This is a local diner, but I'm from out of town and it's not local to me! I love this place. I find it charming and fascinating, and fortunately the food is quite tasty! First time there. I love a good diner! Something about the comfort food and large menu is appealing. We got take out for lunch. The plus is the place appears clean, the woman who took the order was pleasant, food was ready on time and was checked out quickly. The portion was very decent for the price. But... The food was horrendous. I really wanted to find something redeeming about it. I just couldn't. Roast Turkey dinner was very bland. It seems like they used cold cut turkey and smothered it with the worst tasting, yellow, hollandaise looking gravy I ever had. The stuffing was dry. The mashed potatoes were bland. The carrots were not cooked enough. The chicken soup was flavorless. The potato skins with cheese and bacon were dry. The cheese was burnt and brown. No sour cream provided. The only part of the meal that was edible was the canned cranberry sauce and the roll. Over $50 wasted for two dinners and an app that our dogs even snubbed their noses at. The "to go" fee also rubbed me the wrong way. More than $3. Prices were higher than on their website. Needless to say, I will never return. Never been before. Only 3 stars. Was in the area and decided to give them a try. Service was horrible. The food terrible. I order a Panini. I received grilled bread drenched in butter with no char lines. The waitress said that's how they make them. I only ate less than half. The o ion rings were an up charge. I ate one. They were soggy and mushy - definitely not cooked all the way. Waited said well I don't know? Didn't offer to make it right. Only checked in me once before I even had a bite of food. Didn't take it to go. She gave me 10% off my bill. So I basically paid $23 for a few bites of a sandwich. I called and was advised the panini press has been broke for months- well then you should prob offer grilled sandwiches not paninis. They are very different. She said she would advise the owner so the owner could maybe do something whereas anyone else can only offer 10% off the bill. I never heard from the owner. That was Monday- it's Saturday. I told the person I. The phone id give it a few days before I put a bad review on yelp. I'd do 0 stars if I could. I'll never go back. Ohh an I asked for light on the meat as well. We were looking for a quick little lunch spot and this was perfect. It was pretty quiet and empty on a Saturday. They have a huge menu and wide variety of food from paninis to Italian pastas. I got a chicken pesto panini; for the price there was a lot of chicken in it on a big slice of toasted bread. The waitress, Rachel, was INCREDIBLE. She was SO insanely sweet, funny, and personable. Checked on us the perfect amount of times, was really accommodating, quick, and didn't forget anything we had asked for. The food was also SO good. You're not coming here for a fancy meal like pasta primavera or a t-bone steak...you're here for the two eggs scrambled with crispy bacon, the side of whole wheat toast & well done potatoes plus some bottomless coffee. The service is also no slouch. With that in mind, Easthampton diner 'delivers'; for my taste at least. Upping the ante to something like corned beef hash or poached eggs is to be done with some degree of caution though; the hash is likely canned and the technicality of poached eggs is a delicate endeavor perhaps unmastered. I've been eating biscuits and gravy for over 30 years; all across the country. I'd describe the gravy from this joint as a skunked sour craft beer mixed with chicken bouillon. I tried to choke it down; really I did. It was beyond nasty. I normally don't complain but I had to tell the waitress it was inedible and should not even be on the menu. Nearly two days later, the aftertaste is haunting me. She offered to get me a different meal but I respectfully declined. The side of home fries were not to be desired; mushy yellow potatoes blackened on the flat top; no seasoning in sight. The bacon? Asked for crispy. You know, normal crispy bacon. Nope, came out looking like the dog treat Beggin Strips. $4.50 for a 10-12oz OJ... I would have appreciated, at least, comping the part of the meal a starving rat would turn down; but no. I paid my full priced ticket for the worst breakfast I've ever been served, left my typical 30% tip, and swore to never return... even if it were the last diner left on Earth. read more

