I come here only to buy discounted workout clothes, so that's all I'm commenting on. There's really only one rack of workout stuff so I'm usually in and out really quick which I like. Also all of their stuff is brand name (nike, adidas, puma, etc.) and super cheap so way better than going to those stores directly. I will say that the store is sort of messy/overwhelming and sometimes staff aren't super helpful, BUT if you come in knowing what you want and where to get it, that's not really an issue. read more

Ok, so it's in the Gallery. and Ok, so it's a little messy. and Ok, so there's lots of panhandlers hanging outside the front entrance....BUT they have a lot of shoes, clothes, bags, hats, belts, and costume jewelry for me to sort through when I'm bored and walking around on Market Street. Burlington holds a little place in my heart, and although I've yet to buy a coat there (Coat Factory??? ahem, pls bring in cuter coats...please?) and although it's hard for me to find cute shoes in my size, I still stop in occasionally to browse what they have. I usually end up buying something, even if it's just the candy they have on the shelf up front by the register....just don't look at the expiration date - they still have stuff from halloween up and Valentine's Day is in a couple of weeks! smh. read more

SO GRATEFUL for this new location. They used to be on 11th and Market I believe which was an absolute mess. I hated going in there. I gave their new location a chance and I'm singing in excitement. It's MUCH larger than their old store, and much more organized. I always find amazing deals at this new location! I realllly hope they add more mirrors in the store though. There are none upstairs with the purses, outerwear accessories, and jewelry while the downstairs has only a few. It's a small addition that would make a big difference in the ease of shopping. read more

I am definitely no snob but do appreciate the finer things in life, HOWEVER, for a great deal (but not so great service) BC Factory should be on your list of places to go at least a few times a year. Normally I try to avoid the Gallery at all costs! There was a time when I loathed Burlington - mostly because it's so chaotic and they never have my sizes in anything... The only thing I can get here with any success are ties and lately underwear! Who knew that burlington carried 2xist?! And they're only $5 a pair?! They cost $12 a pair at Macy's... And yesterday, I happened to find Seven and Paper Jeans in my size! I looked at the shoes and was a little disappointed, but I'll keep going back... You never know, maybe they'll get something I like in my size! It's worth checking out once in awhile, just try not to make a habit out of shopping here! read more

This review is for Burlington corporate- How uneducated do you think the average consumer is, I purchased an item for $25.00 and returned with a receipt past the 30 days and received a $ 10.00 gift card for the lowest market price. That item was purchased by Burlington from a major retailer for pennies on the dollar,sold it for $ 25 then returned it for $ 10 and put it back on the sales floor. Simple math looks like Burlington is getting $ 25 for that item no matter what and the consumer takes the loss. How many other shoppers have been offended by your lack of customer service, these are trying times for retailers just ask JC Penny, sorry you cant they are out of business. Take a moment and look at the true successful business plan and you will see customer service wins loyalty and keeps people shopping. read more

Terrible organization of the stuff. Very messy. But good prices. No employees around to offer help and assistance.

Be prepared to hunt when you go in here. It's not uncommon to walk out with nothing either, but that's the way it is at a store like this. You flip through racks and racks of clothing to maybe find two pieces you like at a cheap price. Their shoe selection is pretty good though and they always have a lot of sizes left when I go. But don't bother with their home selection, it's really limited. read more

This place is poorly run. Waited in line for about a half hour, check out is always very slow. When I had one person in front of me the cashier decided to let me know she was closing her register and was told to get in a new line. I left and won't be returning. read more

I was walking around two times the first time I saw something's I was gonna get but since I was gonna leave through there doors I left so I can get it on the way out I didn't see any employees until I came to the register I had two bags and wanted to get a bigger one so it would be easier to carry my stuff and the stuff I saw earlier but when I asked for one they said they don't just give away bags assuming I wasn't going to buy anything and even if I wasn't the store could spare one bag so that I wouldn't have a negative experience I suppose they get a lot of traffic and that's why my business didn't matter and everything was a mess for example a lot of product was on the floor if it wasn't it was not sized and/or hanging off its hanger read more

three days before Memorial Day, took my 4yr old daughter to get an outfit for a beach BBQ waited 45min in line, i was the next IN LINE but had to wait because the cashier was tending to a co-worker who was getting employee discount, talking just having a great time. In the mean time my daughter has to use the restroom, 7 other customers are getting impatient and restless. The MOD (manager on duty) short guy with curly bob cut and glasses stood there and joined the in on the cashier and the off-duty co-worker conversation. I wanted to give this location 4 stars, but I kept remembering the associate that was rearranging the racks as I was looking through them. I know you have a job to do, but she was literally moving the clothes off the racks as I was flipping through them lol. I turned to her and said, "Oh, I'm sorry...am I in your way?!" Maybe I wasn't bitchy enough, because she said, "Nah, you're good, keep shopping." A small obstacle for some awesome deals. Great shoe selection, decent clothes. Yeah, it's cheap, but if you take the time and plow through the mess other customers have made, you can find some great deals. I came in with a friend of mine a while back; she was on a mission for a rabbit-fur scarf and I was hoping to find a winter coat and some gloves. I successfully accomplished both of those missions; however, the coat has a faulty zipper which has had to be fixed on multiple occasions (with my dad's help, of course)...However, I plan to stop back in and scrounge up some cool threads--I'm in dire need of a wardrobe update for an upcoming extended stay in sunny Orlando! read more

