Teen classes are a disaster. Didn't register my kid correctly to provide zoom link. Didn't give me the information I needed to schedule. Didn't provide any support for special needs. This is the 2nd of my young adults to take a driving test from BDA. Sadly, they both got the same guy. He spent the test time for both YA's looking at his phone. That should be illegal. YA #2 told me that they were at the crosswalk and he, while still looking at his phone, said "GO!". YA #2 told him there were people in the crosswalk, and he said "yeh yeh, go afterwards". He marked YA #2 down for "pausing too long". Wait, what? We aren't sure exactly what else YA #2 needs to work on because he gave us no written score sheet. I took Adult Driving lessons and also used BDA for my written exam, as well as my physical driving exam. I did not have access to a vehicle to practice between lessons, so I was sometimes rusty when starting a lesson after not having had one for awhile. They were really great. The instructor I used for most of my lessons, Noah, was awesome. So too are the ladies that take care of the Admin stuff. I highly recommend Burien Driving Academy. Further kudos for their website which makes scheduling appointments easy and you can chose a particular instructor. The value for your money is also excellent because their rates are fair. Last, but not least, this crew has an accumulative amount of experience that is just crazy. I had two different instructors and their combined experience is extensive. There are several other examiners too. They hire people who really know what they are doing and it shows. They also have instructors who speak /instruct in English, Spanish and even Amharic. read more

I give two stars because everyone was nice. However, my son did this over zoom and they had 60 plus kids online and promised the kids would have their camera on, but no one did. They totally took advantage of the whole COVID situation and made more than their fair share of profit because they put so many kids on zoom at the same time. The day my son took his final test the instructor told him he wasn't quiet ready for his license but would pass him anyway! What the heck, I say! I would keep looking if I had to do it over. What an absolute nightmare! There were problems from beginning to end. Getting a full picture of what's needed is impossible because every person you talk to will tell you something different. Drives were almost impossible to get within the timeframe required. Multiple times staff weren't even there to open the office at scheduled appointments and test times. Staff are condescending and rude. They will barely respond to an email and when they do it's not a complete answer. You pay upfront for everything so by the time you find out how bad it is it's too late. read more

I would never recommend this school not because of the instructors but because the school with out notice changed our package agreement. I purchased the Teen Plus package. This would give my Teen 2 Official WA DOL written tests and Driving test once they passed. The package is supposed to be good till 08/01/23. But, the school made a change to my package without an email or any other type of communication. They just took the options off my account. I have called several times and no one ever answers. I leave voicemails asking to be contacted but no one ever does. Same goes for the numerous emails. I can understand if they want to make changes going forward with new classes but they should not take away items that were paid for as apart of the packages for current students. The lessons learned during behind-the-wheel sessions actually helping me a lot now. The instructors have quite a lot of experience which ramps up the speed of learning. Whether it's about the right amount of braking or riding tips on highways, the instructors helped with every weird doubt of mine. We love Burien Driving Academy! My son is almost sixteen and we chose Burien Driving Academy for its low cost and proximity to us. We are so happy we did! Lallu and his team made this confusing process clear to us, fun for my son, and affordable. Tara, Lallu, and Ackmal are professional and skilled educators/instructors. Tara made the class time fun but also stressed the importance of how serious it is to be in a moving vehicle. My son feels comfortable on the road (and I am comfortable with him driving my car) and I am sure he will be ready to test when the time comes to get his license. We both highly recommend. Excellent driving school. We couldn't be more pleased. Lallu is a kind, patient and knowledgeable instructor and a genuinely good human being.