This would have been 3 stars if they didn't charge a "check-out fee" for using a credit card, which I've since learned is ILLEGAL in Massachusetts. When you get the check be sure to tell them it's illegal for them to charge you a service fee for a credit card or use cash. The fries were VERY good, my Cobb salad was pretty good although one of the plainest I've ever had. It didn't come with the tomatoes as described in the menu and when I asked for some the waitress just said "the cook stopped putting those in a while ago" which I thought was odd given the fact it hadn't been removed from the menu. First impressions upon walking in was the carpet looking disgusting and needed to be replaced. The booths we were shown to were ripped. Service was polite and fast. The menu is huge. I ordered the Rueben panini and my wife the cheeseburger club. The serving portions were impressive. My panini was awesome. Crisp, golden brown, melted Swiss, with a big cup of thousand island on the side. Tons of golden brown fries. Cheeseburger club portion was huge too, and also very good. This experience would have been perfectly fine except for our waitress... She was horrible. She kept calling me a girl after I had politely corrected her twice. So I said it again that I am a he. She still said what does she want, and this one is for her. She lowered her mask everytime she spoke to where it was more a chin strap fashion statement than a mask. Drinks came and she told me I had to keep my mask on until the food came when all I wanted was to drink my frickin orange juice. It bothered me that she gave me crap about mask wearing when she took her mask off when not serving and took it off while talking. Idiot. I came here with a party of 6 during dinnertime on a Saturday, the place wasn't too crowded but there was a fair amount of people. We were seated right away, and our waiter came over pretty quickly to take our drink orders. Our waiter here was freaking awesome, I'm just sad that I don't remember his name. The entire time he was taking care of us he was energetic, attentive, and made us feel super welcome. We never had to wait more than a couple of minutes for something, and he was super knowledgeable about the menu & offered great suggestions. Now for the food. Their menu is huge, which was a little overwhelming at first. Then, we got to the specials menu. They have a special where you can get a four course meal for $14.95. This includes a main dish, appetizer, soup or salad, and dessert. There's a ton of entrees available, and compared to the main menu getting the four course usually ends up being the better deal. Four of the people in our party got this deal, and there was more than enough appetizers and desserts to go around the entire table. Some of the entrees also come with 1-2 additional sides with the entree. The portion sizes are decent. I got the pasta, and even after stuffing myself was able to still take half home. This was the case for our whole group, after feeding ourselves silly we still ended up with a big bag of leftovers. Food was tasty, it's diner faire so don't come in expecting a 5 star gourmet meal. You do get what you pay for, but all of our food came out piping hot and in a timely manner. No complaints here. The best part, you get a ton of food without breaking the bank. The bill for our party was less than $90, we all left super full and still had a ton of food leftover. If you're looking for a decent meal, at a decent price, I'd highly recommend checking this place out. read more

Today was the last straw. We will no longer eat or order from the Easthampton Diner. In the past, we've had incomplete orders delivered. Frustrating in that we'd have to wait for the missing parts of the order to be delivered, but we continued to order. Then after being particularly frustrated, I called to get the correct order the owner had an attitude. Now I tend to be courteous and polite when voicing complaints I find no value in being rude, loud, etc. Reluctantly, alibi not as often, we continued to order from them. However, this last time, they again screwed up the order, and when I saw the receipt the driver asked me to sign they overcharged us. When I called they couldn't figure out how to correct the charge and that they would have to confer with the owner. I said that's fine, I won't sign the charge, call me back and I will be happy to pay over the phone. The next day I looked at my online credit card statement and saw they reversed the charge and then again recharged for the exact same amount. Too many chances given - never again, lots of other great food choice in the area. read more

