Stopped in while visiting Pittsburgh, but unfortunately, it didn't quite hit the spot. I'm not sure if the air conditioning was out, but it was very warm inside, we were literally sweating while eating! The burgers were decent, but the buns could really use an upgrade. A brioche bun would've made a the burger 10X better. Overall, nothing really stood out. That said, the service was great, and the layout of the restaurant was cool. It just wasn't our top pick.

A group of six of us went here after a quick stroll through Lawrenceville, and it was a mistake. The sign at the entryway said "seat yourself," so we began moving two small tables together. A server immediately reprimanded us for doing so, then told there was a bigger table in the back. One of the girls went to pull up a chair to the end of the table, and the same server got an attitude with her. The same server interrupted us and said "123, eyes on me," to take our orders, and it was obvious that it wasn't a joke. One member of our party specifically asked if the kids grilled cheese had the same cheese combination as the adult one, and our server said yes. This is an important detail. The food came out relatively quickly, and it was good, but nothing remarkable. However, the member of our party who ordered the grilled cheese immediately noticed that it was just a Kraft single and not the same cheese blend as the adult sandwich. The server acted severely inconvenienced when she asked to send the sandwich back. I am so, so disappointed in the service we received. None of us had been here before so we were excited to try something new, but we were all let down. I think it's safe to say that none of us will be back.

Great food, service, and beers! I had the Morningside burger. It was excellent. I like that it had an egg, bacon, and mayo. I had the Wainwright and Deutschtown Pils beers. Very good! Also, great service from Kelly. You gotta go!

Came here after walking on the trail over the weekend! The indoor was closed for a private event, and we weren't sure we would be comfortable outside since it was a hot day. The shaded pergolas were great and they had music playing on the patio! The service was great with a little outdoor window to order at! We got the polish hill burger and a specialty burger. The shoe string fries were very good! The burger patties were smashed and crispy, I think the patty could have been more flavorful but the overall burger was good. and I'd definitely recommend the mojo sauce. They had about 8 beers on tap, and it seemed like there was something for everyone.

I got the Oakland burger this time. But honestly I wanted to order multiple because I was having a hard time deciding. It was so good. I can't wait to go back and try another or make my own. Our waiter was super nice. And it wasn't super busy we went on a weekend night. Sat down right away. Also easily found parking on the street.

Our server, Lauren was on her first shift at Burgh'ers and she was cracking us up the whole time with funny jokes and quips! She made our experience so much better. The burger was awesome - I was starving so I got a triple and it was exactly what I needed. Best part about the extra patties is that they give you an additional piece of cheese on each patty - pro move. If getting a triple, I would recommend asking for extra sauce on the burger. Fries were also really good. The restaurant is an industrial vibe, nothing crazy, but overall a good time.

Casual smash burger joint in Lower Lawrenceville. The food was delicious -- the themed burgers were fun, and the Polish Hill burger was very tasty. They had a variety of seasonal beers on tap, and everyone in my group who tried one was happy with theirs. The portions are very filling! We all ended up getting the mini smash (single patty) vs the full smash (double), and between all of the toppings that come on the burger and the pile of delicious rosemary fries on the side, even the guys were full after that. This Burgher can't wait to go back and try their other burgers :0)

The atmosphere was OK, the burger was good, the beer was best. Those metal chairs and bar stools may be easy to maintain but they are not comfortable and on a cold evening...they are cold. I built my own burger and I enjoyed it-chili, cheddar, bacon, and jalapeño. The pretzel app was very good. I had 4 different beers and they were all excellent. Our server, Steven, was attentive and did a good job. The fries were great!

Service was fabulous! I can't remember out waitresses name but she was very attentive and had a great personality. Food came out speedy fast. I felt that the food was a little expensive for it just being burgers and fries. Our meal came out to be $80 when we only got a draft beer and water to drink... Ambiance is very casual. Don't have to dress up. Overall it was a good burger and so were the sides, but the meal felt overpriced. Burger reminded me a lot of five guys.

