    Ok so after leaving the gym next door I thought I could maybe find a new pair of workout pants here...I found a few pair but wanted to try them on...the fitting rooms are closed and I was told THEY ONLY OPEN THE FITTING ROOMS ON THE WEEKEND! Wtf kinda bs is that???? She told me if they don't fit I can bring them back!!! So I'm supposed to BUY 5 PAIRS OF PANTS AND TAKE THEM HOME TO TRY THEM ON and bring them back if I don't like them? WTF....only in Compton! I put the pants back and left! I swear every business I go into in the hood, I expect to leave disappointed! Never coming here again cuz that's just stupid! Customer service is TRASH! If I were a manager and saw these kind of reviews and saw my store only had 2 stars, I'd be embarrassed!

    I purchased a pair of Reebok shoes at the Upland store December 29,2021priced at $19.99 . I was charged $25.99.. I noticed the error in Compton . I realize that they overcharged me today January 1, 2022 I went to the Compton store for the second day to attempt to return the shoes to get my six dollars .the manager Karla G told me that it would be better for her if I went back to Upland because it cost her money to return me the cash. I informed her that she could put it on the card I used. Karla stated they always give the cash. Which is not true. I informed her that that is a corporate issue. She should complain to Corporate not the customer. I was not driving 60 miles to get a credit.

    I went today to kook for sport's coat. I am going to a wedding next weekend in Kentucky and the weather is suppose to be pretty chilli so I figured I'd wear a suit or at least a sports coat over my dress shirt. They had a few decent brands like Calvin Klein, Perry Ellis, and Kenneth Cole. Sizes varied from 38 small to about 46. Pretty small selection. I ended up with a Navy blue Suit from Perry Ellis Portfolio selection. The Jacket was $89.99 and the pants were $39.99. All together I paid about $135 for a nice suit! Now as far as shoes and belts? Well I didn't see much selection on belts. They did have a lot of ties. Nice ties too. Dress Shirt section was pretty good too. They had a large selection on shirts. Decent hats; Fedoras, Baseball hats, and paperboy style. The place itself is a bit messy and unorganized. They definitely need some cleaning up to do. Wait time in line is not too bad but I feel they get pretty busy, especially on weekends.

The new dd's location is located in the former Ross. I rarely write negative reviews, but I wanted to share my experience with the dd's located within this shopping center. On June 23, 2026, I purchased a pair of cargo pants from this dd's location. Shortly after purchasing them, the zipper failed. Although I no longer had the receipt or the original tags, I paid by credit card and offered to provide the card information so the purchase could be located if needed. I also purchased two other similar pairs of cargo pants from this same store, including another pair the day before I returned to resolve the issue. I hoped this would demonstrate that I was a recent customer purchasing the same merchandise. When I first asked about returning the defective pants, an associate told me that I could exchange them without a receipt. Based on that information, I returned to the store expecting the defective item to be evaluated. However, when I spoke with the store manager, Courtney, I was told that the original tags were required and no assistance was offered regarding the defective zipper. Receiving conflicting information from store employees made the experience even more frustrating. I then contacted dd's Customer Service through the dd's website. The response I received referred me to a Ross location, even though my purchase was made at dd's. I replied to explain that the purchase was from dd's and provided additional information, but despite following up, I never received another response. I understand that stores have return policies, but I expected better communication and customer service when trying to resolve an issue involving a defective item. Instead, I received conflicting information in the store, my customer service inquiry appeared to be routed incorrectly, and my follow-up went unanswered. I hope this review helps explain my experience and encourages improvements in customer service and communication across the company.
