6/18/26 i went quick shopping at 9:20 and as soon as i went to the toy asile with my family and husband a African women was profiling and following us keep in mind she was doing her go backs my husband decided to look at the car supplies while i looked for a basket and the black women started doing clothing exactly at 9:30 she went straight to my husband telling him he needs to get out "because they were closing" meanwhile i was in her area and she never told me anything nor did she tell another black family that was there as soon as i approached my husband she rushed back to clothing. i've worked in burlington for two years in a different city and we had never kicked out customers and when it was 15 minutes before closing time we would announce it but never approached customers. Also to mention while were leaving the security (who was also of color) had let in a black women to shop exactly at 9:45 behind that women was a Mexican lady and they shut the door on her and wasn't letting her in this store makes me sick on how they profile people do better burlington. read more

My experience here wasn't pleasant. everything was going good store is very organized staff there are so nice but Cindy the store manager is very rude. Gives you ugly looks. I asked Employee if I may use the restroom. They said that they weren't available at the moment. Then I go see and they open the restrooms for other people which, if they didn't wanna let me use the restroom they should've just told me that they didn't wanna let me use the restroom instead of telling me that they're not in use at the moment but still letting other people go inside. It's crazy. I I think Denise should get new supervisor because the one she has today Cindy is not a good worker. For customer service and supervisor she's not good at her job. I purchased a pair of Reebok shoes at the Upland store December 29,2021priced at $19.99 . I was charged $25.99.. I noticed the error in Compton . I realize that they overcharged me today January 1, 2022 I went to the Compton store for the second day to attempt to return the shoes to get my six dollars .the manager Karla G told me that it would be better for her if I went back to Upland because it cost her money to return me the cash. I informed her that she could put it on the card I used. Karla stated they always give the cash. Which is not true. I informed her that that is a corporate issue. I went today to kook for sport's coat. I am going to a wedding next weekend in Kentucky and the weather is suppose to be pretty chilli so I figured I'd wear a suit or at least a sports coat over my dress shirt. They had a few decent brands like Calvin Klein, Perry Ellis, and Kenneth Cole. Sizes varied from 38 small to about 46. Pretty small selection. I ended up with a Navy blue Suit from Perry Ellis Portfolio selection. The Jacket was $89.99 and the pants were $39.99. All together I paid about $135 for a nice suit! Now as far as shoes and belts? Well I didn't see much selection on belts. They did have a lot of ties. Nice ties too. Dress Shirt section was pretty good too. They had a large selection on shirts. Decent hats; Fedoras, Baseball hats, and paperboy style. The place itself is a bit messy and unorganized. They definitely need some cleaning up to do. Wait time in line is not too bad but I feel they get pretty busy, especially on weekends. read more

This Burlington has been good to me probably 10 times. For some reason I could never find anything here I like to wear here. The store is a mess, and they have a poor Selection of women's clothes. The bags aren't up to my satisfaction either. I was told you have to go on particular days to find good stuff. I also heard the management let the employees shop before the store opens so the public gets the left overs. But again, I'm not sure that's true. The home accessories items are great!! They have the cutest things for your home and a very large selection. But the sections are really messy and everything is everywhere. The customer service is medocure and nothing to scream to your Mom about. The area is suspect, so I find myself looking over my shoulders a lot. This is a pricey place to be running in the hood, I have to say that I visited Burlington only a few times since they opened a few years ago. We walked in today just browsing and looking for some jackets for the kids, the clothes here are expensive but the bed and bath section has good selection and is not as pricey as the rest of the store, ended up buying some bedding; the aisles are well organized and the personnel is friendly, they sell brand items and that might be why they are expensive. I have been to the DTLA Burlington many times and the Cerritos CA store once. The Compton store is huge and has a lot of potential, but WHO are the people deciding the clothing? I came in confident that I would buy a fleece-lined hoodie. This is an extremely common type of jacket. I needed to travel to a slightly colder climate in three days. This store must have the largest selection of shoddy-looking men's coats on the west coast. The hoodies were all thin and had tacky sports team iron-ons. Fallas-Paredes does much better than this! I came in to this location today to do a simple return without a receipt because I am a loyalty member. I didn't purchase the baby swing at this location but Burlington has a policy to accept merchandise from other locations. This is closer to me & i thought convenient being i'm 9 mths pregnant.I also made my purchase with a specific credit card so it should've been a easy transaction. Unfortunately, it wasn't due to the incompetent lazy staff. They told me they couldn't take it back after me providing my loyalty # and inserting my same credit card used to make the purchase. This was the final decision of the so called store manager who never showed their face. They acted as if it was stolen. Anywho i took the trip to the downey store where i bought this swing & it was returned without my receipt using My Same Card i used at the compton location. They found it that easy. I asked the cashier why would the employees at compton have a issue doing what she had just done. Her reply was clearly they aren't trained or just didn't want to do it for you. Wow. Definitely the cleanest and largest BCF I've been to, but then again, it just opened. We'll see how long it stays clean. It's huge inside, reminiscent of a warehouse like Sams or Costco, but with nicer flooring. I have two boys that I constantly shop for -- my son, and my biggest kid, the husband. Good size boys section as well as Big & Tall for the hubby. The Women (plus) section is kind of small and isn't all that, which seems to be the norm at all BCFs. And I didn't see any size organization; it was all kind of just put on racks according to style/color. Didn't have time to check out the other sections of the store as my kid started to play ninja with the clothes racks because once he found HIS hoodie that he wanted, he suddenly became really bored. So of course, I couldn't take my time and shop. FYI, he found a black/yellow Southpole hoodie for 19.99, and used with a $10 off grand-opening coupon I got in the mail, came out to 10 bucks and some change. Anyhow, I'm a regular at both the Cerritos and Del Amo BCFs. Now I think I'll just stick to Compton and Del Amo. The Cerritos one is too much of a hot mess. read more

I understand that with the neighborhood it's in, you have to suspect it, but you've also got to have a plan to deal with it. You lessen the possibility that someone (like me) who wanted to buy a lot of stuff, ends up with a few things, because I don't want to carry everything in my hand around the store.
