It is that time of year! The Walla Walla sweet onion rings are back! These are the only reason I ever stop at Burgerville. Today with my onion rings I got a Walla Walla burger to go with it. Quite honestly, it wasn't very good. It seems like it was cooked way ahead of time and stuck in a warmer and all the steam made the bun mushy and wet as well as it just being a mess to hold. The flavor wasn't that great either. But the onion rings all the wall style slam dunk every time. Love them. read more

This used to be my go-to place when I needed an easy meal. For about the last year or so, though, I haven't gotten an order that was correct. They have consistently left off toppings, especially when I try to get something without a bun (but not only then ) More than once, I have tried to get the seasonal special, and opened it to find just a burger patty. If that's what I wanted, I could have saved a lot of money and just got the basic burger. I don't know what the problem is there, whether they are understaffed or what, but it has been really disappointing. read more

I've been living in Thailand for the last three years. I was sitting in my hotel room, wondering what I would eat in Portland Oregon tonight. And I thought a black force cherry shake and a large french fry from Burgerville would be perfect upon arriving to Burgerville, I discovered they no longer make the black forest cherry shake, which is understandable. So I ordered the chocolate hazelnut shake their shakes used to be thick to where you could dip your fries in them, now they're soft enough it'll it'll pour out of the cup, but thick enough not to go through the tiny straw they give you. The french fries used to be skinny and soft, many times I said Burgerville has the best french fries. Now they're hard and borderline burnt. I don't really know what to say about the service, my total came to $10.78. I handed her a 20 and a one dollar bill, she wanted to give me the one dollar bill back because she couldn't do the math, although she has a machine in front of her to give me back a $10 bill and $.22 . The south facing window sills were covered in flies. I didn't notice until I had already ordered my food and went to sit down. When I told them, all they said was "we are working on it." I couldn't finish my meal and wouldn't let my son finish his. We honestly should have just left right away and asked for a refund. I sat there and sat there and then watched the pickup I would have been behind drive out of the line. The guy at the drive-through referred to me as sir. And the woman who took my ordered what size of burger basket I wanted I told her I wasn't sure what she was asking then proceeded to ask the same exact question as if the second time it would make sense. I told her I've asked for a cheese burger backet in the past, and she then said we have regular and large ( not listed on the menu) with a sort of bored and somewhat inpatient tone. I asked why she didn't she just ask if I wanted a regular or large one. It is best to skip this place and go to another location or brand. read more

Absolute horrible experience. Was craving Walla Walla Sweet onion rings so decided to buy some for my Mom who was turning 79 today. They are her favorite. Got them home and they were a burnt pile of mush. Absolutely disgusting. So I call the store and get a hold of the manager who is totally rude and irritated that I called. He says ya they are all like that because they are pre made and frozen now. So apparently Serving sub car sloppy food is the norm. I went up and got a refund no customer service skills whatsoever. I showed him the onion rings and said is that really how they all are? He said yup that's how they all are. I'll attach a picture it's absolutely disgusting. Nice little retro burgerville. Staff was nice. Food was delicious. We really came for the strawberry shakes. Nothing beats the shakes!

Their teeny tiny original hamburger is basically $4 now. That's insane for the size and how thin the patty is.. also it obviously comes with nothing but the paper thin patty and sauce, my kids need two of them to feel like they ate.. so $8 for 2 tiny burgers that has nothing but buns you can say, rip off to the max.. I'll stick to Red Robin and get a decent hamburger and fries along with it for couple bucks more. Also they now want a tip for taking your order? I don't understand, it's fast food. No one is serving customers here, I'm even filling up my own drink... tip is for your service... like refilling your drinks, bringing you something else you might need..... regardless that was my last trip to BV sadly. Always loved eating here but too many down sides at this point. Way too expensive these days for the thinnest Pattie's in town and now they want a tip. Also not very clean I felt gross eating there. Clean, great local food at reasonable prices. Love the rosemary fries, sweet potato fries, turkey burger, Tillamook cheeseburger, seasonal shakes. Our family loves how they give back to the community and are progressive with using local products and recycle as much as possible. Wish their fish was cheaper but it is delicious! read more

