    Korean BBQ Fried Cauliflower

This is a break brewery in the South Hills. People working here were friendly and service overall was pretty fast. I loved the variety of vegetarian options on the menu too! The Koran bbq flavored cauliflower was made very well!!!

The menu has changed since our last visit and seemed both more affordable and more varied, which was great. The kids menu still is pricy though, with all meals being $10, and the kids ravioli doesn't have a side; our toddler left hungry. All four adults in our party enjoyed our meals. Service was attentive and friendly. Overall it was a much better experience than the last two times we've visited.

Was really happy this spot opened back up, with a different name. The layout and everything seems to have stayed the same. There are definitely some improvements and new options on the menu, which was nice to see. My wife and I started off splitting the fried cauliflower. It was very good, however the same with Mindful, they don't toss them in the buffalo sauce. They just serve it on the side. For our meal we had the buffalo chicken pizza. I thought this was delicious. It has so much flavor and is topped with buffalo chicken dip, ranch, red onion, and chicken pieces. Despite the heavy toppings, it was still super crisp. You can tell they use good fresh dough. They also have very good house made ranch. Will definitely stop back!

Mushroom Swiss smash burger and fries

A great date spot in Castle Shannon, PA! Glad I finally checked this place out. I was a little nervous about how quickly I'd get my food when I stopped in on a Friday night and the place was full. To my surprise, it was only 15 minutes after I placed my order. I ordered the Mushroom Swiss smash burger and it was worth it. The burger was huge. The beef was flavorful and there was plenty of Swiss cheese. There were plenty of mushrooms but not a lot of bacon. I also asked for a side of ranch. The fries were very crispy with the right amount of seasoning. I didn't order any drinks, but they had an extensive draft menu. The service was very good once the waitress was able to make her way to my table. She checked on me quite a bit, keeping my water full. She was very friendly. It was Happy Hour still, so the drink prices were good. I would say burgers pushing $20 are on the more expensive side, but they are good. On a scale of 1-5: Food - 5 Service - 4.5 Price - 3.5

Went here for brunch, the spot was nice and open. The service was nice and friendly! I got the oh Canada and my date got the chicken and waffles! They were both really good. Would recommend to anyone

I was very impressed with Chimera. There is a very nice seating area outside and a well lit open dining area inside. From the time we entered till the time we left, everyone we saw working there seemed to be in a great mood and truly enjoyed working there. The menu was on QR code. This made ordering easy. I enjoyed one of their smash burgers and my wife had a chicken sandwich. Both were delicious. We also had the cheese curds. They come with a tasty dipping sauce. The beer selection was good too. I went with a flight, glad I did. I enjoyed all four. I am looking forward to trying out their outdoor seating area when the weather is better. I hope you give them a try.

We came for happy hour the other day and were able to bring the pup (huge bonus) if we sat outside. The weather was really nice and the drinks were yummy. The real standout were the nachos though. Great deal for how much food it was - we ended up not needing dinner!

Chimera Smash burger with regular fries

I'm always a little leery about how the food will be at a place that seems to be "beer first," but I got the Chimera Smash burger and thought it was great. Had a tasty black pepper mustard aioli. Even the bun seemed like the perfect choice for this burger. Both the regular and sweet potato fries were good. We had the churro pretzels for dessert. They were pretty solid and came with caramel and chocolate dipping sauces. We probably should've added ice cream to moisten them up a bit more. The place is huge with a cool atmosphere all around. There's outdoor picnic table seating with large umbrellas and a couple of fire pits. We sat upstairs in a bar area to listen to some live music, which is always a welcome find. Prior to the entertainment starting, they had garage doors open to provide some open air. Service was great.

This place was fine... we came for brunch and I think that they need to hone in on their beer and food menu. What we got was average, but it all needed an extra something whether it was seasoning, a sauce, a flair, literally anything. The beer was not for me, but I can appreciate the variation and effort. This is a fine choice since we were in the area, but I wouldn't be rushing back. Staff were friendly and they have a big space.

Met my daughter, son and daughter in law for drinks and dinner! I had the Nashville hot chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries and a Chimera Perpetual Flow IPA! I loved my food and everyone enjoyed their meals and beer! Service from the bartender was very good !

    Sangria

Food was tasty. Service was meh. Ambiance was relaxed. Not our first time here but it was the first time we've had inattentive service. Maybe they were short staffed the day we went? The hot wings are flavored with habanero sauce. The Philly pizza was yummy. The taco bowl was good. (Rice needed more flavor). The only cocktail available the day we visited was a "sangria" with lemoncello. The beer selection was varied. Last time we also had the cauliflower bites which were also good. They are dog friendly on the outdoors patio area. More seating space available upstairs as well.

Because of the type building it is - lots of metal, tall ceilings it very loud. The food was ok but nothing special.

My girl friends and I came after four years of me wanting to come here. I love Gravel Grinder and live close to an OTB so heard of Dancing Gnome from that. Finally made our way there and well, make sure you do not bring young kids. My friend had an 18 month old with us and as she was BUYING a beer from them, the guy who worked there asked if she "could keep the screaming to a minimum." An eighteen month old!!! And Mother's Day is tomorrow, nice. He said that they had to draw a line somewhere and he wasn't kidding. The 18 month old was not running around screaming crying all day. We were outside having the kids play and when my friend was buying a beer he got a bit fussy and was told to keep it to a minimum. Needless to say, we will NOT be coming back. If you have small children, I would not suggest this place. Super disappointing. I've always hyped their beer and place up and now I can't support it. We ended up going to Grist House and it was a WAY better vibe and WAY busier...I wonder why. I should have known when their sign said no dogs allowed.

This is part of the Hazelwood Brew House complex, which means there's enough space that things don't seem too loud or too over-full. I went on a Saturday afternoon and absolutely enjoyed the beer. There are food options available in the same facility, but they are offered separately from any of the breweries. As best as I can tell, parking is all on the street, but it wasn't hard to find a reasonable spot right out back. In terms of service, I have no complaints. It doesn't take much to keep an eye on the level of my pint glass while I do some reading, but the bar tender felt responsive, asked if I wanted another just moments before I finished my first pint. I didn't get the impression that the she was a beer nerd, but she was absolutely very helpful and attentive. In any case, I highly recommend checking out the whole complex.

Super friendly and you can sample the beers - they even encourage you to sample before deciding on a pour. We each tasted a few then ordered a flight of three: El Hefe Esta Loco (my favorite), East Coast Haze (his favorite out of all 3 breweries today) and Blonde Ambition. The beers were all refreshing and flavorful. I also tasted the confluence (a must try in Pittsburgh) and it's great if you are looking for a lighter beer.
