If you want to sit at a bar, this is not the right place for you. This is like a Hoffbrau Hause had a baby with a coffee shop that serves some really yummy takes on Germanic food. As a Milwaukee boy, I really miss German food on the East Coast. And, I miss German style beer too. Everything out here has to be an IPA to sell. This place had great beer available. Service is European style. You order at the front station and pay the. They bring it out to your table. I had a curry wurst that was really good. And I have had them in Berlin. This was good stuff. A place I never knew of I was taken here one night for dinner. It is a place where you can look at the menu and then sit down waiting for the order to arrive. It is simple and plan. Nothing fancy. As it was, there were not many tables taken at that time yet. But within 30 minutes the place packed up. It was locals who know this is a the place to go, grab a beer or cocktail, then sit down and wait to see what you ordered. Burgundian is a meal to enjoy while having conversations with many others. We started with the IPA beers we ordered. They also had good German beers to select. There are even other European beers available. The list is endless to have. First up to arrive was our Traditional Canadian Poutine. This is House Fries served with Cheddar Cheese Curds, hot beef gravy and fresh scallions. This can be a meal unto itself and is ideal with the beer. We also received a kids meal for a little one. It was chicken fingers and fries. It was so large an adult could have had this for dinner. There was enough left for the next day's lunch. It was fresh, tasty, breaded, and warm. Ideal. There was also Burgundian App Sampler Platter. This was a mix of 2 Arancini, 2 Halloumi Cheese Sticks, 2 Crispy Polenta "Fries" , 2 Wings served with a choice of dips. Again, it could have been a dinner, but with others it was a good dish to share while waiting for the dinner to arrive. We started with US Staycation Burger, switching the beef with chicken. It had melty Three Cheese Blend, Shredded Lettuce , Pickles, and topped with Burgundian mayo. Naturally there was a side of fries and a small salad. It was fresh and tasty and had a flavor to enjoy. Naturally, had to have Nashville Hot Chicken and Waffles. Buttermilk-Fried Chicken Thigh coated in house seasoning. There was creamy Memphis slaw, a spicy sauce you can select and a good hot honey drizzle. The waffle was fresh and enjoyable and ideal for breakfast as well. This was perfect for dinner or breakfast or anytime of the day. One special they did have, and which is not easy to find, is a good Germany Burgundian Currywurst Sausage Dog. Made with a true grilled Knockwurst Sausage it is on a toasted roll that is topped with smoked gouda cheese and caramelized onions. There is curried ketchup which is a variation of what you do find when you order this in Berlin. It too had fries on the side. The taste was good. It was similar to what I remember when living in Germany. And it is a rare find in many restaurants. But here it was. And with a German beer, it was good. Overall, Burgundian is a place to find. It is not easy, but it is there. It is small and simple. You enter and order at the counter. You can go from Beer to a coffee. From an Appy to a meal. The portions are large. The prices are good. The team is good to work with, ask questions and help. This is not a fancy place, but they will take reservations. Your choice here. Food: - we shared the Traditional Canadian Poutine and it was so delicious! The gravy was more flavorful than most places I've had this at, the cheese curd was perfect and there was a generous amount of fries to share with 2-4 people. - I ordered the chicken and waffles and that was yummy! I Would order it again. - my friend ordered the Chivito Smash Burger and she said it was good and very tasty. She said it kept her stuffed. - I also ordered the iced matcha latte. It was better than I expected. Service: The staff was so nice and helpful. We went during lunch time so things got pretty busy and at first we had no where to sit, and we had a 1 year old with us. Coffee is okay, but their waffles are fire! It's been a long time since I've made it up this way and they have updated their shop a little bit. It looked cute! This spot always has a community vibe. It has all sorts of people in there---those grabbing a coffee to go, people enjoying a meal and conversation, people working, and more. It has a cute inside space but their beer garden really impressed me! They have fliers up all over adverting all of the events they are hosting so you know when they're taking place and what you need to know about the details! I love that. You need to try a bunch of things from the menu! There's so many options from a bunch of different global cuisines - we had the classic poutine, pierogis and kielbasa, and a giant (MASSIVE) pretzel. The star of the show for me was the Oh La La Chocolat waffle. I want to wake up to one every day it was incredible. Best waffle of my life hands down. Been a Burgundian fan since the food truck ever arrived on the scene. Best liege waffles around, not even a close second and they know their way around every meal- breakfast, lunch and dinner. This spot is newly renovated and it's got a charming German inn feel to it, beautiful wood and accents everywhere. Recently went for the French tako Tuesday special and it was a great first experience for the French tako. Essentially a California burrito. Deceptively filling. Of course had to get a waffle. I stopped at Burgundian for the first time as part of the RI Food Fights Burger Blowout. I've heard great things about this place from multiple people but never had the chance to check it out. It was pretty quiet when I got in but got busier within the hour. The menu is pretty simple but since I came in for the burger, I ordered the special burger they created for the contest. This burger was perfectly cooked and one of the best I've had so far. Definitely top 3 on my list. They have a wide variety of drinks to choose from as well. This is a