I'm very pleased with my recent purchases here. This is not the kind of store for everyone. You have to be willing to spend a lot of time here and look through so many racks of clothes and shoes to actually find something you like. But when you do, it's amazing! I recently found 2 pairs of boots here that I love. And because it's nearing the end of boot season, they were marked down even further! I bought a pair of Calvin Klein brown leather boots and a pair of black suede booties for $50 total. Such a great deal! read more

If there was a 13th level of h*ll, this would be it. Selection is random at best. Sometimes I find a great deal, sometimes not. The lines are awful! Customer service is either great or dismal. I tend to get 'tude by the women running the dressing room. If I am bored or happen to walk by, I will stop in. However, it's not a destination shopping trip! read more

I spent almost 2 hours at Burlington Coat Factory shopping for various things that I needed, when I went to check out and all my items were ranged up, I swiped my MasterCard Debit card to pay for my purchases, there was a message on the pad to choose the type of card that I had, so I chose MasterCard, but nothing happened, so I told the "not so friendly" cashier that I was having a problem with my card and that's when she told me that they were not accepting MasterCard. I asked her if there was another register that I could go to so that I could pay for my items, and she told me that all registers were not accepting MasterCard, so I told her that I wanted to speak to someone in charge. A man comes over and I tell him that I want to pay for my items with my MasterCard Debit Card and he tells me that they have a new system that does not accept MasterCard, but sometimes the sales go through. At this point I was really frustrated because I had just spent two hours shopping and now I cannot pay for my items because of this STUPID new system. He told me that they could hold my items for 24 hrs, that my card might work the next day, but as frustrated as I was, I did not want to make another wasted trip. I asked him why they did not post signs on the doors to let the customers know that they were not accepting MasterCard, but he did not reply. So I lost my temper and started hollering at him for the two hours that I had just wasted, when I could have been somewhere else doing my shopping and I walked out. read more

I just went to go buy a pair of dress shoes for my brother's wedding. stop in to payless Shoe Store first. I found one pair of dress shoes there that fit me and they cost $45. so I decided to go next door to see what Burlington Coat Factory had to offer. I found a pair of Kenneth Cole dress shoes in my size for $29.99. You would think that Payless would be cheaper but it's not. Trust me I will not waste my time with payless Shoe Store anymore and go straight to the shoes now when I need them. read more

I had just purchased a Calvin Klein dress from Macy's and just happened by Burlington. I could see the same CK dress on a rack...and it was $30 cheaper than Macy's sale price. Score, right?! WRONG!! I bought the dress my size but got it home and found it was tighter than the exact same dress from Macy's. No worries, as I can exchange it. Yesterday I'd exchanged a dress at the store in the Gallery, but got all the way home before I realized that the employee left the security sensor on it. As I'd planned to wear it for a job interview, that's obviously a problem! To avoid having to go all the way back to the Gallery, I took the dress to another Burlington in Upper Darby, PA, which is closer to my house. I get there and the staff tell me that they don't have the same type of security sensors; but before I leave a male employee says he can check the back for the handheld device and takes the dress in the back to remove the security sensor. Five minutes later he comes out and hands the dress to the cashier. She asks, "we had one of those hand removers in the back?", to which he replies "No, but I used something else to get it off." He gives her an odd look as she folds up the dress and puts it back into the bag. I exit the store but something tells me to look at the dress. I pull it out and find he's ripped a 1 inch tear on the seam!! I went back into the store and show the cashier the tear. Her response is not an apology but, "You can fix it with a little needle and thread. ha ha", to which I reply "that's.not.my.job". She stopped smiling. Of course they don't carry this dress in this Burlington store, so it does me no good to return it to THIS store. Now I have to go BACK to the Burlington in the Gallery, pay for parking AGAIN & hope that they still have the dress in my size for the exchange. My job interview is in two days and I'm dealing with what can only be described as pure foolishness! I'm just so pissed that he couldn't just say "we can't remove it, sorry" or just own up to the fact that he tore it. HTF do you just try to shove it in the bag so I can find it when i get home?! After this experience I will NEVER step foot inside another Burlington! read more

This is really somewhere between two and 2.5 stars. The clothing selection is hit-or-miss, but they have okay selection of home goods. The store staff, however, leaves something to be desired. I've never seen fewer people in a department and more people either having meetings or moving one rack than I have here. You have to hunt to find anyone who's not a cashier...who are prone to bouts of crankiness, not that I can really blame them. read more

i love going to franklin mills on the weekend especially burlington coat factory. there is a lady there named maria (older woman ) that runs the dressing room. god help her that she has to put up with such slops and pigs that just leave everything on the floor. she is definitely and asset to burlington and sure do hope they appreciate that lady. she is a saint to put up with those kind of people. thanks read more
