Had an overall good experience at Eggs-Up! I live about 30 minutes from Cumberland so this isn't my usual area to get breakfast but I was joining friends who live closer, and I'm glad I got to check it out. There was a bit of a snafu with seating us. They took down my name but managed to skip over us and seated about 3 or 4 tables of the same size party before I noticed that my name was still on their list and had been completely skipped over. I was a bit annoyed but they quickly sat us once I asked them about it. Our server was very nice, and even though she was busy, we didn't feel neglected at all. The food was very tasty. The menu has a lot of delicious-sounding options and it was tough making a decision. I ended up getting the Blackstone Benedict and was very satisfied with my choice. The flavored ice coffees were also really good! I tried the cinnamon sticky bun and it was great. If I lived closer I could see this becoming a more regular breakfast spot for me! read more

We walked in around 9am on a Sunday and were immediately greeted with a warm hello. We were told to sit anywhere we wanted, so we picked a nice booth by the windows. We both got number 5's which is eggs, home fries, hash and toast. Everything was delicious and hot. Our waitress was probably the friendliest woman I've ever met. Best service we've had at a restaurant in a long time. Will definitely be returning! read more

It was Egg-selent! Be prepared there may be a wait for a table. There is also a couple places for outdoor seating. Actually really happy with eggs up over the last few years. Now granted, I go in week days, so I don't have to deal with a weekend crowd. But having the new side with seats really increased the overall seating. It feels nice and open. I always have such friendly waitresses. The food is typical diner food but they offer some interesting specials weekly. I love that they have different flavor hot coffees and they even offer to make me a flavor if it isn't already brewed. Price is what all diners are charging lately which is more than I'd like to pay but not breaking the bank. read more

It's been a while since I updated my Eggs-Up review. Eggs-Up Just consistently remains the best. Your food always comes out piping hot and tasty. My favorite remains the eggs Benedict, I've just literally never found one anywhere else that I enjoy more. Their hollandaise is spot on. The homemade corn beef hash never disappoints either. I also appreciate how they have a rotating selection of flavored brewed coffee as well. There is generally a wait the later in the morning you go. I've even gone on a weekday and there has been a wait. Just plan accordingly! read more

SO good! I had the cinnamon roll chocolate chip waffle (special) and I can't stop thinking about it. It was so flavorful and unique! Large menu with something for everyone. Cute little diner with benches outside for warmer weather. Service was fast and friendly. If you pay with cash you do not get charged the credit card fee. Will definitely be back! read more

The line, the line, THE LINE! We can never get in! So finally, we tried their takeout. My husband picked it up and stated he got shot daggers from patrons in line when he walked passed them to pick up our pre ordered food! I went with a ham and cheese omelet. It was smothered in cheese which I love! Their ham was really salty. Nice balance. But I can share I am a bigger fan of cubed pieces of ham as opposed to deli meat slices. When you cut it it tears apart the omelet. Eggs up does the deli meat. Home fries were fine. My toasted english muffin did not have any butter on it. Overall I would give this a 3.5 with a hope to someday make it in person! read more

I had heard of this place as my dad's former business used to supply them with rye bread, I believe. We happened to be in the area, so we stopped in for breakfast. The place could have been three times it's size and still would have been packed! Super clean everywhere we could see, and the service was really great. I ordered an omelet and it was prepared exactly as I had asked and the ingredients were fresh - no cubed pieces of ham, they were carved and cut up, the onions were actually caramelized and not just warm chunks. The home fries were ok, not bad, but not amazing, but everything else was really great. This will definitely be a "goto" for us going forward. read more

Loved this small mom & pop breakfast spot! The menu has what you'd expect for breakfast: pancakes, omelette, etc. I went for the house omelette and it was perfect- it had ham, cheese, onions and peppers. It came with home fries which were killer. I have no clue what the seasoning on them was but it was delicious. And a choice of toast which I upgraded to an English muffin which was toasted and grilled ( I think) making it perfect. The server I had was great - she refilled my coffee frequently and got my food out quick! Thumbs up all around. Found this little gem when we discovered our planned lunch spot was closed. We asked to sit at the picnic table outside on the porch for easy "social distancing" and was quickly approved. So many good things to say: 1. Our waitress was prompt and friendly. She took great care of us, and paid attention even though we were seated outside. She replaced my specialty coffee just as my first cup was getting too cool. She gladly substituted side items, no fuss, and was quick to bring extra items. 2. The Breakfast Burger! Perfect blend of textures and flavors. Runny egg yolk right in the middle of the sandwich with crispy fried edges. Great flavor on the burger, crunchy-crispy bacon (lots of it) and a lovely soft bun. 3. Yummy pancakes with strawberries. Huge real whipped cream on the hot chocolate. Crispy bacon. Creamy scrambled eggs. 4. Home fries! I don't usually care for these types of breakfast potatoes, but the seasoning on these was wonderful. Smokey, savory, and cooked just right. Probably the only time I will ever wish for a bigger stomach. Delicious house omelette with home fries and grilled English muffin. Hot, fresh, delicious! My son had a traditional breakfast wrap with home fries. Service was fantastic, super friendly waitress, had a smile for everyone and greater each person as if they were a long lost friend. I'm very impressed with this small family restaurant. I've passed by it many times, but decided to try it today. The breakfast was DELICIOUS. I had the cinnamon roll pancake and it was the best pancake I have ever eaten. The home fries was sooo good!!! Looking for the nearest restaurant after my doctors appointment. I don't ever go to Cumberland at all so I thought it was a good chance for me to check out the area and what it had to offer for restaurants. When I first walked in they didn't make me wait like they would and other places. The waitress actually asked me where I wanted to sit and then immediately my server came and asked where I like to order need anything else. I order the steak and eggs with a little bit of tomatoes and a little bit of beans. I even asked for coffee milk with almond milk and not regular since I am lactose intolerant. The steak is really good thin so make sure you for it medium rare. Since it very thin it will come out medium well. If you cook enough or eaten out much you will already know. Everything was good the service was wonderful. I'm in Cumberland or on my way over there I will definitely come back. read more