great place! There is some parking across the street but I would recommend getting there early so you can find a place to sit since it is order at the counter. I had the London Fog which was delicious but could have been warmer and the Burgundian Breakfast Plate. This was great! The waffles were cooked well and not gummy, eggs were perfect, bacon nice and crispy, and while I prefer my hash-browns crunchier they still had nice flavor. I would definitely recommend this place! I found the funkiest place in the area. I couldn't get a fix on this joint, look it up on Yelp. It's menu is all over the map. Sweet and savory, European and middle eastern. Dang!!! they even have Mexican inspired plates. I settled on a German inspired wurst and polenta fries. Everything was phenomenal even the French side salad. Polenta fries that were creamy inside and so crunch outside Homerun! It's food that's was from all over the world and I wish I was local because the place is a fantastic food find. The young lady behind the counter was made for hospitality. It's inspiring to see someone so good at their profession. The ambiance is pub like but there's great art on the walls and really chill entertaining instrumental tunes which spanned from regge to blues to jazz and mello rock. WOW. I've been here for brunch but never for dinner and all I can say is WOW! First time I've ever enjoyed eating a chicken thigh in my life. My daughter and I had the Elvis waffle, bacon, banana, PB and honey, topped with fried chicken. My wife had a Mexican chicken sandwich and our daughter's boyfriend had a smash burger. We all loved our meals. My waffle was crispy and that fried chicken thigh was magical! We had two dessert waffles, the PB cup waffles and the banana churro. Both were great. I've had the churro waffle before but I could never get enough of it. It's the perfect dessert. The PB cup waffle was good but needed a smidge more of chocolate syrups. The inside of this place is adorable. I love that you order at the counter and seat yourself. They have outdoor seating in the back too! I've never had a meal at Burgundian that I didn't like! I love coming for their liege waffles, I usually opt for the lemon blueberry ones. They're oh so fresh and fruity, just the right amount of sweetness, perfectly paired with one of their espresso drinks. I especially like the gingerbread one around Christmas time. My most recent visit was for their special Mardi Gras menu offerings. I was excited to see a local restaurant celebrating the holiday, and I had been looking for one! They were offering a few New Orleansy cocktails, a couple mains, and liege beignets for dessert. I opted for the Shrimp po'boy, which was served open face and wasn't quite closeable, but it tasted good. I do wish they fried the shrimp in something that wasn't cornmeal, however, that was the one thing that wasn't working for me. The fries they served with it were really good. So good I ate the rest the next day. Perfectly crisp and well-seasoned, I will be keeping this in mind in the future! Concurrently as the Mardi Gras menu, it was also Attleboro Restaurant Week, so they had a prix fixe menu for that as well, which my mom ordered from. She had the German curryworst with cheese sticks, which were made with halloumi cheese, which is soft and squishy like a paneer, not stretchy like the traditional mozzarella. But I liked it!! It was fun. The meal also came with dessert; the chocolate banana bread pudding bread pudding. This I heartily enjoyed, it was perfectly balanced between chocolate and banana and the cocoa powder on the top and bottom made it feel very indulgent. Just some notes on the place- it's mostly street parking but there's a small lot across the street. I usually don't have a problem finding a spot, even when it's busy on weekends. This place can get busy on weekends! Their staff is very friendly, and the owner is usually there. You can tell he really cares about the place but also- most importantly- about the menu! There's always something special going on here and every dish is very creative. It's what always keeps me coming back! The restaurant is very open and there are many different styles of seats and tables to choose from, including some longer tables that might have a couple parties sitting there, or private alcoves in the back. I have been to Burgundian 3 times and always have a great time there! I have been following them since they were only a food truck and I love the fun events they have started putting on there. Went to Octoberfest and Apri Ski Night so far. The owner and staff are friendly and the atmosphere is fun! The waffles are amazing (of course!) and their rotation of food is excellent. It is a not a full service restaurant....its an order and sit location. There are big communal tables, as well as smaller tables....the vibe feels like food hall/beer hall mix....although I know this is a breakfast place too! They have a full bar and the drinks were innovative and yummy! The food was great on our beer menu! I do wish I knew the menu before the dinner - only because if you didn't love fish or seafood this menu would not be for you! My favorites were the watermelon salad and panna cotta! When I read the Yelp description as "food trucks" I wasn't sure what to expect. So when I arrived I was pleasantly surprised to see that this is really a nice, typical cafe vibe that offers some all day breakfast fare like waffles - as well as dinner items. It seems many people dine in, but I made my order to go. While I waited for my food I got a hot chocolate. It was decent but nothing to brag about. However, I did omit the whipped cream and replaced regular with almond milk, so I'm sure this impacted the flavor. The food, however, was very very good. I ordered a breakfast sandwich with fried egg on an English muffin and it was delectable - even without added protein! I also tried the chicken and waffles. The waffle was dynamite and I savored every single morsel. The breaded chicken thigh was pretty good, albeit I would have liked a little more seasoning on it. The