Stopped for a meal last night at the Patio off Rosedale where the Burgersfield truck was located. It's basically a food truck park where different food trucks will set-up every night. The menu was straightforward and reminded me of In-n-Out. I ordered a double smash burger combo with cheddar and came out pretty fast! The fries were thinner than expected and had a good crunch to them. The burger was standard and was something I would eat again, but wouldn't actively go out and crave. Parking in this area is in the dirt, and had plenty of space around 5pm. There was some music playing for the area and there is plenty of seating especially for groups of 2-6. This place was bomb!!! Tried their burger the traditional way with American cheese. Perfectly melted cheese, off but crunchy patties. I honestly don't think there's another smash burger spot in Bakersfield and this delivers! Their smash'n fries are like In n Out minus the terrible fries. These fries are so much better. One thing they did differently was have some bigger cuts of grilled onions in the mix instead of just minced. It was a pleasant surprise! Fernando the owner was amazing. Family run business and you can feel the passion. It was close to closing time when I visited and this guy was still full of energy. Top notch smash burger's everything is fresh never frozen. Waited about 30mins cause they were busy but definitely worth the wait. Located in the parking lot right next to Green acres liquor store. Limited amount of seating so make sure you get there early or you're tailgating. They do phone orders as well if you wanna got that route. A friend told me about this place. He wasn't sure of the hours or days of operation, but he said I had to try it. I did a little research and found that info and enlisted my foodie partner in crime to join me. The red truck was easy to find...in the Pappy's parking lot on Rosedale, next to the liquor store. We parked and walked up. Sign pointed us to where we needed to order. We waited in the line, listened to the good music (No Parking on the Dance Floor by Midnight Star) and decided what to order. I went with the single patty combo with American cheese. Combo includes fries and a soda in a can or a bottle of water. My friend ordered the double patty combo with sharp cheddar. There are two tables with chairs next to the trailer. We sat and waited for our order. The wafting burger smells made me a little impatient, but fully with the wait. The burgers were perfectly smashed on a nice soft bun and had just the right amount of sauce and grilled onions. I loved the melty, gooeyness of the American cheese on mine, but the stringy cheese pull of the cheddar on my friend's burger was impressive. The fries were so fresh! Thin, crispy, soft, salty. Very cool! Interesting hours, but we just happened to hear about this place when it was opened. I believe their hours are Thursday to Sunday 1-9? Burger flavor was INCREDIBLE. Their sauce is BOMB!!!! They don't have ranch, but that sauce didn't make me miss that at all. Please note that their burgers are not large. Been seeing so many post about this food truck. I am burger fanatic. Especially when it comes to Smash burgers. My wife, and I chose to get 2 double smash cheeseburger combos. What was served to me was nothing like what I saw in the pictures on social media. My fries were extremely oily. The meat that was served to me was extremely over cooked which gave the meat a crispy texture. Every bite I took was a crunch which came from the over cooked smash Pattie. $37 for 2 double cheese burger combos was a bit over pricy, and the portion was very small. I wish I had pictures to show what I got, my wife didn't even finish half her burger. We ended up tossing our food in the trash can, and headed to Freddie's to make up for what was served to us. read more

Just one thing tho and that is the sauce reminds me of in n out special sauce but i think contains more pickle juice or something. Personally I was a big fan but my gf was not ( she works at in n out lmfao). The server was fast and recommended everything perfectly and the time to wait wasn't bad either considering they made it fresh! Given that it is summer, that have set up canopies and other stalls have as well so plenty of seating for big parties. The Smash Burger are super fresh and are a decent size and cooked perfectly. We got the combo which comes with fresh cut fries and a can soda or bottled water, My only complaint would be the fries. They had a great flavor but were a little on the limp side. They would be much better if they were a little more crunchy. Kind of need to be blanched and then a 2nd fry to get that crunchiness. Walked up to the truck and was immediately greeted by staff, they were super welcoming and helpful. The food didn't take too long to come out, standard for anything cooked fresh. I could immediately tell these were fresh fries, I would describe them as what everyone wished in-n-out fries were. The texture of the fries had a nice crisp outside but soft potato inside. I got the single cheeseburger, next time I would get the double just because smash burgers do have a thinner patty. But the meat was cooked perfectly, and the bun was so soft. Went to their new location where they have more parking spaces and tables and chairs and luckily it was the perfect weather to sit outside. Off the bat everything looked delicious. Started off with the passion fries. I was already low key full with just that honestly. The fries had the best texture I have ever had on a fry. I couldn't believe it?! I went in on the burger and requested extra pickles. You can immediately taste some spiciness from the peppers which had the right amount of kick to it. After watching two families eat and several people come up and order, get their bags of food and leave. So after 50 minutes I got back inline with others and when I got to the window I just asked for my money back as I have been waiting for about an hour and was immediately called a "Liar". I just wanted my money back to go elsewhere. They passed my 12 dollars(one double cheeseburger) through the window with a slam and told me to never come back again and don't even honk when you drive by. After discovering this place, I had to show my wife, so went there twice in a week. It's a very simple menu. Singles, doubles, and fries, like In-N-Out, but including smash fries. These are like In-N-Out animal style fries, with dressing, cheese, and onions, but so much better, especially as the fries stay good for several minutes, unlike that other place. As my wife is gluten intolerant, they made her a salad style burger, no bun, and it was a hit! They only have canned soda, as it's a food truck. I just grab a fountain drink elsewhere first. Last week, they moved from just off Verdugo to east of Coffee, on Rosedale, and are now among a group of food trucks. This is just about across Rosedale from the old Famous Dave's, by Lowes and AMPM.
