not exactly understanding how this store is still open. I haven't met one cashier that doesn't have an attitude. they all work against each other. the line will be down the aisle and there is only one register open while another associate is "stocking" when really they are running their mouth to the security who mans the door but sits on his phone the entire time. One of the associates and security today decided to mock a customer right in front of me or thought I couldn't hear. said a lot or things I won't repeat. I think the entire staff should be replaced or the store closed completely. nothing is every put away properly. the store is always a mess. everything everywhere. it is clear they do not care. read more

March 15: If could give this place zero stars I would. I came here close to closing roughly around 10:35pm which left me with about 25mins to shop, come time close to closing I head towards the cashier to pay in which I am met with a disrespectful so called manger of the store who is yelling at me and my wife telling us do you like it when people come to your job last minute, keep in mind the store closes at 11pm an the time was 10:58pm we were very caught off guard and offended. This Manger also had the audacity to say he was old enough to be my wife's father's when my wife had said what's your problem??? Adding that she should not speak to a man like that considering she's a female. We were then after refused service and unfortunately weren't able to purchase the clothes that was going to be donated after me and my wife were replying back to the manger in disbelief which made him more angry. Store closes earlier than advertised. Drove more than 30 minutes to get to the store because the website says it closes at 11:00 and was one of the few in the area that's open that late. Made it there with 10 minutes to spare just to find the door locked. Knocked at the door hoping someone would open and a staff member motioned that they were closed. The store is often severely unkempt (and smells bad). If Burlington can't maintain high quality service and honor opening and closing hours, at this location close the store earlier to give staff time to tend to it and prevent consumers like me from wasting our time. read more

What happened to this store? It used to be HUGE and even though it was always dusty it's now small and disgusting. The store is 60% of what it used to be with them closing off the back end and the large area in the rear left that used to the bedding and decor area and the ginormous baby area that used to be on the right side. The tailor that used to be on the mens side is gone and the huge mens dressing rooms are gone: this store has changed for the worse and it looks horrible. read more

This is review is from before said safety precautions: Located in thee good CH. Plenty of parking available, had a meeting felt well why not. BCF is thee bomb dot com. It is huge, just huge inside. However, I really wasn't pleased with this store. There really wasn't that great of a beauty/accessories selection and many of the shelves were less than stocked. The shoe department was less than to be desired; although, the women's department had some decent things. I must be honest! The store seemed more like a swap meet. I saw cars parked everywhere and I was wondering what was going on so I went in. The store was 50% off of everything except for baby stuff and home goods. They were 25% off. I had an arm full of stuff because all the carts were gone, but I left without purchasing anything because the line was around the building and I was honestly uncertain about the safety of so many people being in one building during a pandemic. read more

Okay, I haven't been here in a few years and now I know why. Went with the wife and the clothes were in disarray in the woman's section. She found some stuff and the selection was larger than Ross down the street. She went into the dressing room and tried on (1) item then she was ready to go because she said it smelled like urine. So we walked around saw more stuff and she tried a different stall. The doors are swollen so it's hard for them to close and still it smelled like pee strongly. Been coming to this particular location for years. They are good for picking up random pieces of anything essential l. What I mean by that is don't expect to find a full suit here. You'll find slacks, belts, socks, and even maybe a tie and pocket square. Just don't expect to find that all l encompassing blazer lol. They really suffer from organization at this location. One time you come in and men's apparel is on one side then you comeback again and it's gone to the other. If yo see anything you like but don't want now I recommend the LAYAWAY!! I promise it will be gone when you come back (probably by me) but seriously you have been warned. This location is big but always seems to be understaffed as well. Their overall customer service isn't bad but they do something suffer from large customer volume and not enough staffing to support these fluctuations. It's been years and they have figured it out so who knows if they actually listen to consumer complaints. They do the best with what they have so I'll leave it at that! read more