buttermilk breading did help, as did the butter dip and syrup they added. Both items I would definitely order again. I love this place. The food and drinks are great, I personally had the oh la la, chocolat which is a chocolate stuffed waffle with Nutella whipped cream and raspberry which was delicious. I also had a cola and blue raspberry sodas which are in glass bottles which I find very unique. Not only that but the service is great with kind workers and the food came in 15 minutes on a very busy day which I find impressive. We had the best time last night during Trivia night. We enjoyed our delicious meals first. I had friend Halloumi on a waffle which was so good with a fried egg on top with a little siracha mayo sauce. My husband had the Hot Nashville chicken sandwich which was massive- it hung out from the bun on all sides. It required many napkins to clean up after eating it. He said the coleslaw tasted very fresh and I tasted some of his french fries and they were the battered seasoned kind- very good. My cocktail was a little too sweet- The Parisian. My husband LOVED his hazy ale. Then we had such fun doing the creative trivia run by Nonsensical Fiction ( I may have the name wrong). I highly recommend it. Checked out the Burgundian for a tasty, bountiful Belgian waffle brunch today and it was a food and drink bonanza. My dad had wanted to check it out after seeing it featured on a local TV food review. Figured a great spot to take a couple of my kids and my dad to scope it out for the rest of the fam. We arrived to the center of Attleboro and easily found on-street parking just beyond the entrance. The signage is super discreet so look for some small, colourful banners that hang out front. I feel like we hit the jackpot for a Sunday breakfast spot. At 9:45, there was no line and no waiting BUT it almost immediately flooded with people shortly after 10. But even those folks moved quickly through the line. You order your food at the counter and grab a seat. There's shared seating at long tables throughout the restaurant and also some more intimate two and four tops. Self service for silverware and ice water, as well as bussing your table after. The counter service, food and drink runners and his staff were delightful. You get a number when you order food, bring it table and food arrives a short time later. The food? Belgian waffles lived up to the hype. I have no photos because they were literally attacked by my kids and dad as soon as they hit the table. Light, fluffy and crisp... They are not huge but I think the portion was perfect. We got a churro version, a chicken and waffle and a berry topped waffle. I passed on the waffle and instead I got a classic eggs Benedict which was a brunch special that I would definitely get again... We got Vietnamese iced coffee which was on point, house iced coffee and chocolate milk BUT they have a full bar with beers and cocktails that sounded impressive. Have you ever stumbled upon something completely up your alley, which has been available to you for some time, and yet you were completely ignorant of it? Yeah, me too - and it's like a stellar gift when you realize, right? A friend of mine clued me in just a couple months ago, and I finally got to Attleboro to partake of the goodness. After receiving their liquor license in first quarter of 2022, it sounds like Burgundian really began to shine, and they certainly seem strongly in stride today. The feeling this isn't an average bar-cafe starts outside - the facade is a kind of Euro-merican pastiche, welcoming right away, just a stone's throw from the Attleboro train station. You're greeted by friendly, knowledgeable staff who are into what they're doing - want to select a coffee or tea option? Plenty there on the board, and fresh specials they'll tell you about, to boot. Interested in their fine beer selection? Each staff member had their own "Beer Nerd" flight selection to try what spoke to them from the menu. I went with friends for some drinks and food, so we made our own fun - but they're hosting events here I'm eager to try. Many are centered on something beer-culture in the coming month (Belgian National Day today as I type). Additionally, I was stoked that instead of relegating a trivia night to Tuesdays, when many of us try to give our dear, stalwart livers a break, Burgundian does trivia Thursday nights...when we're starting to think about priming the pump again - outstanding! Finally stopped in for chicken and waffles with a side of home fries--O...M...G--so delicious! This chicken, a boneless thigh slightly pounded out, had this light batter and so much, like, herby flavor. I wouldn't call it "fried chicken" b/c it was just too light for that. No, this isn't fried chicken, this is some magic French concoction, and I think back about it far more than I'd like to admit. I wasn't there for the waffle but it was yummy, too. The home fries were about as good as I've ever had--and I'm a potato connoisseur. My mom had pierogis which surprised me b/c she didn't even know what they were. So let me tell you a thing or two about Burgundian... This place is out of this world! The food is always amazing and they are always changing selections or featuring a different part of the world. One night we went and it was German night and had the BEST german schnitzel. Our most recent visit, we went for the 2023 Rhode Island Big Burger Blowout. We ordered two burgers and we were able to pick any burger off their menu. I had a European House Burger and my boyfriend had the Moroccan Burger. He is still talking about that burger weeks later! We also ordered the arancini balls as an appetizer (which is our go-to) and we ordered the banana churro con caramel liege waffle for dessert which I wish we didn't do because it's my favorite and now my boyfriend likes it too and I have to share. The restaurant's ambiance is very open concept. You order at the counter, are given a number, and can choose which table to sit at. They have the best playlist and beer list so it will quickly become a place where you want to hang out!
