Shoutout to the staff here as they were very accommodating. I messed up my order - accidentally chose chilli fries with a shake on my order when I meant to click poutine and shake. Upon picking up they went over my order and I said I ordered poutine. I checked my receipt, realized I had made the mistake and let them know. Without hesitation they said they would make me my poutine, no problem. In less than a minute I got a poutine and complimentary chilli fries. That was so nice and even when it was my fault, they made sure I was happy with my meal. I appreciate it alot and will definitely choose this joint the next time I'm craving poutine (which btw is the best poutine ever!). The high priest is delicious and the hot n honey chicken sandwich is decent - a bit too sweet for me but I can see the appeal. Overall, get your crave on here. read more

Happy to see that there is an out post of this restaurant on the Danforth. And there is some seating in there so you don't actually have to take it out or sit just at a small counter like the location on Queen Street. Make no mistake we still went to the Queen Street location frequently as we just love their burgers. Was happy to see that this location offered all the same wonderful favorites that we've been used to and enjoyed over the years. We had the cheeseburger with fried onions and hubby had a milkshake and we shared an order of fries. Always tasty, and will be back. Not great yesterday. Hard dry thin scrimpy patties and an excess of salt. I do not recommend this location. Looks like a cash grab store with no focus on quality or value. Paid about $13 for a simple double cheeseburger. The standard toppings were actually OK, very fresh . There was no beef flavor or aroma, and unfortunately salt dominated every bite. The Queen E at Coxwell or Queen W at Gladstone location serves them up a little juicier, and the Burgers Priest store in Barrie is amazing by comparison. I don't know what the Danforth store is doing or what they are charging people money for. If they care for any advice, friends please don't fry the living %^*~ out of patties or over salt them, this is gross, you need a balance of texture flavor and seasoning. Yeah, this place blows. I ordered two of the low priest burgers: They completely forgot the cheese, which is supposed to be standard, and virtually no onion, despite specifically noting in the "special notes" section: "Only ketchup, onions, and cheese". Considering that this place is supposed to be a gourmet burger place - or at least they certainly market themselves as such - it was completely disappointing to receive zero cheese and virtually no onion despite those being 2 out of the only 3 ingredients I asked for. I was expecting a big hunk of cheese and a large scoop of onions, for the high price they charge. I was NOT expecting: No cheese and 3 microscopic diced onions. So, essentially what I got was - a meat patty with ketchup. That's it. Not at all what I asked for. AWESOME! Thanks. Thankfully, UberEats refunded my money. Burgers were great, as expected. The topping s were fresh and plentiful, the ingredients used to create these masterpieces are the finest! There are many great choices, made it hard to choose one. A week ago I sent the following message to Burgers Priest via their web site. I have not yet received a reply. One more strike against them. -------------------------- Just had a very disappointing experience with your (new?) 507 DANFORTH Avenue operation. BTW, you need to add Danforth to your list of locations on the Contact page et al. Also, why doesn't the on-line menu have prices? Very frustrating. It feels like your hiding something. Curious as to whether I might be able to get a burger cooked the way I like it I called the store to ask. I like my burgers cooked medium to medium-rare. I do NOT like them well done. And before you claim that health regulations dictate how it should be cooked may I suggest you look it up? The law was changed (repealed actually) a year or two ago. It no longer exists. And if you claim it's just a safer way to cook it that tells me you have no confidence in your product to start with. Anyway, the gentleman who answered he phone seemed reluctant to provide any specific answers. He asked his manager who muttered something about your grill system. In the end he promised that I could have one not well done. He lied. And please don't say he made a one-time mistake. Your order page specifically states "Order our food here, any way you want it". Ordered from this location recently. I was very disappointed. I ordered the Pope burger which comes with a deep fried portobello mushroom stuffed with cheese. First of all, I got my burger with a $5 coupon off ritual, so price is not as much as a factor in this review (use https://invite.ritual.co/ANA8641 for $5 off and support my coffee fund :') I got the priest, which was still like, $6 after tax after coupon, so probably not a good idea for anyone sticking to a budget. The priest is a cheeseburger w/ the option (fried mushroom stuffed w/ cheese) on top. As other yelpers have pointed out, the mushroom is a bit too thin and therefore can't really be tasted. It's fried so that is not overly greasy, and oozing out mozzarella. The cheese is fine and the burger patty is good as well, though could be a bit more juicy. Overall, not a bad burger. read more

I have always ordered "the Priest" with the portobello mushroom topping. It was a rich and delicious burger made with quality ingredients. This was my first visit to this location (especially the young lady on cash) was genuinely friendly and helpful. If I had any feedback it would be to improve the fries to a crispier and tastier version (this has been an issue for the chain overall, not the fault of this location); They have improved their fries, but they is still more room to better match the fantastic burgers.
