I've Teresa's is a local favorite, but I'd never tried it. I have a gluten allergy and thought my options would be few there. I checked their menu recently and realized they have gluten-free pasta and gluten-free options so we went on a Saturday afternoon for lunch. On the weekends, they have the dinner menu all day, even for lunch. I was happy about that because the dinner menu you had more options. The side salad was fresh and good sized. My MIL had the chicken lentil soup and said it was wonderful. I had chicken stuffed with prosciutto and mozzarella with gluten-free pasta. It was excellent. My mother-in-law had the stuffed haddock. She's not usually a fish lover, but said it was delicious. There were no dessert options for me, but my MIL took a tiramisu home because she was too full, heard it was excellent. I had never been until last night. It was okay. The chicken parm seemed like the breasts are frozen. They are very heavily breaded and salty. The sauce was pretty good, the rolls that came out first were fresh. I guess my favorite part was the salad. The house dressing was delicious, and the portions are large all around. A mixed drink was high priced for lots of ice and a weak mix. I don't think I'd rush back for dinner here again, although I hear the pizza is excellent but that was not offered on the dinner menu. read more

Met friends for lunch on a Saturday. They had just opened so it wasn't busy. All 6 of us enjoyed our meals-eggplant parm and veal parm was a hit. This is pretty solid American Italian fare. Service is excellent. Ambiance/decor is very dated and could use some brightening up. We ate: Coconut shrimp: These were surprisingly great. I'm not a big fan of shredded coconut but you didn't notice the texture here because it was perfectly fried. The accompanying pineapple sauce gave it a pina colada flare. Fried Ravioli: These were decent. It's hard to go wrong with anything involving frying and cheese. Side Salads: Salads were a mix of ice erg and some better greens, low of the cukes and tomato but standard for the venue type. Chicken Parmesan: The chicken wasn't pounded or pan fried. It's was deep fried. That said, the batter was delicious and I would def get this as a sandwich or try their fish and chips. Food: The spicy Calamari app was perfectly cooked, very tasty, and a huge serving. Bread, salad, very good. I had the special: sausage scampi with roasted red peppers over linguine. Very good. My partner had the lasagne-also very good. Again, very large portions. We liked our waitress. She was engaging and efficient. A professional. No problem with waiting or timing of courses as reported by others. Ambiance: at first it was fine. A traditional restaurant setting. Not noisy. A multigenerational party was across as the room with 8 adults and two kids ages 3 and 4. As soon as the kids were done eating the adults let them run around, screech, lie on the floor in the path of the waitstaff and generally encouraged disruptive behavior, tickling the girl on the floor, saying how cute the girl was, etc. We did not hear one word from the adults asking them kids to reel it in. It almost ruined our meal. Maybe they were restaurant owner family? I don't know, and I know establishments can't control parenting but I think the hostess had grounds to address rolling on the floor and loudness. Three strikes! We've eaten in twice and finally tried take out last week to avoid service in the restaurant. Severs are generally abrupt and cannot pace the meal, instead bringing all the food in a rush while you are still eating salad. The most terrible thing is the food. It is never consistent, always soggy and so overloaded with sauce and salt. BTW, the sauce is so salty that it does not taste homemade. Chicken parm was a wet, soaked mess and the chicken looked like it was frozen. Lastly, the prices are ridiculous. Takeout of one dinner and a children's meal $46! The online menu for takeout shows substantially lower prices but when I picked up the food the server tried to tell me the prices listed were either for lunch or not accurate! Really? I was very disappointed the last time I went here. We were seating and no one came to our table. Other people who came in after us were served but after 15 minutes we decided to leave. I have been to this restaurant quite a few times and this didn't happen. It bothered me because there were waitresses standing against the wall doing nothing. Found this place via Yelp and was not disappointed! After a long outing with my son, we were hungry & far from home. We popped in for an early dinner. It's Italian fare, so we knew we'd find family friendly fare. The dining room was clean & inviting. The bar area is quite lovely. We were greeted promptly. We ordered pasta with sauce, nothing fancy. I enjoyed sharing family stories about growing up with Italian traditions. I had an amazing stuffed seafood dish...it was Friday, so, of course fish. Any time we have family visit us from out of state - we always plan a visit to Teresa's. The ambiance is excellent with well space tables and a very accommodating eating area even for large groups of dinners. I come from an Italian family that follows the traditional Italian recipes so I am hesitant to go to Italian restaurants because they are usually awful. But, this restaurant gets it right! Being generous - more like 3.5 stars. I base that solely on the spaghetti and meatballs. I was looking forward to Teresa's since I haven't been there in years. Brought family for lunch. They ordered scallops and veal marsala. Tried a bite of both. Tasty. All came with salads. Excellent house salad and dressing. * They do up charge for blue cheese and caesar dressing. Really? Come on, I know times are tight but the prices for lunch are already not cheap. Service was Excellent! Now to the spaghetti and meatballs: I was hoping for better. I though the sauce lacked any character. Really not a lot of depth at all. Surprising and disappointing. There was a ton of water in the bottom of the bowl causing the sauce to taste watered down, contributing to the lack of character. The meatballs were average at best. Rather dense, and yet again, any real lack of character (not a lot of seasoning, etc.). I know this place is an institution, but I was expecting a lot more from such a simple dish. You would think that being such an established Italian restaurant the dish would be 5+ stars - but it's not. $75 for 3 lunches, 1 glass of wine, and tip. Should be better for that price. Oh well. I was in the area and I put in my GPS places to eat I was actually going somewhere a mile up the street when we passed Theresas restaurant I noticed how packed the parking lot was so I knew it had to be good we turned around and we pulled in when we got there it was very packed, they actually had no open available seating but they had a few seats at the bar so we decided to sit there. We started off with the spicy calamari which was delicious along with the bread with the oil after We shared a Caprese salad and the veal and chicken Parm combo the combo came with soup it was so much food. We brought most of it home it was so good even when we had it the next day. we ended with an espresso martini and I was impressed with that as well, definitely going to go back when I'm in the area read more

Ordered takeout from here once for a birthday, and the dough of my pizza wasn't fully cooked :0 I don't even know how it's possible for a restaurant to mess up a simple pizza, especially an Italian restaurant! The other food we ordered was also just... so bad. The chicken parm sandwich was frozen chicken tenders that had been overcooked and slapped on a sub roll with some sauce, the fish was poorly cooked, etc. I see the parking lot filled up all the time so other people must like it, but I honestly don't understand why or how. read more

We had a large group, and apparently they had another large group that reserved the entire restaurant for later in the afternoon. The hostess was sweet but didn't ask us if we were part of the party that reserved the dining room. She tried to backtrack and apologize for the poor attitude but by then it was too late.