This store appears to be under staffed. Compared to the Burlington in Burlington, NC and the Burlington in Concord Mills, NC. This place really deserves 2 stars. However, this store seems to be much bigger with a wider selection of items to choose from. I didn't purchase anything this time. It was to return some christmas gifts. The line was long and there were only 2 cashiers. The cashier was definitely polite but I could tell she'd rather be somewhere else than work. Customer service is so important to me. This place is a mess, but there are good things to be found it you're patient and look hard enough. I have a hard time shopping for my big and tall boyfriend, but I've always been able to find him polos and golf shirts here (and that man loves his golf shirts... I've created a monster!). He's also found a few dress shirts, a pair or two of slacks, a couple of t-shirts, as well as belts and socks. I've picked up a few tops and skirts for work here for myself, as well as a couple of nice things to decorate our home. I really like their accessories section. It's a great place to pick up a few pieces to add a little sparkle to your wardrobe. And they're pretty cheap too, so you won't be heartbroken if you lose or break them. I really love their hat collection. My church alter-ego is Sister Peaches and this is where she goes to have her fun. Some of the "crowns" they carry here makes ol' Sister Peaches break out into a full on Baptist shout! All kinds of colors, sizes and styles... from the pill box hat with the veil to hats so big they should have their own zipcode! They even carry fascinators, which may no longer be en vogue, but that I maintain a strong affinity for. If you are a hat lover like I am, then this section is definitely for you. It's one of the few sections of the store that's actually organized well. My biggest problem is that the store is so cluttered and junky that it doesn't make for a very pleasant shopping experience. Plus the lines can get really long, even though they have numerous registers... Means nothing if only two people are working them, and those people have no sense of urgency and act like they have all the time in the world. read more

I like shopping at Burlington. They always have a selection of home decor, some furniture, clothes, toys, shoes, and accessories at a reasonable price. HOWEVER...today was not a good day at THIS particular store. We came up to the cashier with our items and one of the items had a clearance sticker of $4.99. One of the other cashiers mentioned to our cashier (Anita) that the item wasn't supposed to be in clearance, so the other cashier went to check the price. It turns out that the item had been marked on clearance when it wasn't supposed to have been marked. It happens. But then I noticed that Anita started to get an attitude and I figured she thought that we were trying to be slick and put a clearance sticker on the item, which we wouldn't. She rang up the items after I told her to not include the item that was incorrectly marked on clearance and she just stood there annoyed. I repeated to her that I didn't want the item again and she just sighed heavily like she was annoyed and took the item off and didn't say anything. I wanted to know the total and asked her, to which she replied "you know the total for the items you want to buy, that's the total you have to pay". She was so rude during the whole transaction. I like Burlington, but as long as customer service is the way that Anita reflects, I think I'll just skip them and go on by to Ross which is a few stores down. read more

I was shopping in this location this morning because I was Looking for a suit, because I am going to a wedding this weekend. I managed to pick the right suite but I needed help picking out the correct shoes ,tie and also cuff links. I asked Phyllis for help and he was absolutely fantastic. She went out of her way to help me pick out these items. unfortunately we were not able to find cuff links that I liked but we found everything else and I wouldn't have been able to do it without her help. So on 8/10/20 I visited this Burlington looking for an area rug and towels. I started scoping the whole store hoping to find some deals. My 6 year old twins and 1 year old son accompanied me. I'm appalled that A. When I walked in no one greeted me but multiple employees made sure to stare us down in the worse way possible making me feel uncomfortable and B. A middle aged light skinned black woman with blonde curly hair rudely came up to me and asked me to watch my kids as "she noticed they were dropping stuff" in the store and she said "I'm tired of picking stuff up". Mind you we had been in the store all of 10 minutes and I was watching them closely. I remember distinctly asking them to not touch anything or pick up something they may have knocked over. We have pretty good store etiquette but KIDS WILL BE KIDS. It wasn't even what she said but the nasty way she said it. Furthermore I feel as though she was picking on my kids because she actually had to pick up something and do some work, hindering her 2 hour phone conversation (she was literally blabbing on the phone from the moment I walked in at 7pm until closing at 9pm). Sooooo anyway I rolled my eyes and continued shopping. As my shopping trip progressed, I noticed how much CRAP was on the floor in the entire store. Everything was so unorganized and it was hard to shop tripping over shoes, toys, and other merchandise. Don't get me started on how triflin the bathroom was! I'm sickened that an employee had the nerve to complain to me about my kids dropping an item or two when clearly this store has bigger problems to worry about. I honestly couldn't tell if the employees were mannequins or workers! Treat your customers better! Especially after spending $200 in a short shopping trip! I won't be back. Ghetto ghetto. read more

My husband wanted to find me my Anniversary gift request. Which was a new bedding/comforter set. They had a wide selection for beds from twin to King. Burlington's prices was very reasonable, and other things caught my eye as well. {Namely the figurines and statues as well as clothes and purses} In the words of Dave Chappelle, "WOMEN BE SHOPPING" I fought the urge to pick up more reasonably priced items, and headed to the cashier. When we got to the counter to pay, the service was very friendly and fast! I appreciated stopping at this store, and plan on coming back if I need anything from clothing to household products. ever since forestville remodeled the store its just so pretty to go in and browze...the staff is just so friendly and many times i would just go there and spend hours just looking at all the nice merchandise. they never seemed to mind if i didnt buy anything that day. read more