Great GF experience here! Dedicated GF fryer for fries which were awesome. Also had a chili cheese dog (no bun) as an appetizer. Cheese sauce (also awesome) was GF. All around 10/10 experience. Server was super knowledgeable and helpful!

So many burgers, beer, and good vibes. I ordered the mini smash Oakland with fries. My husband ordered the Korean fries chicken with fries and a side order of mac n cheese. We had an array of beers. Everything was amazing. If you go, be sure to ask for Jen. She was our bartender and she's the best.

My personal opinion is that a brewery that also serves food is either good at the beer or the food, never both. With that said, the beer was average, but the food was delicious! Great burgers and fries and the app was flavorful as well! Service was quick and the restaurant was a modern bar vibe. We throughly enjoyed our experience, and will be back for the smash burgers!

It was good! Last time we were here, we were a little drunk so the food definitely hit different! Everything still tasted good. I got a burger this time and subbed the cheese which was no extra cost! The smash burger was really good! My fiancé enjoyed his Korean fried chicken sandwich too. Their shoestring fries are better than I remembered! Our server was kind and attentive, and I spilled a cup of water and she kindly cleaned it up. Great, chill spot to eat and chat and I appreciate it's not too loud!

My girl friends and I came after four years of me wanting to come here. I love Gravel Grinder and live close to an OTB so heard of Dancing Gnome from that. Finally made our way there and well, make sure you do not bring young kids. My friend had an 18 month old with us and as she was BUYING a beer from them, the guy who worked there asked if she "could keep the screaming to a minimum." An eighteen month old!!! And Mother's Day is tomorrow, nice. He said that they had to draw a line somewhere and he wasn't kidding. The 18 month old was not running around screaming crying all day. We were outside having the kids play and when my friend was buying a beer he got a bit fussy and was told to keep it to a minimum. Needless to say, we will NOT be coming back. If you have small children, I would not suggest this place. Super disappointing. I've always hyped their beer and place up and now I can't support it. We ended up going to Grist House and it was a WAY better vibe and WAY busier...I wonder why. I should have known when their sign said no dogs allowed.

We did get them well done and I'm glad we did because it did make them crunchy here although they still weren't all that crunchy. The dry rub was actually really good, but it was a little bit like eating Cheetos as when you took your fingers away they were covered in orange powder. My husband tried their wheat ale - the easy golden. It was okay, but a little hop forward for him. They did have a arsenal cider on tap so I chose that for my beverage.

So have you seen that meme out on the InterT00bZ that's like "Hey let's go to that new beer place…read morethey have $27 warm hazy IPAs in the middle of a parking lot?" Yeah, that's the vibe I was getting at Velum. There was a lot to like and a lot to not like about this place, so I'll start with the bad and end on a positive note. First off, it's in an old brewery and it looks like a warehouse. I'm not sure if they still brew their own beers but it straight up looks like an old warehouse. I've seen abandoned warehouses that look less like a warehouse than Velum. Maybe some people like that vibe but I felt like the cops were going to bust in and shut the party down like a teen coming-of-age movie. The taproom is all the way in the back, and so are the bathrooms, so if you break the magic circle, prepare to get your steps in. There's no kitchen. They DO partner with a food truck but they're getting their own review. I paid $10 for an average cocktail and $8 for a 12 oz cider that frankly wasn't that great. Either better drinks or bigger drinks, please. And everything is community seating. I don't hate the idea but I didn't care for the vibe so when I found a smaller table my friend and I grabbed it and boarded it. With that being said, there was a lot to like too. First off, we were there for a pinball night, and they have a great selection of pinball tables there, both classic and modern. I really would have liked information on joining a pinball league, but that wasn't offered anywhere that I could find. Plus on that particular night it was $10 for all-you-can-play, so we definitely got our money's worth there. The staff that I did interact with were super nice. That goes a long way and saved this from being a worse review. And the place is dog friendly, which is always a huge plus for me. All in all, I had a decent night. But the question as always is if I'll go back. Unfortunately, probably not of my own accord. If there's another pinball event, I'll definitely go, but it's not going into my rotation of cool spots. Not every place is meant for me, and that's fine.