Ordered take out. My meal was the hash and eggs with home fries and rye toast. Let's start with the toast. So over toasted it was inedible. The has is the worst homemade hash I have ever had and the home fries looked and tasted like a pile of mush! I will never eat here or recommend this place to anyone. Completely disappointed! read more

I think we found our breakfast spot in Cumberland! Came here for breakfast today. Great food and the coffee (New England Coffee) was delicious. I had the Funky Monkey pancakes which were delicious. The banana is freshly cut up in them, barely needed syrup. My Mom had the cinnamon roll pancakes that were equally delicious. Back. Was a tad over cooked, but way better than being undercooked. Great and at tentative service. Got a Buffalo chicken wrap to go, that was just as good and the fries were good to! read more

I love this place, i go here anytime in in Cumberland. I'm a vegetarian and they've got some great options for me. My favorite is the Greek wrap, spinach, eggs, kalamatas, seasoned perfectly... There is not a place locally with a better Breakfast (and many great lunch options as well). Don't forget to check out their specials on the blackboard when entering! They have some great specials that are so yummy. The staff make you feel like you are at their home. Without reservation, I highly recommend for breakfast or lunch! read more

This place gets really good reviews so I thought I would give it a shot. I can't say I agree with the positive reviews. I am a big fan of homemade corned beef hash and I must say this was the worst one I've ever had. It seemed like they put it in a blender with potatoes, total mush. All I could taste were cloves. Super cheap but that's about the only good thing. Terrible service completely forgot about me- told me I had to wait outside because of covid. Thats fine I understand so I paid & gave him a $4 tip for a $10 bill. What I don't get is why I had to go back in to get my food. It took 35 mins from when I called - for oatmeal, 2 pieces of French toast and sliced bananas. Next time I'll make my own ! Also noticed how unorganized the line to be seated outside was. People were being skipped because they had no clue they had to put a name in. Theres a guy standing outside the door but he doesn't say anything. Never again ! read more

Find me here Sunday mornings fighting the church crowd for a table as this is my official breakfast joint in Northern Rhode Island. The omelets are loaded with your filling of choice but I prefer broccoli and cheese, The popeye omelet is also a good meal with its egg sack being filled with spinach, cheese, and red pepper. Every omelet comes with a plate filled with grilled potatoes with sauteed onions and your choice of toast. The price is right for under $7. My only warning is to watch out for the creamers before using them on your coffee. They are sometimes in need of changing. read more

The food is good and quick. The restaurant obviously does not believe in COVID. None of the staff had masks. The worst was watching the Maclean the table between guests. The bus girl cleared the table then wipes it down with a dirty napkin. Left from previous guests she then got a clean napkin. No liquid spray or disinfect. I went and got my own wipes to clean. At the counter people packed shoulder to shoulder. Too bad a nice place. Been going there for years not any more. Not cleaning between guests is important all the time not just in a pandemic. read more

If I could give this place more than five stars, I absolutely would! The food is amazing, but what really makes this restaurant special is the staff. They are genuinely wonderful and make you feel like family. My father and his friend are two elderly gentlemen who come here all the time, and the way the staff treats them honestly makes me so happy. They are always so kind, welcoming, and attentive to them. They know them, take care of them, and make them feel comfortable every time they come in. It means so much to me knowing that my dad loves coming here and is treated so well. And then there's the food! The home fries are perfectly seasoned and absolutely delicious. The pancakes are so fluffy and honestly amazing. But my absolute favorite is when they have the Monkey Bread French Toast as a special. Oh my goodness--it is literally to die for! I wish they would permanently add it to the menu because I would order it every single time. I only come here once in a while, so I was so pleasantly surprised when I realized they had expanded the restaurant. It's basically double the size now, which makes the whole experience even better. The atmosphere is comfortable, the food is authentic and delicious, and the staff is truly exceptional.
