    Bacon Cheeseburger Combo

So far the best burgers for the money on the east side of Portland. $17.50 for two burgers with bacon, cheese, tomato, onion and lettuce, and a good sized piece of meat! Left this space for no apparent reason. ...............................................! With the burger you got fries and a coke. Service was fast considering every this is cooked fresh. Everything appeared to be clean including the floor, mmmmnot sticky as it is in most burger joints. The city has seen fit to take all the on street parking for bike lanes, so you park at your own peril in their lot. By the way I never saw a bike on Division or the side street. No wonder small businesses are closing all over Portland.

I visited Cruisers based on a recommendation and had high hopes. The moment you walk in, it's clear they're aiming for a 50s or 60s diner vibe, but unfortunately, it just doesn't quite hit the mark. My sister ordered a cheeseburger and was satisfied with her meal. However, my friend's hotdog looked like it had been put through a washing machine and then hung to dry in the Sahara desert. He had to drown it in mustard, which he doesn't even like, just to make it edible. I had a double cheeseburger with curly fries. My bun was burnt, and the patties were dripping, but not in a good way. The overall experience was disappointing; honestly, I would have preferred to eat at McDonald's. Not a great experience at all.

Affordable diner with vegetarian options! Great service and the portions are huge. Cute little diner ambiance, would 100% come back.

Okay..so my 4 stars are pretty generous as I'm mostly blinded by nostalgia and if you're not then you're going to see Cruisers as more of a 2 star kind of place, but hear me out: The vibes are unbeatable here. You've got a classic diner & mile high soft serve with the flavor swirls..where else can you find this around here? I grew up going here and now take my kids when we're in the area because I'm just so happy it's here. Now to be straight up..the food is terrible. Like actually..I'd compare it to stadium food but specifically the most low budget stadium you could think of. Think frozen fries & plastic cheese. So if you want my tip: don't go when you're hungry..save Cruisers for your after dinner treat where you go here to sit back under the neon & enjoy the ice cream!

For us this is definitely a fried food joint that also has burgers. The burgers are juicy and decent portion, but lacked in toppings. It's hard to mess up fried foods much. The chicken tenders are thin and crispy and the cheese bites nice and melty. Poppers, mushrooms, fish - it's all fried decently. The biggest appeal is that it's decent food and you get what you expect, but the prices are way better than most places. It's not that their sizes are smaller either, just better prices. So if you're looking for some reasonably priced greasy food you should consider this place.

I ordered a club sandwich food DoorDash. The sandwich came on Wonder bread untoasted crammed into a tiny little plastic container. Once removing it, it completely fell apart and was a complete mess covered in mayonnaise. The only way to eat this sandwich was to put it in a blender and drink it. They have no idea what a club sandwich is. I threw it in the trash.

I'm honestly surprised I haven't tried this place sooner! We were pleasantly surprised when drove by and it was mostly empty. So we figured today was the day to go sit and try it. By burger was excellent. I had the jalapeno bacon burger. The bacon wasn't well done but I just pulled it off. No biggie. The burger was well done and the tots too. Just like I like em. My husband said his mushroom burger was also very tasty. We didn't have dessert because we were stuffed but the kid next to us had a banana split and oh my goodness it looked heavenly. Next time!!

That being said, I eat here occasionally and would enjoy coming back. I would appreciate better service, yes. And a shorter wait time. Especially when people that ordered after me are getting their order first. This is a busy location. They have at least 8 people working here. Only one is at the front register. And this person is not very attentive or customer service oriented in my experience. They now have a system of ordering whereby you can order on an app, a touch screen inside the restaurant, at the drive through or at the counter, and there are couriers picking up food for those who must not, or cannot leave the house. So they use a large printed number system on your receipt ticket. There is also a screen showing which order number is being served currently and which numbers are being prepared. Helpful, yes, but only if the numbers are actually used effectively does the customer benefit. Every other number I saw on that screen was called out as the order was presented. When my number was on the now serving side, I did not hear a number called, nor did anyone acknowledge that there was an order ready to go. I waited...I waited....I waited.... no number called, no "your order is ready," no eye contact. Finally, when no one came to the counter to call the number, and the register worker was free, I approached to ask about my order. "Oh, it's here," she said (bag sitting on counter, unattended), "I said Big Mac and fries." I'm thinking: Um, really? Because that is not my number, and I'm certain you did not say a word about it, because I did not see or hear anything from you. McDonald's seriously, if you are going to use a number system, be consistent. It's confusing enough with your billboard video menu, don't make things harder than they need to be for the customer, you know, the peo whose business you count on.

The person teaching seemed like he had a passion for the craft of assembling and making the sandwich. But needless to say, he did, because it was pretty fire in my opinion. The beef was delicious! Very well seasoned and accompanied by the onions and swiss cheese, the sandwich was to die for! The peppers worked extremely well, and the roll that they used was super soft and toasted as well. The presentation of the sandwich was simple, but you're able to peer directly in and see all the ingredients inside the sandwich. We went straight to the counter & ordered Tacos, but instead of $1.50 it's $1.75. We didn't know what their regular price was. For us, it was way out of our way, to drive here 148th & SE Stark, for we were heading to Jantzen Beach for an errand, from around the Roseway Neighborhood. The guy at the counter, didn't seem to understand what I was talking about, he keep looking at the other guy for answers or to translate, or ? We ordered 5 tacos, to go. The tortilla was handmade, the lemon was cut so big, it was hard to get any juice out of them. I thought, the el pastor was like any other food carts. Do we want sauce? Yes. He gave us two types, hot & hotter, but none was mild, which I liked. (He didn't ask). There are enough napkins to go, mostly from wiping our fingers from the messy-hard to squeeze lime juice. (My tip: cut into thick slices, but cut off the ends, then cut them into halves. Hope that helps. It should be squeeze with 2-3 fingers, not 10). Anyway, here trying to help them out. And we did!
