The quesadilla was pretty greasy, but in a nice way. All three items were pretty protein heavy. The man working at the stand was very friendly and spoke English and Spanish. He got the food ready in under 10 minutes and packed it up well for takeout. There isn't a place to eat on sight, but everything was still delicious when we got home.

This is the 3rd year my family and I have attended empanada fest in Pawtucket. This event is part…read moreof a larger Pawtucket Arts Festival happening throughout the month of September, be sure to check out their website, there's a lot of cool stuff happening! Todays location and vibe was that of a block party, set up right in the middle of the street in front of the Pawtucket Visitors Center. They sell 350 tickets that are $10 if purchased online ahead of time or $15 day of at the check in tables, which is a super reasonable price to sample some of the city's best empanadas. This year there were 8 participating restaurants and each one did a nice job of representing their brand. There was also free face painting and caricature drawing tents available for attendees and an awesome band playing live music. The volunteers we interacted with were nice and this year they handed out these green frisbees, which most people used as plates to collect and carry their food. It's a great time and really neat idea and totally worth checking out. This years event had some logistical problems which caused long lines and significant crowding in one area of the block party, hopefully they learn from this experience and try a different set up for next year.

It changed the flavor profile to the point where it didn't remind me of a Cuban sandwich. I wish they'd still had salt potatoes because I'd have loved to try them. If I ate here again, I'd probably try a burger or stick to the hot dog.

Sarcastic Sweets seems to mostly operate on per-orders and they also have a food truck, but there were a number of baked items in the case on the counter and we chose a bbq chicken calzone, which was very good. It was super hot the day we visited, but if it had been a cooler day, we would have enjoyed the Lorraine Mills outdoor seating area. We haven't tried the food truck, but hope to catch them in our area soon!
