wait about twenty minutes for a table for three, not a big deal, as it was a Friday night and somewhat expected. Prices were a little high, but not crazy. Service was good, food came out fairly quickly. Ordered a couple of pizzas, steak sandwich and fries. Round pizza was decent. Detroit was underwhelming, and was really hard to eat. It was very difficult to get off of the screen, very sloppy, not a lot of crisp-was really hoping for a better pie. Steak sandwich was fine-roll was decent, meat was seasoned, but didn't really set itself apart. I will say the bar area had a really good vibe, and I could maybe see myself returning for a couple of drinks and maybe some apps. Wish I could give a three and a half, but unfortunately it didn't really earn a four for me.
