The food here was delicious, and well prepared. The only reason I didn't give it 4 or 5 stars is because the service seemed a little spotty. Our waitress seemed to forget about us for 15 minutes at a time, and we were both left waiting for refills on our coffees for what seemed like forever. I had a omlette and it was cooked perfectly, and I could tell they use fresh ingredients. My wife had the breakfast scramble and that was very tasty as well, comes with homemade toast. The coffee is great. Good food, good selection for breakfast and lunch. The prefix menu is a joke. I went to eat with my parents and because the meals were ONLY the 2 for $22 we ended up with one extra to take home and spent unnecessary money. Makes no sense whatsoever and the portions are laughable. When Pinnochios does their prefix menu; it makes sense, there are other options and the portions are what you would expect. The most inconsistent place I have ever been. Portion sizes change daily it seems here. When contacting the owners via Facebook you will be completely ignored. And then you will be called a cry baby for complaining that as a paying customer you were ignored. The owner told me to Get over myself....I wish I were kidding. Best omelette I've had in a while. Really enjoyed this place. They include your beverage with your meal and the coffee was really good. Toast was homemade and fantastic, home fries were basic but good, but what stuck out to me was the omelette. I like to get spinach in mine and what that always falls victim too is the spinach releasing too much water into the omelette if not cooked proper. No problem here and the flavor was excellent. We ordered two subs and a salad. The subs were missing chips. The grilled chicken salad was missing olives, cheese, and croutons. The chicken was sub par. That was also supposed to come with a piece of bread on the side. I would never order the salad again. The subs were edible. read more

My concerns is not with the quality of the food, it is with the owner's attitude. We were there for breakfast, and the music was so loud we could not have a conversation at our table. When asked to please turn it down, he said, "We are a hoppin place". I told him after that that every time we go since they moved to their new location we have to ask for it to be turned down. I got a blank stare. Then I told him there were other places we could go. After I wrote a review about this on their fb page, I got nothing but rude comments from the OWNER....I was childish, he does not kiss ass, I am condescending, cranky, and on and on. Went here for the first time for breakfast. It's very country cutsie in decor and warm and friendly in feeling. Beware that the bathrooms are OUTSIDE and around the back, so in the dead of winter I would be sure to go before leaving the house to eat here. In terms of staff, the waitresses were too quick and a little sarcastic. I waited for a refill on coffee and the girl walked by my table to refill another table, and came back with a snarky, "I saw you Hon." You don't talk to customers that way. We also asked for a to go and received a way too small box and couldn't get our waitresses attention again so wrapped the toast in a napkin we took off another table. As for the food, the coffee is excellent. I had the eggs benedict which were cooked perfectly. I was totally not a fan of the hashbrowns. They just tasted overy herbed up and possibly frozen. Love love love their french meat pie. I've gotten it for the past three years at the Big E and finally had the opportunity to have it at their cute restaurant! Boy am I glad I came on a random wednesday at 10am. Only a few tables were full, but by the looks of it they must get super busy as there was tables and seating everywhere. I don't know what the other yelpers complaints were about, we had great service and they were very helpful with questions and refilling our drinks. My French meat pie benedict was in my belly so fast. And I regretted telling my Mom I'd go half-sies with her on her meal as I decided I wanted it all to myself. She enjoyed her homemade cornbread something or other. I don't know what she had I needed to get back to my creamy Hollaindaise sauce and deliciously broken runny egg yolk. Can't wait to go back. Also, prices were on point. I didn't feel like we got 'had' for what we got the way I feel with most breakfast places (where I leave thinking I could have made a better breakfast myself). I have dined Burgundy Brook on a number of occasions now. An outstanding breakfast! You will not be disappointed here. I usually try whatever the weekly special is but even ordering off of the menu gives you a plethora of option. Very generous portions, a fantastic atmosphere, a very friendly and tentative staff, and you even have the horses next door as a little extra perk for the kids or even yourself. Indoor and outdoor seating overlooking the farm fields. I would definitely recommend BB for a group breakfast with friends of family, it's a very lively place. If you are looking for a quiet little spot then this place is probably not for you. As far as the lunches go - also fantastic. Sandwiches, burgers & dogs, salads, and grinders - served with chips and a pickle. Sorry - no fries or onion rings here :( They close up after lunch everyday so it's not a late day spot, but if your in the area I recommend you check it out. I would call this one of Palmer's hidden Gems for sure! I give BB a 4 Star rating - the only reason they don't get the fifth star is because they don't offer fries or rings with your burgers or dogs. However, they do have some other really good side orders for lunch IE: baked beans, slaw, soups, etc. So perhaps they deserve a 4.5 stars - come on Yelp. Went there on a Sunday morning to have a nice breakfast with my family. When we arrived the place was not to busy 5 min wait at tops. There was no one taking names or a host at the station outside so we walked in we were greeted and was offered a table in the middle of restaurant. With a child we asked if we could wait for a booth seat because we saw several that were about to open soon. Told no problem it would be a few moments. While waiting the owner walked by is and mumbled something and walked outside. He then turned to us and in a rude tone told is we need to go outside that he was at capacity. We tried to explain that we were told to wait right there by his staff. He then repeated his statement. We went outside and waited. Well while waiting the owner apparently started a wait list. My wife had notice this and went to see about our table guess what bottom of list. He then proceeded to seat another group who arrived after us. Because of his rudeness and this coming from a owner to a paying customer we decide to leave. He noticed this and in a disgusted voice said he was about to seat