Very disappointing. If you go I strongly suggest that you eat there as opposed to getting takeout. I waited 20 minutes for my food, which was already made, to be packed and brought to the counter. They had ONE poor girl putting together all of the takeout orders and she was not speedy. By the time I got it home the food was cold. The food itself was nothing to write home about either. I had always wanted to try this legendary Diner, and finally did on 7/16/20 in the middle of the afternoon. The service was exceptional, and the Chicken Cutlet Parmigiana was one of the best I've ever eaten! The chicken was crisp on the outside, fresh and tender on the inside...The Turkey Dinner was real roasted turkey with a serving of mashed potatoes, ample stuffing and cauliflowers. This meal was somewhat under-spiced for my taste, but upon bringing it home, we simply added more butter and Bell's Seasoning, and S&P to make it taste perfect. Both dinners were very generously sized and cooked with obvious care and expertise. The Blueberry Pie a la mode was also excellent. I highly recommend this to old school Diner lovers like myself. I will most definitely go back whenever I am jonesing for a heaping dish if fresh Chicken Parmigano! Worth 10 Stars read more

The menu is HUGE so you will always find something for everyone. I wouldn't say the food is incredible, but it's decent, and it's reasonably priced. The service is always fantastic, friendly, and fast. They serve breakfast all day, and that's very important to me! Their hash browns have very little seasoning and are cut large, so they're not crispy. I don't like them like this but maybe you do! If you find yourself out in Western MA, near Mt. Tom and looking for tasty diner - the East Hampton Diner is great! Real diner feel, friendly staff and good food. There was plenty of parking - we were there around 10am on a Sunday and were happy to see there was no wait. Tons of tables helps to ensure you'll get a seat right away. I ordered the short stack of pancakes, with apples and bacon on the side. The pancakes were great - apples were plentiful which made me very happy. They did have pre-packaged syrup and the bacon was a bit chewy and not as crispy as I like. Over all, we were pleased. read more

I think giving this place one star is unfair, but only because I fortunately did not get food poisoning. I've been here multiple times over the years, and only due to a lack of options for late night, or breakfast all day. Each time I go there, it gets worse. I usually order something simple, like an Omlet w/ homefries and toast, and they can't even get that right. The eggs, and cheese, meh, nothing special, but not vomit inducing. The home fries are the worst, and are usually served cold and have no flavor whatsoever. They are lazy, terrbile cooks, and probably use sisco's cheapest ingredients. I'm no foodie, but I have taste buds. My most recent, and final time eating there, i decided to get a slighly more advanced item- a spanish omlet. I expected eggs w/ toastitos grade salsa at the least. What i got was eggs with budget marinara sauce slathered all over it, and all up in it, so i couldn't even scrape it off, as not to waste food. When the waitress asked how my food was, I apologized for being picky, and that the omlet tasted terrible, and that I couldn't eat it with the pizza sauce all over it. She asked if I wanted the kitchen to make me something else, but I politelty declined since I had already waited 20 plus minutes for it and had to go. I choked down the dry and luke warm home fries, and asked for the check, which i assumed would be adjusted. It wasn't, and when I asked to have the Omlet taken off, since it was the worst one i've ever tasted, she told me that I'd have to speak to the manager. I agreed, and prceeded to follow her to the front counter, where I spoke to the manager, and informed her that the pizza sauce they put on my eggs ruined my breakfast - she proceeded to tell me that they make the sauce fresh, and said "not to insult you, but it is home made, not canned" I politely insisted, that she adjust the bill, and she finally did... Nonsense! Short story long... Stay far away! Any good reviews of this place are fake, or those people have really really bad taste. Most likey the former. With family out in Easthampton, I find myself out this way at least one weekend a month. One of my favorite places to go while here is the Easthampton Diner for breakfast. I'll preempt my review with the following disclaimer - all I've ever eater there is breakfast, as they serve it all day (I can't be offerred breakfast and not get it). I've been there probably 12x total. Anyway, the food is always great. Their home fries are pretty good and they give you plenty, servings are nice. The sausage is great, pancakes, french toast - you name it and it's good. The service has always been good - they may be brisk but they are friendly and right there with refills and whatnot. Sure, decor wise the place is a big diner - but hello, they tell you that in the name :) Oh - it's also a plus that they have a big, private parking lot (if you know this area, that isn't always assured). read more
