Great food and service. It's a little expensive but the taste is worth it. Not the best neighborhood but that's not their fault.

I passed thru Centralia on Sunday and after years of boycotting BV due to a huge drop in consistent quality, I decided to give it another chance.

However, my afternoon excursion into Downtown this Saturday was so thoroughly delightful that I felt an absolute duty to share my experience for my premier review. The central district was beautifully bustling for the weekend, yet the establishment maintained an air of effortless hospitality. The staff members were remarkably friendly a quality I find immensely pleasing. I escorted myself to an excellent, highly comfortable seat to survey the room. The waitress promptly presented a refreshing beverage, and we engaged in a brief, lovely conversation. She was entirely charming and attentive. While the menu's selections were somewhat more conservative in scale than I had initially anticipated, it was perfectly curated with solid, classic options. For my luncheon, I selected the Portland Burger. The kitchen executed the order with commendable timing, presenting the dish precisely thirteen minutes later. The presentation was grand an impressively large, substantial burger composed of a beautifully toasted bun, premium meat, and impeccably prepared onion rings. The entire experience was an absolute treat. I am thoroughly enamored with this exciting Downtown find and shall most certainly be returning

This was an incredible introduction to the Portland food scene, delivering some of the best…read moresandwiches I've ever had. Between the genuinely friendly hospitality and the flavor combinations, this spot hits it out of the park and is a must for sandwich lovers. Griddled Mortadella (5/5): An incredibly delicious sandwich that perfectly balances rich, salty, and savory flavors. It comes loaded with a generous portion of grilled mortadella and melted provolone cheese, perfectly moistened with a tangy mustard aioli. The fresh lettuce and bell peppers added a satisfying crunch to every bite. Chefwich - K-Town Steak Sandwich (5/5): A limited-time creation packed into a banh mi roll. It had a generous portion of perfectly tender and sweet bulgogi steak that pairs with their melted jack cheese. The gochujang mayo sauce had a subtle and sweet heat, while the fresh kimchi added crunch and slight acidity to balance the rich meat. Elote Tater Tots (5/5): Definitely a creative side dish. The tots were perfectly fried and topped elote style with cotija cheese, pairing well with the smoky chipotle mayo on the side. Logistics Tip: Street parking is surprisingly easy to find in the surrounding area, even on a busy weekend evening. The restaurant has a spacious layout with plenty of seating options both inside and outside. If you're a first-timer, don't hesitate to ask the staff for suggestions, as they're exceptionally warm, welcoming, and passionate about the menu.

We walked down here on a beautiful day after wedding deletes shopping, so spirits were high. Located on a busy corner, but with plenty of outdoor seating, Lardo is a good place to have lunch on a Saturday. I have nothing to say about the parking sitch. My daughter and I shared the Willamette Reuben and her friend ordered the Italian Flag. We shared the Lardo fries. Oh man, the Reuben was perfection! The flavor of the meat and everything on the sandwich, from texture to flavor--chef's kiss! We heard that the Italian Flag was excellent too. Definitely, you can share a sandwich especially if you're having fries. The fries were delicious--crispy and flavorful on the outside, perfectly hot and mushy on the inside. Yum!

The water is serve yourself which I actually prefer. There wasn't a ton of seating on the cashier level but there is more seating upstairs which we did not visit to take a look at. There's also plenty of seating outside and covered tent seating. It took about 12-15 minutes for the food to be served which was ideal. I also tried the sellwood and I have to say, both are really tasty. IMO. This BBQ is Kansas City style, so the sauce is a bit sweeter. We got the brisket, the chicken wings, and sides. We couldn't decide if on the sauce for the wings, so we got all 3 on the side. The Alabama white sauce was A+ The brisket was perfectly tender. It had great flavor and marbling. The wings are full wings with the drummette attached. That's the way to do it! They are smoked and then fried. They got the crisp just right. Let's talk about sides! We got the collard greens, coleslaw, and baked beans. They were all FANTASTIC! The coleslaw is a vinegar coleslaw, which I love. It wasn't the sweet mayonnaise style that most people don't enjoy. It was so good! The collard greens were perfectly flavored and tender! I couldn't have done better myself. The beans were sweet but also savory. Not super sweet, which makes me happy. Very well balanced. The server was super friendly and nice. She explained everything to us and made sure we were happy. They have a bar with various beers. There is indoor and outdoor seating. Very casual but perfect for BBQ. Highly recommend you try this spot!

Why are they serving food on a plastic tray with a piece of waxed paper? Why am I paying $70 for two people to eat lunch, and they can't even give us plates? Also- I know that rolls of non-absorbent paper on the table is quaint, but it's tacky and wastes more paper than an actual NAPKIN- the kind offered to adults at dine-in restaurants. I got the small Smasher without pickles and with grilled onions and split small fries with my sister. The burger came to the table with pickles but easy to remove on my own. The flavor of the burger was delicious after a long day of walking. The ingredients tasted very fresh. The fries were a good thickness and had a beer battered taste. I love that there's a ketchup bottle for you at the table. You can also grab ketchup packets and other sauces near the fountain drink station. The towel roll at the tables was great. Didn't have to get up and get napkins. The food arrived within 10 minutes of seating. Water cups are available. If you're feeling adventurous you can try the Peanut Butter Pickle Bacon burger. There's two restroom stalls. One of them needed to be cleaned but the employee at the counter was kind enough to warn me. Code is needed to enter the restrooms. There's a changing station, manual flush toilet, automatic towel dispenser, and changing station. The employees were chill and seemed to have a good relationship with each other.
