This has to be the worst shopping experience I've ever had. No one was around to help, and when you found someone they had an attitude. The worst part was waiting on the line for a cashier. We literally waited an hour and 20 minutes. When my husband yelled for a manager because everyone on line was complaining, this little guy shows up and said that if we have a complaint to call the corporate office. Seriously? On a quest to find a dress for a Sunday evening wedding, I ran over to be at Burlington when the doors opened. If you have ever been to this Burlington location, you will know that the parking is limited/awkward. So I knew I was in trouble when I had no problem parking when I got there at 10:15 (they open at 10 on Saturdays). The "gates" were over the windows & doors, and people were waiting outside by their cars. I saw cars come, park, and leave ... no one has patience anymore. Around 10:40, the "manager" (maybe) comes screeching in and parks her SUV. She runs, opens the door, and stands there, telling the employees to come in ... with no apologies for the store being opened 40 minutes after it should have been. About 2 minutes later, we were allowed inside to scramble for our goods. No luck on the dress by the way. Great clothes for cheap prices. Next level up from a thrift shop. This particular one is super clean and organized especially for being so close to Christmas. We went to this Burlington because my girlfriend needed a watch for her mom as an Xmas gift. Mind you, prior to our entrance we went to various other retail stores such as target, Walmart, and Marshalls. Every single store was a messy free-for-all that resulted in exhaustion by the time you left. This Burlington was a breath of fresh air. Upon entrance, we noticed all check out stations were stacked with clerks helping customers. The lines weren't too big in the first place, but moved insanely fast. There was a fairly large staff reorganizing the merchandise and cleaning discretely the entire time we were there. Finding a watch was very easy, and the way the store was operated made us feel comfortable and relaxed enough to do some exta shopping. This is the Burlington you want to go to. read more

Wow is this place clean. I mean really clean. On a Sunday afternoon visit, I saw someone vacuuming on the sales floor. As far as the inventory goes, there aren't many designer names here. What this place reminded me off was Goodwill, but much more expensive. There were so many brands here that I've never heard of, and I do a lot of shopping. Men's suits, terrible. Shopping here was a first for me. They have everything one can look for when looking for household items. There candle section is amazing they have many different candles and aromas. There are plenty of name brand candles as well for cheaper than the normal retail prices. I bought a total of 6 for my home but this is by far my favorite. The scent is Vanilla Bean, and it smells lovely throughout my house. It's says "with god all things are possible", although I am not religious I think this was super cute. Unless you have this location plugged into your GPS, you won't accidentally come across this location as it's in an area of Secaucus full of distribution centers, warehouses and trucking depots. Having said that, somehow this place is more than well frequented with always a couple of people in the checkout lanes. The parking lot is quite busy as well in spite of the fact that this is at the end of a road with nothing else except a big Fedex truck depot. The selection of luggage here is quite good though hidden behind the Men's clothing area, just before you get to the small household goods area. In my opinion, clothing at Burlington tends to be on the cheaper side in terms of quality so we don't buy as much clothing from here. Having said that, this is a large store and it's much less busy than TJ Maxx or Marshall. It has a great and large selection of shoes. It also has a large selection of baby goods (including cribs) and children clothing. read more

As a customer, I find it uncomfortable to be there to see a bunch of mangers yelling at one employee out of the blue. And often whenever I come here this seems to always be the case. Very unprofessional. Not only that, but you would think this is fight club the way people act in there over the smallest things, both mangers and customers. read more

I went here to return an item. I couldn't find the receipt anywhere, but as we know they can pull it up by scanning. I purchased it initially with cash. As long as your BLACK you cant make a return if you purchased with CASH. Or just dont purchase anything at this store with cash, especially if you're black. I spoke to the manager and the supervisor they both said the samething, that they cant do a return although they were able to pull it up in their system, without a card if it was purchased with a card and without the receipt. So I asked them for the corporate number. They said they dont know the number, they cant find it they would look for it. I took my phone out and searched for the corporate number I called them. I asked them at corporate what is the procedure if a receipt is misplaced how to do a return. The lady on the phone at corporate told me WHAT I ALREADY KNEW, she asked me what store I was at and she called the store and spoke to the manager. The manager then tells me that they will do the return and that instead of cash I would receive a card. they just needed my I.d.. I noticed that the employee at that point removed her name tag, I asked her for her name she refused to tell me, I also asked the manager for both of their names because i had to make that report, since they refused to tell me I proceeded to take pics. These are the people that should not be representing a company. They are other people that want to work and would be a better representation. When the manager saw me taking the pics, she then states she is calling the police. I let her know i'm a University graduate and I know taking photos is NOT against the law, since they didn't want to tell me what their name was I am more than justified in my reasoning to take their pics. read more

The staff here is great, especially Aliss at the register and Ruby a manager. Things were hectic and I realized the day of a party that I hadn't purchased gifts. So I came here and found what i wanted and asked Aliss if i could use her scissors and tape to gift wrap them. She checked with Ruby, her manager, who said yes and showed me where the gift wrapping tissues and bows were displayed and then Aliss found a corner for me where i wrapped them.