If I really feel the need for fast food, I don't even bother with the competition. It costs more; just go less often. At this store, I have made special requests (e.g. cook the fries extra long) that they honor which I appreciate. My husband just got home from a 16 hour day at work. All the poor guy wanted was a milkshake and some fries. Was told that they're not serving milkshakes anymore because they washed their machine. I asked if they had any other desserts available, but was told that they "just sold them all to someone". This would be more understandable were it 5 minutes before closing, but 40 minutes before?? Since there were already cars behind me I just decided to go with the fries I had already ordered. When I received them, they tasted like they weren't cooked all the way. As I waited at the window to be greeted and to pay, i observed employees waiting around behind the counter with seemingly nothing to do. As a GM with 5 years in the QSR industry, I understand that there are certain things that must be done to shut a restaurant down for the night. However, I also understand that customer satisfaction should always be the priority, and having all of the products available for purchase is part of that. Perhaps the closing routine could be moved around a little to take advantage of the closing staff who are standing around waiting to close so that all of the menu items are available until closing? read more

What happened to this place? Locked bathrooms with syringe disposal bins....classy. Bathrooms with no soap, no paper towels so you can't actually wash your hands before eating and after using the restroom. Expensive food and then being asked if I want to tip? Are you kidding? It's fast food where employees make dang near $15 an hour and have unionized and receive decent health insurance. Why would I pay 15% more for my meal? Because you handed it to me and said thank you? Just apologize for the mistake, and say I'm sorry for the inconvenience, Ma'am. It's not that hard, rather than trying to place the blame on me. That's how to make a customer feel invalidated. I very rarely complain, but she was so rude to me. That's not how you get tips. Honestly, a free 25 cent glass of water, and some respect, would've been all it took to make me happy - I am not hard to please! The last five times that I've been to this Burgerville the inside has been closed even though they have a giant sign saying come in we're open. It also has taken over 35 minutes for me to get my food in the drive-through every single time. I love burgerville but any way you slice it 40 minutes is too long to wait for food. Especially since there usually isn't that many people in the drive-thru. Not a big deal if it's once in a while but for them to consistently take that long for the last couple months is ridiculous. read more

If they would just train their staff in customer service they would get 5/5 because the food is great. Even with their ridiculously high prices. I'd honestly say that when I've had a bad experience at a fast food place 80% of the time it's been at a Burgerville. Just the most recent example: Guy in the drive thru made me BACK OUT OF THE DRIVE THRU. He said to come inside to get my mobile order "LIKE YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO" So, every other fast food place lets you do either or but I have to walk in and wait around? The worker complained/justified making me walk in and wait because the mobile order wasn't ready and I said "Yes. And by the time I'd gotten up to the window (with 2 cars in front of me) then it would be ready." If I'd had my kids in the car there's no way I'd want to drag them out of the car to pick up an order. That's the point of mobile ordering to make it convenient. They need to take a note from Starbucks. You can do either. The other employee did apologize for his rudeness and she was very nice. Also, they didn't give me lemon with my fish. Of course. Sloooooooow drive thru!!!! Spent over 10 minutes waiting and there were only 2 cars in front of us (and they has both already ordered when we pulled in). Yes, the food was hot and tasted ok, but, it was sloppy and they didn't follow basic instructions/requests. Call me crazy, but, I like the cheese ON my burger, not 1/3 on and 2/3 off. The sauce was mostly on the wrapper and top/side of the bun (and we ordered light sauce to avoid a mess--ha!). Not fun with little kids. Definitely not the typical Burgerville experience, but, sadly, not abnormal for this location. read more

Service Improvement!!! I had an awesome experience at Burgerville today! The drive thru guy was nice and patient with me as I was super distracted and changed my order multiple times, and FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER they were efficient and moving people along at a normal drive thru pace. I have been here many times and it is normally the slowest, worst Burgerville experience. I don't know what changes they made, but it was truly pleasant today and I hope they keep it up! read more