us. This is not the first time owners of this restaurant have been rude. What a shame food used to be good. I don't give my hard earned money to a owner that feels he don't need a customer. We were on our way to New York from Boston and I saw this place listed on yelp so we decide to try it . We had the best breakfast we have had in years here! I had the corn beef hash with eggs, my husband had Eggs Benedict and my granddaughter had the eggs and hash browns. The meals was delicious the toast (homemade) was exceptional and the service was top notch !!! If we lived in Palmer this place would definitely be where we would be frequenting very often. UPDATE 10/01/2016 : reduced down to one star due to the owner/manager. The guy is an ass. Every time I've had to interact with him, he is a pompous asshat. We arrived this morning to find my entire family sitting down, and two place mats set up for me and my boyfriend - but no chairs! I caught the owner (who was seating people) and asked for our chairs back. And he told me they didn't have any chairs ( ? ), then proceeded to try and explain to me how they usually don't seat people until the whole party is there - which I understand, no doubt - however, the right time to explain this is not when the restaurant is full and busy and my whole family is sitting down looking up at us. We're already here in this situation, please just get us chairs so we can join them. Another thing we've noticed - is that they NEVER answer the phone. We've called multiple times to order food to go and have not once been able to. This is especially a disgrace, if the owner is seating people and sitting right there with the phone right in front of him... I find myself returning to this restaurant quite frequently, as it is one of the better breakfast spots in the immediate area. I find that their food is usually pretty tasty, however it is quite inconsistent! One day, i had some of the best homemade hash. The next time I was there, my homefries were cold!? Same can be said about the service. I wish they'd have someone specifically for seating and cleaning tables. The servers can sometimes seem like they are running out of time. Despite these details, I will surely end up there again within the next month or two in hopes that I catch them on a good day! Because their good days are really good! First time at the new location. Parking was not very convenient. We ordered a pizza as they advertised a wood fired brick oven pizza. It took quite a while for the pizza to arrive, it appeared as though they hadn't fired it up the oven yet. No shortage of toppings on the pizza but I don't believe it is a wood fired oven as we didn't see any wood out back and the pizza didn't taste as though it was cooked with wood heat. Pastries in the case appeared to be old looking so we didn't try them. The old place was always crowded especially on a Saturday afternoon but today there was hardly anyone there. We will come back to try the breakfast but will leave the pizza making to Antonios in Belchertown and Amherst. read more

What a great breakfast spot. We are not from the area but we found this place on Yelp. We really loved this place. My husband and I had Haileys Hash and I have to say, I've never had hash before because I honestly think it's gross. I had to order it because the pictures on Yelp looked fantastic. I'm so glad I got it, it was so delicious. Their homemade bread is beyond words. I had the molasses and oatmeal and my husband had the marbled rye and OMG amazing. My daughter had the meat pie eggs Benedict, again I've never had meat pie, but they said it was said to be a favorite here. Again, so delicious, she loved it. I only had a bite but the flavors were on point. We ordered one blueberry pancake to share, also good. The service was also great. All around great experience. Don't know what to say. The food is awesome. The place was packed and people did not mind the wait. First time there we waited in a line which extended behind the counter into the waitress station. Having to move out of there way constantly was awarded. As a business owner I would be very worried about customer accidents from hot coffee pots etc... When we got a seat at the counter we were just standing behind it was awkward having people standing on the other side of the counter watching us eat. The seats were very uncomfortable to the point that it was unbearable. After all this we decided to give it another try. Same experience but this time we sat outside. More staff is definitely needed and seating needs to be improved. Went here today hoping for a good pizza. Saw online they they had an oven from Italy with which to make it. In a town full of unremarkable pizza places, I was hoping for something better than that. Unfortunately, everything about this Pizza was unremarkable. Crust was just OK, I've had better. Sauce was lousy. None of that sweet/acidic taste of a fresh sauce. Like a San Marzano tomato sauce. Cheese was completely bland. Need to have a better blend with maybe a little White cheddar mixed in. Everything looked great on the menu. The place has a country style decor that is comfortable and homey. I ordered the huervos rancheros with a side of corned beef hash. My wife had the berry berry pancakes with a side of bacon. It took about 15 to 20 minutes for the food to come out. Everything was decent, but not the best I've ever had. My corned beef, although loaded with meat, was very dry. The Cajun home fries were pretty good. Prices were reasonable and the portions were big. The baked goods were the highlight of the visit, with tons of awesome looking choices. They should really move the hostess' podium from the entrance and exit. It was extremely awkward waiting to be seated while people were entering and exiting in the same small area. Overall, it was decent, and I'd go back. The food is pretty good, but seldom in the "you've gotta try the _______" category. It used to be, but no so much. Maybe it's because I always make the mistake of getting there on Sunday about an hour before closing. Why do I go back? What are my choices when in Palmer after church for breakfast??!! 1 hour before closing I am always greeted with an attitude of "really, we've been slammed and NOW you show up" . The man who I am told is the owner is very arrogant, like he's doing me a favor to seat me. The wait staff is usually sharp, but 1 Hr before closing I am 2nd to the importance if vacuuming, cleaning, filling salt shakers, etc. My last visit, after waiting for a second cup of coffee I final got up with my cup and wandered toward the counter. My waitress yelled to another waitress "help him would you" and she asked "what do you need" I showed her my cup. The High side is that the pancakes and cornbread are always good, coffee is good and the atmosphere /decor is welcoming.
